The 6 Black Orbs are easy. You just get a shared task from Or`Sarro the Youngest in Arcstone, then go kill the named mob that corresponds to the task you got in either Relic or Arcstone, and everyone in the task gets an orb. And the mob also drops an extra orb.
#1 is an instance raid
#2 is a raid mob in Relic - several days respawn
#7 is a raid mob in Arcstone - several days respawn
#9, 11, 12 are group mobs in Relic. They're always up.
The 7 Gray Orbs are random drops from named mobs in Arcstone and/or Relic. They are tradeable.
#3, 4, 5, 6 drop from named mobs in Relic. Many named/rare mobs in Relic start with "a" so they can be hard to distinguish from trash mobs.
#4, 8, 10, 13 drop from named mobs in Arcstone
Note that #4 drops from named mobs in both zones, and it's the most common.
All 7 gray orbs can rarely drop from trash mobs in either zone as of 2018. But you're still much more likely to get these from named mobs.

This is a solo task but obtaining the required items takes a mixture of group and raid tasks, and normal grouping.
Apprentice Mage Sarcrynn may be found near the entrance to Relic at +130, -1040, but paths away to the north. He will return to his original spot after about 5 minutes. You say, 'Hail, Apprentice Mage Sarcrynn' Apprentice Mage Sarcrynn says 'All day long Ao has us wandering this blasted slope, hunting for spell components. He claims it's part of our training before we can become true mages of Relic. Bah, I think he just wants to keep us busy while he studies the [real magic].' You say, 'What real magic?' Apprentice Mage Sarcrynn says 'Ah, you want to know about the true power of the Plane of Magic then? Come closer then, let us speak more in hushed voices. I have overheard the Elder Scrykin talking of great things. . .' You are now offered a task selection dialog. You have been assigned the task 'Black Orb of the Scrykin'. Sacrynn says, "The original thirteen scrykin were created by Druzzil Ro herself. Because they were created directly by a divine being, they are infused with an extra bit of magic that not present in any of the other scrykin. Over time, this extra magic coagulated in the center of their bodies, forming an orb of concentrated power. If you can find all the orbs of the original thirteen scrykin, I can combine them for you into the Black Orb of the Scrykin, a sphere of untold power." "Six of the original thirteen scrykin are still alive. Their black orbs can be extracted only once the elder scrykin is defeated. Speak with Or'Sarro and he will help you find them." The Grey Orbs drop comes from the "Mini-nameds" in Archstone and Relic seem fairly random. I agree that I've seen more of 3,4,6, and 13's in Relic but I've seen them drop in Archstone too. The Ph's in Relic are mainly random. You have to kill all the mobs in certain spots for them to spawn (seem to be edges of the Map, although their is a Willo-wisp "mini-named" that seems to spawn near the port up platform). So, yes these are annoying but easily done by raid equiped people. The relic onese require trio's but it's boring so get a full group to kill all the wandering mobs you never know if a mini will spawn.
Sadly People who can't even obtain this are selling these orbs for insane amounts in the Bazaar. Daosheen is a raid event needed for DK access. So, this limits the value of these items greatly. Due to the inability of non-high-end-raiders to get this augmentation. I don't understand why they'd pay more then 100 pp a piece for these... Seriously most of these drop from mobs that can be duo'd. Sure it requires alot more for someone not a raider to kill these guys. Porthos the Secondborn isn't a joke either for a casual raiding guild. (Probably impossible).
This aug is nice but on my raids I see alot better ones drop from raid mobs. And now that anguish is easily 1 groupable the 90 hp/mana/endruance to 150's can be gotten easily in less then 2 hours. So, I don't see why a raider whould pay these absorbant prices (Minus the MUST have now types) but if they've got time to farm the pp for this then they can easily get these orb's.
As for the Black Orbs all of them if you get the Quest gives EVERYONE in Group if group quest the Orb and if Raid Quest the Whole RAID get's the orb... Normally 3 orbs on the Corpse of the BLACK orb ones.

A high end raider may not want to spend the time to get the easy orbs after obtaining one from the uber raid mobs. What's a few thousand pp to them, when they could be raining in the AA's instead of camping for doo-doo exp?

I replaced the PP within a day, by selling a couple pieces of GM armor.
What something is worth is relative. Now I have a really nice augment, whereas before, I only had some PP, that was relatively useless to me.

The Relic drops are a royal pain in the **** since no one seems to xp there and the PH are not well known.
Seeing Bazaar prices of over 100k per Orb, cant see anyone paying 700k+ (for the grays) to get a 90hp/mana some stats Aug, when equal or greater Augs are dropping off one groupable mobs in Devestation as well as the Augs in Anguish.
But, as was posted before. The Daosheen-Black will stop 99% of the population from getting this quest done for a long time

black orbs 1, 2 and 7 are Raids - Daosheen for Orb 1 will limit the people finishing this quest to members of raiding guilds.
gray orbs are tradeable and are sold in bazaar for 50 to 90 k
gray orbs 3 till 6 seem to drop in relic form red con mobs
