Dark Reign: Lair of the Blackwing

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Pericolo L`Morte (click for map image) in the Dark Reign camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum Level 63 - Minimum "apprehensive" faction with Dark Reign Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Lair of the Blackwing'. Scouts return with reports of black-winged drakes that hunt our operatives in the Dragon Lands. I need a group of adventurers to journey to the Nest and clear out their lair. Slay six of these creatures and return with one of their talons with proof of your success. Be forewarned, our scouts report that these drakes belong to corrupted brood, a clutch that hatched near the epicenter of the curse which has spread through the Nest. It is whispered that necromantic magic now corrupts their bodies, making them more volatile and malignant than ordinary drakes. This will not be an easy task. Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. Touch the portal to the Nest 0/1 (The Broodlands) The entrance is the dragon portal in the far northeastern part of the Broodlands. Kill 6 Black Wing Drakes 0/6 (The Nest) Loot 6 Black Wing Drake Talons 0/6 (The Nest) Deliver 1 Black Wing Drake Talons to Pericolo L`Morte 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains) Head into the earth/sand wing (northern wing of the zone) and kill 6x "a black wing drake" (found throughout the caverns). Loot 6x "Black Wing Drake Talon" from them, and then hand in one of them to Pericolo L`Morte to complete. Excellent work. You have cleared the way for the Dark Reign scouting parties. Now they no longer have to watch the skies in fear and can concentrate on their missions. I'll inform my superiors of your success. They should be most pleased! cant get the task with one person :(
Pop your merc and then just get somebody near your level to join you so you can pull the mission. They do not even need to be in the zone with you for you to get the mission. Three is the minimum to pull these missions as well as LDoN missions.
Word of warning...if your 'borrowed' third toon drops the mission and leaves you with only two people, the mission will end in two minutes. As incenctive the third person will get the crystals if you win. My wife's bazaar trader gets all kinds of free crystals while sitting in trader mode while I sweat it out in the lave caves, but I could not pull the missions without her /grin.

as of today Mar 4 2007 at level 68 I will only receive 34 ebon crystals.

Today i got one and at 65 with a 67 and 2 70s, we got a quest for 59 ebons.
