Fixxin Followig is a gnome roaming across the entire northern boundary of the Northern Plains of Karana.

    You say, 'Hail, Fixxin Followig'

Fixxin Followig says 'Hail, ______! Fixxin is my moniker. Nice ta see ya. I am a member of the [Fangbreakers] and we are hunting [werewolves]. We run into lots of other [creepies] out here as well.'

    You say, 'What are Fangbreakers?'

Fixxin Followig says 'Fangbreakers? You have not heard of us? We are the best [werewolf] hunters there are!'

    You say, 'What werewolves?'

Fixxin Followig says 'Those blasted fiends hide among normal folk during the day, but at night their bloodlust is set free on an innocent populace. Some claim there is a cure for their condition but the only one we know of is an [enchanted blade] through the bellies of the beasts.'

    You say, 'What enchanted blade?'

Fixxin Followig says 'Interested in an enchanted blade? You wouldn't be planning on hunting the moon beasts without a strong. well-oiled party to back you up, now, would you? Well, in any case, I'll gladly lend you a copy of my book, Fixxin Followigs Silvery Blades, if you will fetch me a bar of silver. My supply is running low and our weapons are in need of repair after the deaths of so many lycanthropes.'

Give him a Silver Bar bought from jewelry merchants for 5 gold. Fixxin will accept 1 silver bar and ONLY 1 silver bar at a time.

Fixxin Followig thanks ______ heartily. 'Here is the book as promised. I wish you luck with your enchanted weapons. May they slay many lycanthropes before they go dull.'

This is no longer a quick way to raise PoL faction. Fixxin will accept 1 silver bar and ONLY 1 silver bar at a time. So this does work to increase your faction but it is no faster than other basic methods.

Fixxin no longer gives the faction hits, he raises Beta Neutral instead (which makes no sense whatsoever). No idea if this is a bug, but no doubt it won't ever be fixed. Thanks, Sony. /shakes head

    Quote:
    /loc of Fixxin?

I found him standing still at P1180, P400 along with Bunu Stoutheart, Nul Aleswiller, and Cory Bumbleye.

    After a time, this occurs:

Nul Aleswiller says, "Ok, you chuckleheads!.. SOUND OFF!"
    Bunu Stoutheart says, "FANGBREAKERS HO!!"
    Cory Bumbleye says, "FANGBREAKERS HO!!"
    Fixxin Followig says, "FANGBREAKERS HO!!"

Then, Nul Aleswiller takes off at a run, heading west. After a bit, Fixxin, Cory, and Bunu take off after him.

All four of them end up at loc P1370, P1870. Then, they buff up. After a time, Nul gives his rally cry, followed by the other three responding as before.

Nul then takes off running east. The other three follow him after a minute or so. They end up at loc P975, N1325.

After some time, the rally cries are repeated, and the troupe ends up at loc P916, P2715.

    Next loc = P1264, N73
    Next loc = P1350, P123
    Next loc = P1222, N1456
    Next loc = P1301, P986
    Next loc = P1445, P1036
    Next loc = P1000, N2080

So, it would appear that they run a route, stopping at pre-determined locations. When I get the time, I will follow them more thoroughly and edit this post with the complete list of locations at which they stop (assuming it is a finite set of fixed locations).

I turned in 121 stacks of silver to Fixxin.
(2420 bars) little over 10 plat per stack.

Previously, I was Max Kos to Guards of Qeynos, Priests of Life and Knights of Thunder.

Now I am amiable to all three.
And of course max ally with Karana residents.
    Yes, they do...

The thing about these guys is, they're not a static spawn. They run up and down the north wall searching for adventure. They run the wall at jboots speed and only stop for recasts of spells etc.
    Can't locate em...

Looked all over the NE section of the zone, and never ran into them. I actually swept the area twice... Does this still exist??

Last time I saw then they were on a hill to the left (I believe that would be west) of the named treant in the north of the zone.

I found the merry band NW of the bridge into EK, and NE of the Gypsy camp. They are against the hills in a small grouping.

I'm a Tunare worshipping HEF RNG, and I did not assume wolf form.

I had six stacks of silver bars, and when I was done, I was ally (after starting out warmly). It wasn't hard, and not very expensive.

The faction may or may not end up proving to be worth it, but considering the minor trouble and expense, why not do it?

Oh, and while I was ally, I was not Max Ally because of the six stacks. Maybe sometime I will do a couple more just to see if I can max out the noted factions.
    possible connection?

    Grimtooh drops some iron shackles.
    So does this guy: http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=3710
And they Both spawn in North karana. Is there a possible connection between them?>
Maybe the guy is Grimtooth during the day, then Grimtooth during the night when he transforms. Can anyone clarify this? Has he ever been up at the same time as Grimtooth?

And finally, has anyone yet made a silver blade and slain Grimtooth as well as other werewolfs and this man with it?

To add on to this. Maybe this is just, sort of a little quest to show you how to make better weapons using trade skills? Makeing the weapon is just to help you kill them?

Perhaps it has to do with the Wolf form and them being wereWOLVES! ;) hehe

Of course, that's just my opinion!

Ok, he talks about how silver weapons can cure werewolfs..i have made a silver weapon using the receipe given in his book..and thought of hunting werewolfs with it..now this post about Grimtooth being found, i have never seen him, but what if you attack him with the silver weapon made using the receipe in the book...maybe it will "cure him" as told in the story line...just a thought.
    give him silver
    # Jul 24 2002 at 3:02 PM Rating: Default
the leader "fixxin something" will talk about enchanted blades, and if you give him a silver bar he gives you a book in gnomish that i supose has information on making some cool weapons
Not very dru friendly all the time..

I'm a 39 halfling druid and they were amiable in my regular form and amiable in wolf.... then another day I went up to talk to and bam all 4 attacked me and I snared them all and zoned to EK (since it was closest and I didnt want to kill because of faction hits)around the whithered treant. Any ideas?
    Didn't kill me.

I was running around collecting Plains Pebbles for my friends and saw this odd collection of people following each other rather stiffly. When I ran up they stopped and I spoke with each one. I am a 30 Halfling Druid with no camo or wolf form and they were nice to me. Since I couldn't figure out how joint their little group, I left.
    Their is a quest

I have seen these npcs, and contrary to what the quest description says their is more than simply a storyline. If you talk to the gnome about werewolves he talks about an enchanted blade which can cure them, and says for a bar of silver he will give you a book explaining how to make an enchanted blade. I have done this and received the book he promises, some xp, and raised some factions a little. As of yet I cannot actually read the book because I think it might be in gnomish since I got it from a gnome, and I don't speak it. But I doubt they would have an npc that lies and gives you something other than what it says it does.
    Why KOS
    # May 05 2002 at 10:20 AM Rating: Default
jeeezz have any of you not thought that tyhe explanation might be simple .....
i read about all these druids ...hunting there-...
a druid on that lvl would use wolfform to hunt in ....
maybe ...just ,aybe illusion Kos ??

    Who is Grimtooth?
    # Apr 17 2002 at 1:23 PM Rating: Decent
Today (Apr 17th) spotted a named critter on track called Grimtooth... tracked him down and he turned out to be a werewolf (green to me at 43... guessing he's around lvl 25ish, easy to take down).

He dropped 'Iron Shackles' - NO DROP, AC 7, CHA-5, Wt 2.7... slot WRIST LEG (looks like a banded wrist)

Tried asking the Fangbreakers 'who is Grimtooth' and 'what Iron Shackles' (with amiable faction) to no avail...

    Any clues?
    Fangbreakers! HO!

I am going to run to Qeynos tonight and buy one and see what happens :)
    Not KOS to druids

To clear a few things up:
I'm a 34 halfling druid, and in either normal or wolf form, the ww hunters are amiable to me and will not attack. So those of you saying that they killed you, it may be a case of having screwed up faction. Most likely they're on Karana Residents faction, which means that if you go kill a few dozen bandits/raiders, you shouldn't have any problems with them.
    why druids are KOS
    # Sep 10 2001 at 12:00 AM Rating: Default
I would think the Fangbreakers attack druids in their wolf forms for certain, and perhaps even when they aren't, because they can turn into wolves. The FBs kill any wolf that gets near them.
