This group task begins with Moe Wilborn in the Seafarer's Roost on the docks of East Freeport, at -1060, -1130.

The mobs and rewards in the task will scale based on your group's level.

    You say, 'Hail, Moe Wilborn'

Moe Wilborn says 'Arrgh, what do you want? Can't you see that I am drinking the great ale that we have been blessed with? Ha ha ha ha ha! Those crazy stories of [ghosts] couldn't keep me away from here.'

    You say, 'Ghosts?'

Moe Wilborn says 'You heard me correctly! Some of these other fools were scared off by the thought of there being ghosts in Freeport. They say that ghostly chants can be heard coming out of the theater at night. It has made them afraid to walk the streets at night. Not me though! [I'm not afraid] of any ghosts. '

You say, 'I'm not afraid either'

Moe Wilborn says 'Ha ha ha ha! You look like you would be afraid of some ghosts. Well if you think you're brave enough then why don't you [go check out the theater] to stop the rumors.'

Moe Wilborn lifts his mug of ale. *glug glug glug*

You say, 'I will go check out the theater'

Moe Wilborn says 'Well go ahead and stop wasting my time. There is ale that needs taken care of.'

You have been assigned the task 'Creepy Concerto.'

Patrons have been reporting ghostly chants and loud music coming from the theater late at night. Citizens are afraid to walk the streets at night and it has affected local taverns. Enter the theater and find out the source of the creepy noise that is scaring people.

Find button in the map window shows the route to Theatre of Tranquil (/loc -1050, -585)

Clear the theater of any creepy inhabitants 0/1 (Theater of the Tranquil)

Clear the zone of regular trash mobs. There are roughly 30 of them.

Put an end to the loud music 0/8 (Theater of the Tranquil)

Kill the eight members of the undead band.

Note that some mobs may be tethered or gate away:

a maiden of the night fades away and returns home, distracted by the alluring music that fills the theater.

Upon completion, "a creepy chest" spawns and faction bonuses with Freeport are gained.

Your task 'Creepy Concerto' has been updated.

With the music stopped and the theater clear, citizens of Freeport can now feel safe about walking the streets at night.

Your faction standing with Citizens of Freeport has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with The Freeport Militia has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Coalition of Tradefolk has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Knights of Truth has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Priests of Marr has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Dismal Rage has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors has been adjusted by 75.
    You gain party experience!!

You don't have to be in Theatre of Tranquil to get the faction adjustments.

Among the items that may be found in the chest:

    - Cape of the Living Dead (unlisted on Lucy yet)
-See the rest of the chest loot here.

Are the adjustments above positive or negative? Some of the factions listed are in opposition to each other, like Knights of Truth vs Freeport Militia or Dismal Rage. I can't see all three of them going up at the same time.

I've been going through this mission on various levels (via shrouding) from 45 to 70. The entrance does work, you just have to click on the door to the theater when it is either completely open or completely closed. When the guards path through the door, it will open normally - just wait until the door stops in the open position and click on the edge of it. You zone in.

The zombies, shadows, and musicians are not tethered, which you can use to your advantage when pulling. Killing the band seems to still have no effect on the tether.

If you have more information on the quest, please send logs and/or screenshots to eqteam@allakhazam.com. As you can see, we're also missing information about various quest rewards. Please run Lucy's Item Collector in the background as you play so the missing items can be listed on the site.

    Zone in.. and other info

... Adding a few other notes about this mission.

The zone in for this mission is in East Freeport, not West Freeport. You can use the <find> feature to locate it. (If you hate running through West Freeport, take guild hall portal to Arcstone and drop into East Freeport, you will be close to the mission giver.)

There is a gaggle of Freeport Militia that path in and out of the door you click on to zone in. If you’re KoS you may have to run around in circles until the door closes so you can click in. Same for clicking out, if you’re KoS and zone out, you may end up in the middle of the guards.

We set up camp on the opposite corner of the stage and pulled to there. (Area surrounded by the moat) As stated before, half the mobs are tethered so pulling is easy. We cleared the non-tethered mobs first, and then worked our way around to the others. Aggro range is small, but some wander. The Cooks and Bartenders are behind counters with boxes and other objects you will get hung up on. Clearing the stage may be tricky if you can't split pull, so clear zone first before musicians. *note: we did not get a task update until the musicians were dead too.

Creepy chest dropped the leather legs for us. We did not check the time on the chest before we opened it, but after realizing no one wanted the loot, we called in alts, but the timer was already down to 5 minutes. My guess would be a total timer after opening the chest to be 8 minutes.

Our group was - 70 Pal 11.5/2100 w/SU3 (partial def aa's) - 60 War - 67 Cleric - 68 Necro - 68/70?? Enchanter - 69 Rogue. The level 60 got the task. The mobs were all blue to 70 accept the Singer who was yellow. All mobs red to the 60.

The mission seemed lengthy, but once we finally got rolling it was decent. Level 70 got almost 1 full AA at 90% to AA. Level 60 got 3.5-4 yellow at 100% to level.

Hope this was useful and not a lot of babble.

    Did this today.

At level 70 everything conned Dark Blue, except the Singer -- who conned yellow.

He enraged and hit me as hard at 1.5K.

The task can be simply stated -- kill the zone. While it shows two steps, those two steps require you to wipe the zone.

Reward was a list of faction hits (good).

The Chest was called A CREEPY CHEST and spawned on the stage where the Singer was.

In the chest was Leather Greaves of Avaricious.

Everything is undead. The Maidens, Cooks and Bartenders appear to be tethered.

The zone is named Theater of Tranquility.

I see several new items that are posted here but none of them have been updated into the system. I even sent SS of the items that I posted about and they are not in the database yet. How long does it take to get the information on the website so that it's available to players? The only reward listed is the Ghostrider's Broom which I have yet to see in any of the tasks that I've done.

*edit* These items are in the Magelo database btw.

Please download and run the Lucy Item Collector. It really does help us get these items loaded in the database and linked to these pages much more quickly.

In the near future, it will be the only way we add items to the database (yay, no more manual entry by us!), which will keep the names and stats much more current while letting us focus on entering the metadata like the fact that the item drops in a particular zone and is the result of a particular quest.

incorporeal mobs (a maiden of the night, a ghostly cook, and a ghostly bartender) do tether.

When they tether they mem wipe and also CH. They don't dispell any spells that are on them though so they'll reagrro if they're dotted. I found it was best to pull the mobs that are close to the incorporeals and then engage them near thier spawn point.

    Creepy Concerto

Clear the theater of any creepy inhabitants 0/1
Put an end to the loud music 0/8

Patrons have been reporting ghostly chants and loud music coming from the theater late at night. Citizens are afraid to walk the streets at night and it has affected the local taverns. Enter the theater and find out the source of the creepy noise that is scaring people.

    Reward(s): none listed.
    mobs
    # Feb 24 2006 at 9:43 PM Rating: Decent
    Level 70 group

a skeletal musician (con blue to white, all can be placated although the even con resisted some)
    a skeletal singer (con yellow)

(following all con blue and are not the band)
    a shadowy figure
a maiden of the night (tethered while band is up, possible roamer)
a ghostly bartender (tethered while band is up)
a ghostly cook (tethered while band is up)
a blabbering zombie (not tethered, possible roamer)

a ghostly bartender and a ghostly cook are usually behind counters with a maiden of the night and a blabbering zombie being patrons.

a shadowy figure, a maiden of the night, and a blabbering zombie are also the audience for the band.

a maiden of the night and a blabbering zombie do roam. (There is about 5 roamers)

    no repops.

Tethering: When the mob is far enough away from its static spawn, it resets to its full health with no argo with the following emote (<mob name> fades away and returns home, distracted by the alluring music that fills the theater.)

Argo radius is low even without placating.

We did this last night it seems bugged or maybe has to be done in a certain order. We started killing mobs and noticed they were warping back to spawn with full health and were mem blurred. So we killed the band and continued on with the other mobs. However still got the music emote and mobs where still warping to bind. We moved to each mob and killed to bind. We had no mobs left standing and no reward and task would not complete.
