Verkorn can be found in the far west kobold caves, at +780, +1650. You will need to use a rogue shroud or have indifferent or better (with which faction?) to start this quest.
You say, 'Hail, Verkorn' Verkorn says 'Me not crazy! You crazy!' Verkorn is practically shouting. 'Why you bother me? Me have [much to do]!' You say, 'Much to do?' Verkorn says 'Much! Bark! You not [help], you leave. Bark! Me busy. Bark! Me not crazy!' You say, 'I will help.' A task selection window pops up offering two tasks. Select "Prized Leopard." You have been assigned the task 'Prized Leopard'. Verkorn wants to create a totem with singular purpose: steal the orc chieftain's prized leopard. This totem has been design [sic] specifically to give it's [sic] user complete control over the leopard. Now all Verkorn needs is someone brave enough to put it to use. Reward(s): You gain experience!! Steal Ironfist's Prized Leopard by using Verkorn's Totem - Icefall Glacier Bring the Leopard back to Verkorn - Icefall Glacier The prized leopard is Ironfist`s Pet and can be found within the Coldeye fort. It's level 72, snareable, rootable, and does not summon. When aggroed, "a Coldeye Leopard Tamer" will spawn, which is also snareable/rootable and which does not summon either. If you kill the Tamer first, another will spawn and charge. One strategy is to snare the leopard and train him to Valdeholm for a split. Once it is alone, it will not have any adds (provided it's fought far enough away from the fort). Once Ironfist`s Pet is below 20% in health, you can use Verkorn's Leopard Totem to steal it. Note that the leopard is not a charmed pet, so you can invis and run to Verkorn to complete the task. Once Ironfist`s Pet reaches Verkorn, the sixth step will update. Return the Totem to Verkorn so he can study its success - Icefall Glacier Hand in the totem. Verkorn says 'Yes! Good! Good! Magic of mine is strong! . . . Wait! Cat is running away! Oh well. Give me totem so me can fix later on. You still get reward.' You gain experience!! You have successfully been granted your reward for: Prized Leopard. FYI, there is no text given after handing in the hearts other than the Yellow Stage Completed message.
I just wanted to post on how I was able to do this. After a few tries I was able to pull Ironfist's Pet from the orc fort by using nature's balance so I wouldn't pop the add since he spawns as soon as you damage him. I then quickly invised and ran to Valdeholm zoneline. Amazed that I had no adds from this (and never zoning) I used my difficult-to-resist snare followed by my ensnare aa. I am not sure if the trainer adds along with him or not since when I tried this the first time he added at the Vald zoneline when the pet was damaged from my damage shield then he ran back to the fort while the pet stayed right there. On the second attempt he spawned in the orc fort so you do not have to kill the trainer at all for this. Once I had him charmed I had to wait for ensnare to run it's course since he is very slow.
The one thing to watch out for mostly once he is charmed are the see invis mobs along the way. Bloodfoot and his two adds killed me when I returned with Ironfist's Pet but I found that he will path out of the way and into the valley which is what I had to do in order to get him to where Verkorn was the next time around. One more thing I wanted to point out was that you don't have to get very close to the pet in order to charm him. I hope this information helps since I had to learn this the hard way.

i pulled him from in the fort had long train, ran in circles a few times to make sure he had time to come out of fort with snare. zone in and out of val. then quick knocked him down to 20% charm bam.
then had to wait ten min for snare to wear off USE SHORT DURATION SNARE or u'll have to wait.

I did the quest in about an hour this evening. For the worth of the item they should have stopped at the "return the hearts to Verkorn".
The "aura" seems to last about a minute. With a 43 minute recast time, this makes it good for 1-2 fights in 60-80... I put this on the same pedestal as the 10 second pet, also from a quest in Icefall Glacier.
In my opinion, this quest is not worth doing in the current format. Sony, either make the recast time 3-5 minutes, or make the aura last as long as other auras.

stole the pet, brought it back to Verkorn and no update. I tried hailing Verkorn, hailing the pet, hailing everyone but to no avail. Verkorn was out of the cave so I'm wondering if that broke this part of the task.

If more than 1 person is working on this quest at the same time. Ironfist's Pet will respawn approx. 15-20 mins after the totem is turned in.
