After talking to Holwin, you talk to Ton Po to get this. You need a Verdant Tessera, some Finely Woven Gold Mesh, and some Silken Strands.

Ton Po says 'So be it, the test of strength you shall have. Bring to me a verdant tessera, some finely woven gold mesh, and some silken strands. The task will not be easy, but it should serve as an adequate test of strength, for one of your abilities.
Reward: Back Straps of Mastery

it says in the quest description that the minimum level to do this is 45, but the mobs you need to kick are lvl I'm guessing they say 45 just because that's what lvl you need to get in the planes. Is this info still current, so I'd need a decent group to take the mobs, or would a 47 monky still be able to solo camp these items?

Is it necessary to do any of the other monk quests in Sky before doing this one, or can you do it directly? I have one of the quest items for this (and can but the tessera in the Bazaar) and wanted to know if I could complete this one without doing the others.

Also, may seem like a dumb question, but where in Sky exactly are Holwin and Ton Po?

The finely woven gold mesh is droppable. It is the rare item needed for the quest. It comes off the boss of what I call "Island 2", the one with all the harpies and great big eyeballs floating around. I think the boss monster is called the "Gorgalask". I also got the silken strands off of the same island, although I seem to recall seeing them drop on the next island (the one with the pegasi) as well. The reward for the quest can be equipped in the wrist or back slot.

The finely woven gold mesh I got dropped of the boss of the azarak island (forget name of mob, but is one that shows up after you've killed all the azaraks.) So can drop in more than one place.

Note that the silken strands are the only part of this quest that is no drop. Both the finely woven gold mesh and the verdant tessera are tradeable. (Silken strands are not to be confused with the droppable silken strand that drops off PON spiders, hehe, are not anywhere close to the same item, just coincidentally have similar names.)

Nope, Finely Woven Gold Mesh is indeed droppable. If my memory serves me it drops off the Azerack Isle boss.
