This task has at least 3 available difficulties: Levels 58, 63, and 66+. Each have different possible loot rewards associated with them.

Tak`Valnakor may be found at +6885, -1350.

You say, 'Hail, Tak`Valnakor'

Tak`Valnakor says 'Welcome back ______. I've spent some time looking over the tablets you brought me and I believe I am begging to understand them. They seem to make references to rumors of a group of acolytes of the Burning Prince within the elven community that met in secret in the years leading up to the destruction of Takish`Hiz. I'm uncertain as to the author, but I suspect these could have in fact been inscribed by the last Queen of Takish`Hiz, Tak`Yalir. Tragic indeed if the Queen suspected the influences of the Burning Prince and failed to act. I've had previous reports of the ghost of an elven queen near the ruins along the coast that I had dismissed, but if her soul believes she had failed her city perhaps it really is her ghost. Perhaps we can lay her spirit to [rest].'

You say, 'Rest?'

Tak`Valnakor says 'Find the spirit of the wayward queen and try to find a way to put her weary soul to rest. Good luck ______.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Burning Prince'.

Speak with Queen Tak`Yaliz in order to be ported into an instanced version of the Ruins of Takish-Hiz. In this zone, everything sees invisibility, everything is mezzable, charmable, and lullable.

A detailed map courtesy Weake can be found here.

You must search out and kill five priests in various points of the zone:

- One in each of the three outer towers.
- Two in the main building (through the main entrance to the building the back and down to the twin towers underground in the back)

Prince Tak`Salir will spawn in the center of the zone with a few friends. He hits for 1850, AEs Curse of Silir (30 seconds after landing, DDs for 8000), and has a single-target lifetap called Death's Beckon.

You will get one piece of loot from the Prince's corpse based on the mission level.

Prince possible loot level 58
Sleeves of the Stone Trunk

Prince possible loot level 63

Prince possible loot level 66+
Stoneleaf Staff
Stone Leaf Wrist Bands

After killing the Prince, return to North Ro and see the Queen.

Upon completing this task, you will be offered a final task in the series -- a 54 person raid.

Need confirmation as to what loot drops from each tier mission, there are also likely rewards from this mission that are not linked to this quest page yet.

For those of you who want to finish this mission quick, the 2 priests in the twin tower can be single in 10 mins if your group willing to sacrifice one of your members.Note:This member must be a pet class or this method wont work.Have him/her summon a low level pet,run to the ground entrance of twin tower and use command << /pet attack priest >>.And run back to an open area nearby group's camp when the OOC mark change into battle-mode.Now,there should be one priest and a couple friends chasing you, just have someone pull the priest and let the pet class people kite all others or just die if there are too many adds and priest cannot be single. Now,you must pull as fast as you can, even there might be 3 or 4 adds you still have to take the risk because The priest WILL NOT walk back to his camp,he will warp.Use archery or any instant-clicky if you can. After you done these priests, nothing tough left.Burning Prince is a joke in today's standard.Any melee can tank it as long as you have one healer and one RGCer.

Paci Pulling
# Sep 01 2007 at 11:50 PM Rating: Decent
Pacify pulling will help out a lot and a good Enchanter will make things so much easier. Be ware of the last Priest in the back main building's tower as guards around him will agro with him even if they are pacified.

And of course Remove Greater Curse for the Prince's curse within 30 secs FTW.

The 5 priests are no longer in the 3 outer towers and back twin towers. There are 2 priests in 2 of the 3 outer towers; 1 priest in 1 of the twin towers; 1 priest in the Northern circular basement room of the Western building (same building as twin towers); 1 priest in the Northwestern building.

Just did this mission for a friend.

The final prince had the listed spells from the other posts about this mission. Also, he has a fear spell.

Ive done this many times and had never been feared. This last time, he feared myself (monk), our main tank (warrior), and our berserker. All of us are Anguish-ToB-ish geared, with decent resists.

We pulled him to the zoneline, so when he feared us, all three of us ran directly into the tower to the south aggroing all the mobs within. So when I came out I FD'd, np. Berskerer and Warrior, however, were healed by our cleric, spreading the aggro love to the whole group.

We did fine, burned down the 6? or so adds while our Beastlord off tanked the named. Then killed named, was no problem. I just wanted to post because I think that lesser geared groups would have problems with the adds and named at the same time. Or, let your cleric know that you are feared so they dont heal you.

Dropped the the sleeves, they werent chain though, were plate.
Task 3 for lvl 70 caster aura

A person that has already completed mission 1 and mission 2 can actually get the 1-group task (Mission 3) 'message from the past' for the lvl 70 aura. To do this, talk to Tak`Valnakor in Nro and say 'Visit Her'. This will allow you to accept the task. After accepting the task, visit the queen to get the crown, then say 'prepared' and she will port you to an instanced version of Takish'iz.

There are three items you must collect once in the instance. Two come from chests in the south, and north buildings, nearest to zonein, and one comes from a High Priest in the far west part of the zone.

Once the pieces are collected you will zone out of the instance using the rope. You will land at the real zone in to takish'iz in south ro. Zone back in and head to Eldar forest. Inside Eldar Forest you will find the younger version of the queen, named 'Maryn Tak`Yaliz'. This is who you hand all 4 of the pieces to. (the three you got from the instance, and one crown that the queen in Nro should have given you)

No Spell for this Mission
# Apr 08 2006 at 3:32 AM Rating: Decent
Completing this mission unlocks the third group task. For the third task, you hail the task giver again, then see the queen. Note: as soon as you hail her, she hands you a crown. It locks the mission and you can no longer add people to the task from that point on. After she hands you the crown , you say something to her (can't remember) to zone back into an instanced version of takish-hiz. You must collect three pieces in this zone to hand in with the crown. The first two items can be found in a chest, one in each of the two towers closest to the zone in. We had a Necro run in, aggro all the mobs and train them out. I ran in and looted the chests real quick and the mage in our group Coh'd us back to the zone in. The third mob is back in the same place as the 2 priests in the previous mission. Have to clear a lot of trash to get to the named to get the final piece. Once you have them all, you zone out into SRO, then back into the REGULAR ruins of takish-hiz, then Elddar forest. In the first building slighty ahead and to the left of zoning in, there is a named mob in the back right corner of the room. Hand her the four pieces to spawn a chest. Dropped a neck item. all/all with 105HP/Mana and some other stats. Cleric, Mage, Druid, Wizard and Necro all received a level 70 aura. Paladin did not receive an aura. One other thing....... I was the only one in the group who had done all three missions but the others all got their aura. Unlocks a fourth mission that requires a raid.

Thank you so much for this post!

The named mob for turn-in is Maryn Tak'Yaliz. She requires the 3 drops from the mission and the crown.

Samequest giver but this starts by hailing the queen she is in the southeast corner near the beach in a tower. Say"enter", You will zone into Takish Hiz instance, kill five priests -one in each outer tower (3)- then there are 2 in the main building (the big builing in middle West of Zone. Go in through the main entrance to the building the back and down to the twin towers underground in the back.

The towers they are in have 3 mobs below, one roamer on the ramp, and then 2 plus the named above. Simply clear the bottom, and then pet pull the named single down. If not just go up and mezz kil all then back down and up the other side before you get repops.

Everything sees invis, they are mezzable and charmable, they are lullable. You must have a chanter or my favorite, a bard I'd say. Everything respawns. Be ready to succor/evac and do the priests in the big NW building last. Prince dropped a random piece of attuneable CRAP (7 stats, 100 ish mana/hp end)

Named of the second mission after you kill the 5 priests is called Prince Tak`Salir Prince hits 1850ish, but not that fast.

He casts Death's Beckon every 60 seconds (single target high powered lifetap) Tank reported it landing for 1800ish. DR - 200.

He also has a AE Curse, which is Curse of Silir. This is a MR -250 check DoT with a trigger. After 30 seconds (and the spell wears off) it fires Curse of Ice Trigger and you take 8000 Damage unresistable. I am not sure the number of curse counters as Lucy does not list the exact number - it says unknown calucation. (didnt seem that frequent, was not a problem for us)

Thus - it is very important to Resist or Cure (RGC!) the curse as it lands. You can not let it run 30 seconds. (For those Fimilar with Bloodeye and Arch-Magus, similar effect, just its not a DT).

Slaying The Prince prompts you to travel back to North Ro and hail the Queen

The second mission took us the longest. I suggest bringing a tracker (ranger, druid, bard, or any toon with eye of tallon (mage etc) to find the priests to spawn the Prince. Mobs in all the missions didn't hit too hard.

As an aside I was able to pull through windows and a hole in the roof in one spot and just have the bard mezz the adds while I cast ethereal elixir with the cleric and the group assists me to take em out one at a time

The next task after this is the one which gives most casters their "Aura"

To get the task from the guy in NRo say - visit her - Similar task - Take an evaccer and just fight to the tops of the towers, have the same person that has the crown from the task giver to do all the looting for final turnin in the Eldar zone, loot a chest - evac - rinse repeat - clear and pull named. Has a nasty dot - cure asap

This is also a required arc for access to ToB

Final task after that is a 54 person raid - progression -

Prince's AE
# Mar 08 2006 at 1:07 AM Rating: Good
Prince's AE is curse of Salir. It can be resisted 250 MR check, and it fires an 8k dd/10 sec stun when it wears off. If it rebuffs you get another minute before you have to worry about it firing again. It can be cured by 1 shot of rc3 or word of vivication. Its up to your group if you wanna cure/resist the ae or let it rebuff you so you don't have to worry about the ae til the end. Hope this helps.

Again, sorry for not being completely certain about everything.
According to what I understood this is the 2nd mission out of 3 missions you need to finish and win in order to get the level 70 spell.
BUT, If I'm not mistaken, there are other missions for the melee discs...I do not know what they are though, if anyone does- please tell us :)

For the auras of warrior and bard you need to do the three skylance missions from ao the fourth in arcstone.

You can find them by looking him up in the arcstone zonelisting. First mission of those is the hardest imo.
simple info
# Mar 07 2006 at 9:59 AM Rating: Decent
Well, I've done it once with a group.
Been easy with a good group, Pally(16k+hp buffed), good chanter, Cleric, mag, bard puller and Rog.

The mission is finding 4 Priests, kill them.
Once you kill the 4th one, the Prince will spawn in the arena in the middle of the zone... kill the prince and win the mission.
Prince is a 1.8k hitter max.. the trick is, he casts a curse on the group that can pretty much kill anyone in around 30sec or so, so simply call for a cure and you'll win easy.

Hope it somehow helps, sorry for not being more specific .. done it only once :)
