You say, 'Hail, Tak`Valnakor'
Tak`Valnakor says 'Welcome back ______. While you were away I went and investigated the ruins and found a rotting tree. There was some type of magical [disturbance] there that I think you and a handful of adventurers should investigate.'
You say, 'What disturbance?'
You have been assigned the task 'Suchun, the Blood Warden (Raid)'.
Enter the Petrified Tree - Ruins of Takish-Hiz
The zone-in is located in the Ruins of Takish-Hiz, just north of the portal to South Ro.
Enter the Blood Warden's inner sanctum - The Root of Ro
The event is triggered by getting close to Suchun's platform.
Slay Suchun and his minions - The Root of Ro
You have entered Lair of Suchun.
Destroy the wall separating you from Suchun's lair, and run inside.
Suchun shouts, 'FOOLS, MISCREANTS! I have safeguarded the Blood of Ro for ages. Your endeavors shall be in vain!'
Suchun, Blood Warden of Solusek procs Clutch of Suchun throughout the encounter. If your endurance or mana gets too low, you will get ported to the lava and deathtouched.
Your first order of business will be to destroy the five Gateways to Solusek Tower which spawn one by one.
The room phases briefly as a portal materializes from the Tower of Solusek Ro.
Each gateway is susceptible to a certain attack, as are the adds it spawns:
1st = Piercing and Cold-based spells; Mephit adds
2nd = Hand-to-Hand and Magic-based spells; Efreeti adds
3rd = Slashing and Magic-based spells; Fire Elemental adds
4th = Blunt and Magic-based spells; Gargoyle adds
5th = Ranged and Fire-based spells; Dervish adds
Shortly after the portals are destroyed, Blaze and Char become active.
Blaze and Char both flicker in and out of this realm briefly. . .
Blaze procs Blazing Tears and Char procs Charring Touch.
Shortly after Blaze and Char are dead, Suchun becomes active and ressurects the two drakes.
Suchun breathes life back into Char and Blaze, rising the phoenixes from their ashes.
Suchun shouts, 'Foolish Mortals, did you believe you could defeat my army? Your attempts to steal the Blood of Ro must be stopped!'
He is now at 60% health and needs to be killed. He can hit for ~6000; single-target rampages; summons; enrages; and AEs Doom of the Blood Protector, which if not cured in time, triggers a deathtouch.
Gateways to Solusek Tower also begin spawning again with the same adds.
You have slain Suchun, Blood Warden of Solusek!
Suchun shouts, 'Do you realize what power this blood holds? Your possession of Ro's Blood will seal your demise!'
You have slain Char!
You have slain Blaze!
Your task 'Suchun, the Blood Warden (Raid)' has been updated.
After Suchun, Blaze, and Char are killed, the task ends and an ancient chest spawns with loot. Depending where you are in progression, you (and everyone on raid) receives a Vial of Smoldering Blood or a Black Shard of Mana on their cursor, a part of the Deathknell access quest. |
