 This is the third in a series of five tasks.

Find Scout Madu in Goru'kar Mesa at loc -1850, -700. This is a short distance to the west of the zoneline to Blightfire Moors.

This task requires that you have already completed "Parlay with the Dromrek". At the end of that task...

You say, 'Hail, Scout Madu'

Scout Madu says 'I don't understand. Your description makes them sound organized. More so every time you come back. But they just keep attacking you, even when you try and talk to them. If you are up to it, would you go [research] a way to talk to the Dromrek? I am sure that if we can just talk to them we can convince them to stop attacking everyone.'

You say, 'I can research'

Scout Madu says 'I think the best place to start would be to go talk to Regan in Crescent Reach.'

  1. Speak with Regan - Crescent Reach

    Location of Master Vanguard Regan is at -1347, -1343, 13.

    He is on the second floor in one of the woven huts.

    You say, 'Hail, Master Vanguard Regan'

    Master Vanguard Regan says 'Well, hello. So Madu wants something to allow him . . . or rather you, to talk to some unpleasant giants? Well, if that's what you're into then who am I to suggest otherwise? But I certainly don't know anything about how you might do that. Perhaps you can talk to Librarian Hemfar, he knows a lot about magical items.'


  2. Speak with Librarian Hemfar - Crescent Reach

    Librarian Hemfar is located at -1446 -1478 -88 on the ground floor.

    You say, 'Hail, Librarian Hemfar'

    Librarian Hemfar says 'Hail. You say Madu wants to create an item that will calm the anger in a savage giant? Well, that's no easy task. However, if you can find the right substance, I might know how to create something that will work, though it will be very narrow in its focus. I'll send instructions along to Madu about how to make it, but you'll need to speak to Naeema first. Ask her which substance would be best used in this task.'


  3. Speak with Naeema - Crescent Reach

    Naeema is located on the second floor in the alchemy area/store.

    You say, 'Hail, Alchemist Naeema'

    Alchemist Naeema says 'Well met. I should warn you that Hemfar, while a fine fellow in all respects, is not a creator. He's good with insights, but not making magical things. However, he might have the right idea. I'll send a wand along to Madu with his weekly supplies. He'll know what to do with it. But you will have to speak with Scout Ethaniel. He is one of our spies and will be able to tell you how to gather Bixie dust.'


  4. Speak with Scout Ethaniel - Blightfire Moors

    You say, 'Hail, Scout Ethaniel'

    Scout Ethaniel says 'Heh! Bixie dust? I've heard of pixie dust, but no such thing from a bixie. Now there is a refined form of Jumjum pollen that the more powerful Bixies use for, well for something, I'm not really sure what. Might be they use it as a food, or a spice or maybe in some sort of magic, I don't know. If that's what you're looking for, you'll have to venture deep into the Stone Hive to find it. Good luck.'


  5. Loot 1 Refined Jumjum Pollen from Bixies - Stone Hive

    Refined Jumjum Pollen drops off various mobs in Stone Hive, such as

    a botanical researcher
    a cultivator drone
    a honey refiner.

    Hunt the area between the top of the 1st elevator and the jail.


  6. Deliver 1 Refined Jumjum Pollen to Naeema - Crescent Reach

    Alchemist Naeema says 'This might work. I'll add some special ingredients to it and send it along to Madu. I'll not have you learning my secrets. Just go back and talk to Madu, he should have the thing you want by the time you get there.'


  7. Speak with Scout Madu - Goru`kar Mesa

    You say, 'Hail, Scout Madu'

    Your task 'Soothe the Savage Beast?' has been updated.
    You have acquired a wand that just might soothe the savage beast.
    You gain experience!!

    Scout Madu says 'Well done! I have the wand. If I can find someone willing to [try again], perhaps this wand will allow us to speak to the Dromrek.'

    This is the lead-in to the task "Parlay with the Dromrek, Again".

This says that Naeema is located on the ground floor. That is incorrect, she is on the second floor in the alchemy area/store.

More on how to find the book:

Enter the hive
Enter the central area with the two curved staircases (ignore the outer hallway unless you are just grinding)
Enter the room at the top of the staircases
Take the right hall to the elevator
Take the first elevator up
Go up the ramp and kill stuff
