Just to clarify: it's not your character's hair color that matters, it's their heritage color you go by.
My character's hair is black, but he's a descendent of the white dragon, so his heritage is white and he talks to the white dragon and the council member in white robes for these quests,
Heritage was one of the settings in the Appearance setup when you created your character. If you don't remember what you chose, just open the character appearance editor in the game. You can't change your heritage after character creation, but you can see what it is by using the editor.

I'm having trouble getting the first dragon breath quest from Venesh the Greenblood. I did all of the quests from the Council of Six, checked on my heritage, which is Venesh the Green, and I hailed all six dragons in the Dragon's Grove. Venesh is the only one who doesn't turn me away, but he doesn't give me a quest, either.
He says, "Your blood runs as green and as strong as my own. Our journey is done. I freely call you one of my own, a Greenblood and defender of the Circle of the Crystalwing..."
I'm a tenth level drakkin ranger at the time of this posting. Can anyone help me? Am I doing something wrong?

The only race allowed to do this quest are Drakkins, what ever the class is does not matter, but if you look closely to the the top left under approriate races there is only one listed : Drakkin. Which means I guess I dont need to worry about this one =)
Unless I can shroud to a drakkin race, and fool the dragon even though the task does say shrouded NO.

I got in a hurry with my lil monk and went straight to the councilmember to do the proper quest to get the dragon breath. In my haste, I didn't do the quest given by Emissary Tinnvin, Welcome to Crescent Reach. He is located at the spot you first begin. If you forget where that is, just follow the trail north from the city. Go past the guildmasters and the dragons. Go to the top of the hill and he will be there waiting to speak to you. I have done all the quests from all the council members. My respective dragon, as well as the rest, basically told me to go away. I did the https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=3616 and now my dragon speaks to me. I have also done the 3 quests given by Initiate Dakkan. I dunno if those helped any. If you don't know which dragon you are following, look at the color of the markings on your face. Match that color to the councilmember who has the markings of the same color. Follow the quests for that councilmember only to get your dragon breath.

I have done all the work except the turn in on the 10th lvl dragon breath. The quest log even reflects the fact that I have completed it, but he will not take the charbone skull from me when I try and do the turn in. Any help on what i might be able to do?
Am having the same problem with my SK. Just started this thing after finally figuring out that it took 5 other quests to start this.

Once the quest is complete this ability can now be found under the alternate advancement window under the special tab.
Every dragon has different wording for the quests.

As stated below, this is a Drakkin only quest.
The person who created this guide must have had black tattoos/scales. You need to do Mystrana's quests first, of course, and when you finish with those, you are ready to get a quest from a council member. My tattoos are red, so I did Ithakis' Challenge. There are 6 council member, you need to do the quest of the council member with the same colored tattoos/scales as your character.
This will then let you go out and talk to the corresponding Dragon of your scale color (mine was Atathus the Red) and you will get the Breath quests from THAT Dragon. This is my first Drakkin, but I assume you will get all of your Breath quests from the Dragon that matches your scale color.

I'm not able to get this quest. I have done the unlock quest. Council Aide Mystrana tells me "Go speak to the Council of Six at your leisure, bla bla bla. But none of the dragons will get past telling me they won't talk to me. One of them tells me to go speak to Mystrana, but she justs asks if I am ready, then says "Go speak to the...

Oh yeah, I have done the Vakk'dra's Shadow quest. Councilmember Vakk'dra tells me " I see you have looked death in the eye and come away with your life. If you would seek to understand such things better you would do well to speak with Draton'ra. I should have said this in previous post.

And yes I am playing a drakkin and i have completed all the prequests. However, when I go to the Dragon Lords, they do not acknowledge me and tell me either they don't talk to drakkin who are not ???, or go see Council Mystrana.
Something seems very wrong. I have petitioned this and hope to get answer from SOE soon

You have to talk to the *council* not the actual dragons. The council of the 6 are in the same room, around a semi-circle stone thing. You can do all the colors, but the one you *need* in order to continue is the one of your color.
So... i don't see it said anywhere here... but this is a DRAKKIN ONLY quest....

I think we need to mention that you have to do the Quest given by your Council member Basically if you Talk to the guy with the same color scales as yourself, finish their particular quest, then you can do the breath part... But you talk to your Dragon (Same color as your scales)

This task is for tehe first step in the Breath Weapon series for Osh'vir, this dragon and my markings look blue to me on my computer, some other posts say it is black.
1 - Obtain a water sample from a pond in the grove and return it to Councilmember Reakash (blue to me).
These can be found in either of the ponds in the grove with the dragons, looks like a blue genie bottle vial on the bottom of the pond.
2 - Purchase a Wind Chime from Merchant Wyn'las and return it to Councilmember Reakash.
The cost for Wind Chime is 0pp, 0gp, 0sp, 0 cp.
3 - Collect a sample of waterfall mist in a Jar of the Windspirit you can buy from Merchant Wyn'las.
Price of Jar of the Windspirit is 0pp, 0gp, 0sp, 0cp.
There a total of 4 waterfalls in Crescent Reach, 2 in the grove, and 2 outside the city itself, one at each end of the river, no idea how 2 waterfalls flow into the same river from 2 different ends of it, but it is there. You will need the waterfall closest to the entrance to Crescent Reach near the undead fishermen, by the Blightfire Moors zoneline, not the one with the ogre skeletons and the Nokk skeletons at the other end of the river, just swim around in the waterfall for a couple minutes and it will update task and change your Jar fo the Windspirit to a Jar of Mist.
4 - Deliver the Jar of Mist to Councilmember Reakash.

Finally made level 75... Last item needed is

I can't seem to get the actual breath spell. I have done all the quests up to and including plaguebringers head and I can't seem to find out where the breath spell is. Someone please help?
it shows up in the AA window, which opens by pressing V. you select the ability for it so it is highlighted, then press the button that says "create hotkey". then place the new hotkey onto your hotkey bar and it's ready to be used.

All have a DoT and the resist for both the DD and the DoT are based on your color

It's in the appearance section.

This is part of a 15 part quest. The ranks for the quests do the damage as follows.
CR - Crescent Reach
BM - Blightfire Moors
SH - Stone Hive
GM - Goru`Kar Mesa
SS - Sunderrock Springs
Feel free to add in the final rank if you are at that point --- It is the same for every lineage. To find out which dragon you would get these quests from, find out what color your hair / spikes / tattoos are, then go hail a councilmember / dragon of the same color in Crescent reach.
This entire quest is pre-lootable!

FYI: Your tattoo color represents the dragon you follow for your innate ability.....just so you don't do as i did and have to do all the quests to find out.....

Since there are different races that give different text, perhaps this would be best described as [Drakkin Innate Breath] Unless you want to do the seperate quests for each dragon. Here is the 13th in the series for Mysaphar.

i did the Vakk'dra shadow quest and got the text from the councilman but dragon still wont talk to me and yes i am a drakkin sk 5th lvl. i did all the pre quests and everthing. i dont whats wrong do i need to do more quests from the councilman there are more then 1.

Whatever color your hair is, you need to speak with the councilperson of the same color hair.
the quests are all the same, but like posted, mysaphar gives an ice debuff breath skill, not disease like posted.
