This group task is the fourth in a series of five (following "Find Fibblebrap 3: The Hive") and begins with Bellfast who is located in the southeastern part of Corathus Creep (vicinity of -710, +255).

You say, 'Hail, Bellfast'

Bellfast says 'Ohh, this is terrible! Terrible indeed. Fibblebrap's Fibblebrap gem has taken on an odd tint and is on the verge of collapsing! It almost feels as if the gem is reacting to a worry of Fibblebrap's. He mentioned something of a curse, or a power? Or [both]!'

You say, 'Both...'

Bellfast says 'This is awful. It feels like a terrible force is getting closer to [unlocking the power] of Fibblebrap gems.'

You say, 'Unlocking the power?'

Bellfast says 'Quickly, you must head to Illsalin. Seek out Neran Sporestomp, he should have information regarding the location of a powerful alchemist by the name of Bilitan. Only one as treacherous as he could be behind this!'

You say, 'I'll do it.'

Note: There are multiple versions of this task, depending on your group's average level. The only differences are the levels/difficulty of mobs and the quality of loot.

Locate Neran Sporestomp 0/1 (Ruins of Illsalin)

You'll find a tightly wound cocoon up the ramp inside the Wall Watcher's Citadel in the Ruins of Illsalin. It is the structure along the zone boundary (central-north part of the zone - an update location in the Slipgear Cartography tasks).

Clear the room of drachnids and break open the tightly wound cocoon to spawn Neran Sporestomp.

Upon breaking open the cocoon:

You manage to pry away the thick layer of mucus.

Neran Sporestomp says 'I can't believe you found me! Bellfast . . . That crazy gnomework. I was about to suffocate in there. An orc alchemist by the name of Bilitan tossed me to the drachnids . . . The foul beast!'

Help Neran track down Bilitan the Alchemist 0/1 (Ruins of Illsalin)

You say, 'Hail, Neran Sporestomp'

Neran Sporestomp says 'We havent' much time, must make haste!'

Neran quickly runs off upon being hailed, down the ramp, south along the bridge, through the central structure, up the ramp near the serpent statue, and towards the instance zone-in. He'll aggro numerous drachnids along the way, so either clear the area before hailing him or keep your distance. (See this map.)

This step updates as he reaches the broken bridge on the south side of the central structure. If you're in range, he'll cast a knockback on you and propel you to the instance doorway. If not, you'll have to take the long way (you can levitate to the instance entrance, /loc -1655,-510, 109.33).

Kill any 40 mobs in the zone to make Bilitan the Alchemist spawn. (/loc 25, -875, -75) The zone has a fast respawn timer. Note, there is a zombie called "Laboratory Guardian" that spawns in the room at the end of the underwater tunnel.

Upon killing the 40th mob:

Bilitan the Alchemist shouts, "Leave now intruders, or perish forever."

Slay Bilitan the Alchemist 0/1 (Temple of the Korlach)

Go through the underwater tunnel and kill Bilitan the Alchemist. There is nothing special about this fight (in fact, he may be easier than the trash mobs in the zone) except he has a large amount of hps.

im not sure yet but i think there's some kind of phrase involved in opening up the cocoon , i think you have to mention Bilitan the Alchemist to it, not sure yet, will update when/if i find out later

I am sure there are many who are trying to trigger, follow quest text, say key phrase and get offered only missions 1-3 in selection. The trick to get 4th mission from Belfast...

Use 1st mission key phrase instead, "I will do it".

Well, i think sony screwed it up...

Got a group tonight, finally, after about two hours of recruiting ppl, and even replacing a cleric!

we cleared the last two rooms to neram's ****, and when you /open it says that you try to clear away the slime but are unable, or something like that.

so i went back to bellfast rehailed and ran through his text again, ran back to room with the ****, and retried to open it...no spiders had respawned by then... still no go.

i noticed on one of the other dodh tasksi did, the coons went through several emotes to open fully...so it seems like becusesony changedthat, they screwedup neram's cacoon being openable... wellwhatever the casemay be, i tried it like ten times and that **** just would not open.

Ok get this mission from Belfast in CC.

This one like others in this arc can be confusing and a pain. You get the mission and are told to enter Ruins of IIIsalin. Once you enter RoI you are inside the instance. You will be in/over the water like normal, turn left and and you will see a bridge, climb the wall and set camp in the middle of the bridge. Kill the wanderer, and then start pulling the small building that would be parallel to the zone in. Once you have it clear pull the ramp inside the small building, clear till you get to the back of the room at the top of the ramp. There is a mini-named in the area that will drop a +3mana aug and enrage when you do this mission on normal setting.

A cocoon on the floor in the back of the chamber, is your next task target, so have invis and DA ready. When you /open the cocoon Sporemaster Stompsmash (or something like that) will spawn, be ready because you have to follow him, he will lead you the entrance to your next zone. Invis and charge after him, DONT fight the mobs along the way. If you get argo use a potion, re-invis and keep moving, most mobs loose argo if your far enough way.

Now that you have found the next zone the real work starts. This is a pulling nightmare have good puller and CC ready. Before the named will spawn need to perform two things which the Task doesn’t inform you. First, you have to kill enough mobs so that the named will spawn. Second, you have to kill the Red Conned Alchemist Protector (or something close to that). The named is a re-spawn in the back of the water way caves. Actually the named re-spawns in the same spot you find the Alchemist Protector.

Be careful, the number of mobs you have to kill minimum is quite a few. We killed one side, trained roamers away and got magi into water safely. Then once he was in we CoH’ed everyone to him and cleared to the Protector. Well we hadn’t killed enough mobs to trigger named to respawn from the Protectors spot and had to Succor to zone in and clear with the Magi waiting in the back of the caves. After knocking down another fifteen or so we got a zone emote and the final named spawned.

Normal reward for this one is horrible considering how much harder this one is to do compared to other DoDh missions. Can’t remember the name of the augs but it was:

Melee: 45hp augment “all slots except charm”
Caster: 45 mana/endur “all slots except charm”
