Ordunn the Miner may be found at -110, +640.

You say, 'Hail, Ordunn the Miner'

Ordunn the Miner says 'Now that we have the Golden Pick, let me tell you about a secret I've been keeping to meself for some time. Rumor has it that the legendary lost mine of the one armed Ogre, Havack ` Nor, is around here. I think dats de reason why de gnolls chased me out of dere. Dey must think it's some where in those southern mines. Take de pick and see if you can work its [magic].'

Upon hailing Ordunn you receive The Golden Pick again (identifies as "Looks Good as New!"). Saying anything about "magic" as the brackets indicate only returns him to his first quest text.

Enter the first Mucktail Mine 0/1 - Blightfire Moors

Task updated at /loc -2110.90, 3179.73, 0.38.

Use the pick to get two pieces of ore from the first mine 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Inside the first mine you will find rock piles called "a pile of rocks." You must equip The Golden Pick and use it to melee attack the pile of rocks. It may take a few hits or it may be the very first hit but either way you will receive "Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine One." Collect two of these.

Enter the second Mucktail Mine 0/1 - Blightfire Moors

Task updated at /loc -1860.29, 2364.27, -20.73.

Use the pick to get two pieces of ore from the second mine 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Same as above but this time you'll receive "Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine Two."

Enter the third Mucktail Mine 0/1 - Blightfire Moors

Task updated at /loc -2137.28, 1565.71, -46.43.

Use the pick to get two pieces of ore from the third mine 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Same as the first step but you'll receive "Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine Three."

Deliver 2 Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine One to Ordunn 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Deliver 2 Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine Two to Ordunn 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Deliver 2 Piece of Ore from Mucktail Mine Three to Ordunn 0/2 - Blightfire Moors

Turn in the collected ore and...

You toss Golden Pick and the pile of ore you recovered from the various mines down at Ordunn's feet. He digs through the rubble, carefully examining each piece, and shaking his head at each one. Dejectedly he informs you that none of the ore comes from Havack's lost mine but that he will continue to search for it.
You gain experience!!

You receive your choice of 1 of 5 rewards:
Goldshod Plate Bracer
Steelteeth Link Bracer
Moorhide Wrist Wraps
Dewdrop Silk Band
Twice Stitched Miner's Belt

I mined the ore in mine 2 when my inventory was full (dumb, yes) and the ore was lost. It won't let me mine any more. Do I have to restart the whole thing?
reward and the pick too

I managed to get the reward (ie: I chose mana preservation belt) + the pick.
I handed in 3 of the six stones 1st turn in (I chose one of each) then the 2nd turn in I handed the other 3 stones + the pick (I put the pick last). By doing so he handed me back the pick and then let me chose my reward.

I realise that it's been a while since this was posted but I had to respond. A semi-decent piercer? The bonehilt dagger that Dragoneater drops is much better...and certainly doesn't weigh 15 stone

how exaclty? he just keeps sending me back to the first quest. and you cant get the second or third because he wont give the pick, which you should recieve after finishing #1, but instaed he does not give me another pick, just gives me the #1 quest again.

/saying magic only causes him to re-offer the first quest for me

I agree. If this is repeatable, I haven't a clue how. /saying the text from any of the three tasks fails to work for me.

Fixed, thanks.
the pick

You get the golden pick back from quest II. Turning in the final quest item for reward does not return the pick. Note the pick is flagged as 'quest item'.
the pick

You get the pick back too. Its really a semi-decent piercer. Almost as good as what I had at the time. Procs a +1 damage every hit. Keeping it around in case i find any more mysterious mines.
the pick
