1 - Find the burial chamber (gnoll side and due north to the chambers, take the left passage and click the wall)
2 - Check out the plundered chest (just walk over it appare3ntly)
3 - Defeat the Crypt Guardian (spawns across from the chest, didnt attack us)
4 - Return to the guy, hail him, and that's it

Bordan the Cursed is a Drakkin that sits at Loc 1638, 257. This is inside the tunnel that links the giant and gnoll areas of the zone.
You say, 'Hail, Bordan the Cursed' Bordan the Cursed says 'Don't be frightened ____. What ails me is not contagious. At least I don't think it is. This [ancient curse] only kills one man, and that man sits here before you.' You say, 'What ancient curse?' Bordan the Cursed says 'This curse causes a slow death, though so far it hasn't been so painful, just disabling. It was given to me for trying to make off with some treasure from one of the [old tombs]. This is as far as I made it before I collapsed.' You say, 'What old tombs?' Bordan the Cursed says 'Not far from here there is an old burial ground where the giants would bury their dead. It hasn't been used in some time from what I could tell, so I was helping myself to some of the riches that are not of any use to them any more. Lias would you be willing to grant a dieing man one last [favor]?' You say, 'favor?' Bordan the Cursed says 'I never got a chance to look into the eyes of what ever placed this death on me. Would you be [willing] to enter the burial grounds and into the tomb where I lost the last of my life and find out who did this to me?"' You say, 'I am willing' Bordan the Cursed says 'Thank you. You'll need to know how to get past that scale-cursed door.' Bordan leans over and tells you how to open the door. 'It took me long enough to figure that out that I thought there must be riches in there. Now all I want is some small revenge before I die.' You must have at least 3 people in your group to get the task Bordan the Cursed is a treasure hunter who dared break into the old burial grounds that the Krithgor used before the construction of Frostcrypt. While he was searching the tomb for any remaining treasure he stumbled into a curse that is slowly stealing his life and soul. He needs someone to find a way to lift the curse and save his life. Rather easy quest IMO took us less than a min to do. You can coth players through the locked door. I get about 10% aa xp doing this quest. Respawn time for Bordan the Curse was less than 5 mins. We did this quest a couple of times with 75 Cleric and 75 Warrior, /taskadding guildies that needed this gear. The 15 level spread though puts a real damper to it.

this is not instanced it happens in the live steppes
It is however triggered when you get the quest.
Word of warning when you go into the buriul chamber the door locks and you cant get out till the guardian is dead.
Yes you can heal and fight through the door but that is not the way it was intended so when you go into the chamber and look at the chest be prepared for a single mob to spawn and aggro you when you get close to it

Just did this so thought I would write up the details:
Other than having other people in the group to be able to get the task (minimum 3 required), easily solo'd by a lvl 75 CoA geared druid.
- Find the burial chamber where Bordan obtained his curse.
The burial chamber is at /loc 2280, 160. It's in the crypt west of the the Icefall zoneline, east of Bordan's tunnel. Click on the door to open.
- Check out the treasure chest that Bordan broke into for clues about his curse.
Treasure chest is in the room. Simply walk up to it to update the task. But as previously posted, upon this task update, the crypt door seals, so make sure everyone is in that needs to be.
- Kill 1 Crypt Guardian
Giant model. Didn't parse the fight, but guess he had about the same hps as the Burly Giants in the zone. Maybe slightly more. Got hit to test it. Max hit was 664 with 2k ac, 6% shielding, no mitigation aa's. Double attacks and bashes I think.
- Speak with Bordan

Bordan the Bold says 'Thanks. I appreciate your help. I see how greed can harm a person now. I'll avoid such things in the future.'

I was in an "exploration" group, for lack of a better term, on night 2 or 3 of TSS's go live. Someone in group got the shared task, then went AFK. Go figure.
I was then wandering around in the crypt tunnels and found the room with the Chest you have to break open. If you're facing into the crypt from outside in the Steppes, it's the first hallway on the left.
It got fun from there. I was all alone when I broke open the chest, and whammo, the crypt door locked me in and an Undead giant spawned in the crypt with me. He was lite blue to lvl71, rootable/snareable and did not summon. Didnt immediately aggro me when I busted the chest either, as he popped on the other side of the room. No idea what he hits for - I never got hit or casted on.
Well from there I just basically bowed him down. Kept him rooted with Ornate pants, and this took a while, probably 10 minutes.
Apologies that I don't have more exact quest texts and such - I must remember to turn on my logging. Everyone in group got the Fero 1 range item, even those that couldn't use it, which is sort of weak. Given the new rewards system this strikes me as lazy or at best incomplete.
Long story short: if you want to do this task for real, get everyone in the crypt with the chest before you break it open.
