This task is the fourth in a series of 12. It begins with Ciodaru who may be found at -585, +1135. At the end of the previous task, he mentioned that you must [protect] Kathryn.
You say, 'I will protect her.' Ciodaru says 'You must hurry. Go!' You have been assigned the task 'Protect Kathryn'. Go to Kathryn 0/1 (Goru`kar Mesa) She may be found at -305, -75. Kill 1 Tuffein thug 0/1 (Goru`kar Mesa) It spawns just around the corner from Kathryn, near -305, -115. a Tuffein thug says, 'If it's a fight you want I'll give it to you'. It hits for less than 100 and procs Entrancing Song. You have slain a Tuffein thug! a Tuffein thug's corpse says 'I shall be avenged' Speak with Ciodaru 0/1 (Goru`kar Mesa) You say, 'Hail, Ciodaru' You have successfully protected Kathryn. Ciodaru says 'Thank Tunare you were in time. You have been a great help. If you are ready, we can work on the [food] for her gift.' Kathryn attacked me when she saw me attacking the thug. I killed the thug to save her, and she turned around and hit me with a dot that killed me. Ungrateful little fairy. Might want to kill the thug out of her sight to avoid aggroing her.

I did this with a lev 45 necro, it took 3 attempts to win this one. The fight is easy, but watch for adds. The first time, Katheryn assisted then attacked me - no kill for the quest. The 2nd time, I pulled the thug back along the trail and a willow wisp attacked the thug. It KSed me - no kill for the quest. The 3rd time I rooted the thug and took him down in place with no adds. 3rd time was the charm.

Once the task updates from apporaching Kathryn, the thug spawns just around the corner down the path leading up to the mesa... dunno how hard he hits for, since i assassinated him :) I'll get a loc later.

I went to Kathryn and the quest updated then went around the corner to look for thug, he was dead, someone was camping there and killed him.
