Tris Wallow III is located on the second floor of the spire among a few roaming dark drachnids.

You say, 'Hail, Tris Wallow III'

Tris Wallow III falters slightly. Her skin is cracked and pale. If the stories are to be believed, she is remarkably well preserved for a being that must be thousands of years old. She gazes at you with piercing, dark eyes. 'Please. . . [help me], _____. . .'

You say, 'We will help you'

Tris Wallow III screams as her flesh peels and curls from her body, revealing the source of her unnatural longevity. Her musculature grows taut. Ears and an elongated jaw sprout from her beautiful face. Clawed paws replace her delicate hands. She releases a bone-shaking howl and rears up to attack!

Tris Wallow III turns into a werewolf and begins attacking. She flurries, hits for ~4500, and procs a charm.

Tris Wallow III changes between three forms, somewhat timer-based. When she is about to change, you will see this:

Tris Wallow III shudders, as if she is about to change forms.

Hair, fangs, and claws retract as Tris reverts to her original form. She is so weary she can barely stand. Again, she pleads, 'Help me . '

Tris Wallow III is now in human form, non-KoS, badly hurt, and asking for help. Do not attack her at this point.

In a short time, she will change forms again:

Tris Wallow III regains her strength, her demeanor instantly shifting from helpless to smug. 'Aha, my beauty has returned.'

In this form, Tris Wallow III is still human but is now hostile. Tanks should remain on her, but keep DPS off. In this form, she may summon numerous enraptured manservants to her aid and procs Color Corruption. She also emotes the following to random people:

Tris stares deeply into your eyes, and you feel her taking over your mind You should look away.

If you fail, you'll be hit by Entrancing Glance (mez) or Compelling Glance (charm).

You successfully averted your eyes from Tris' compelling glance.

After a bit of time being in human-KOS form, she changes back into a werewolf:

Tris Wallow III screams as her flesh peels and curls from her body, revealing the source of her unnatural longevity. Her musculature grows taut. Ears and an elongated jaw sprout from her beautiful face. Clawed paws replace her delicate hands. She releases a bone-shaking howl and rears up to attack!

She is again KoS and doing heavy melee damage. She also summons several shadowmanes to her aid while in this form.

When she gets below 8% health in werewolf form, stop DPS'ing her. Once she changes back into a human, have your healers heal her to 100%, and then hit her with Remove Greater Curse.

Tris cries out in agony as the lycanthrope is partially purged from her body.

Tris has successfully been cured of her lycanthropy.

Upon victory, "a dusty chest" spawns with additional loot.

You say, 'Hail, Tris Wallow III`s Spirit'

Tris Wallow III`s Spirit hangs her head in shame, 'If there's one flaw the Master and I share in common, it is vanity. My decisions have caused the suffering and deaths of . . . many. I'm not sure there are enough apologies in the world to excuse the trouble I have caused you. For whatever it is worth, I am deeply sorry. I'm not long for this world. Before we go our separate ways, there is one favor I would like to ask. Is there a rogue, enchanter, wizard, or magician among you that could [assist] in destroying the Master once and for all?'

If you're an enchanter or rogue:

You say, 'I can assist in destroying the Master.'

Tris Wallow III`s Spirit unsheathes a gleaming short sword of unique design, 'This silver blade has given me the upper hand against many of Dreadspire's shadowmane. It is light enough that I was able to use it effectively. Now I bestow this blade to you. In your hands it should prove useful against the Master and his minions. Perhaps you can succeed where my enchantments and guile have failed.'

You receive a Jagged Silver Shortsword.

If you're a wizard or magician:

You say, 'Hail, Tris Wallow III`s Spirit'

Tris Wallow III`s Spirit produces a small wand that radiates intense waves of heat, 'The Firestarter Wand has the ability to ignite certain abominations aflame. Use it wisely, as there are a limited number of times it can be invoked. In your hands it should prove useful against the Master and his minions. Perhaps you can succeed where my enchantments and guile have failed.'

You receive a Firestarter Wand.

Tris Wallow III`s Spirit fades away.

Some Easy Boxing Strategies

There are 2 types of charms: one for the person with highest aggro (the tank) and all for those who don't look away. The charm cannot be resisted, works up to the current max level (115), lasts around 1 minute and cannot be cured. It is very possible for a player to die to a damage shield during that time, however their damage is reduced and is easy to brush off.

Pets cannot be charmed, so the secret to boxing this fight is pet tanking. A Shaman can solo the fight using a combination of /pet attack during werewolf phases, and /pet ghold during heal and cure phases. The only time DPS matters is in the initial burst to 0%, the rest is just making sure she stays aggro'd on the pet. You can also swap the pet off to kill the adds as long as it has built enough aggro. I personally used a rogue to burst down the initial phase, then swapped to non-damage weapons and stuck him in a corner. Do not use dots as they will interfere with the healing phase.

I still recommend a second healer as it will reduce the duration of the fight and likelihood of charm. If all players are charmed the event resets.

The link above for the Color Corruption spell is currently incorrect. It just links back to the page for Tris Wallow III. Here is the correct link for Color Corruption
Use RGC even if Eradicate Curse could heal more counters....

arrrg.. this Mob was a real pita...

1. Beat the dumb nut down to 0% - you cannot kill her - don't mess around with dps
2. use RGC not Eradicate Curse (wtf ... that is a real stupid thing... after beating her over 20min with everything tried... he reacted on ONE SINGLE CAST)

She can charm nearly the whole crew at Lvl 105 if you need to much time because you waste it in things like "Eradicate Curse.." - and even kill you with that...

For people who want to have a complete Epic 2.5 - this is really easy if you know that.

Here are my lessons learned for the Tris fight:

As stated you can only DPS her in Werewolf form. Make sure you do not have anyone DPSing her that has the Finishing Blow AA. Otherwise you will burst her down to 0%. I'm not 100% sure if this matters or not but be warned. When I saw the warning that she was about to change form I pulled my pet off fast. I also did not use any Dots. Swarm pets cast as soon as she transforms worked out fine plus I had nukes loaded. When she spawned adds, I pulled my pet off of her with 'back' using ghold/focus, just to make sure I didn't miss the signal that she was changing forms and kill her by accident. Once we got her werewolf form down to about 15% hitpoints I just had my pet melee her down slowly. The lowest I took her was 4%. She will heal when she changes forms so I kept dropping her hps down to 4 or 5%.

As stated you have to keep healing her to 100% (in human form) and topping her off because her health will drop. It takes more than one Remove Greater Curse. We thought maybe three or four but again I'm not 100% sure. You will see the emote, "Tris cries out in agony as the lycanthrope is partially purged from her body." As long as you see this emote, you are on the right path.

Be patient and keep at it! Then all of a sudden the fight was over. Best of luck getting your 2.5 page.

Special thanks to Punkness, and Purselightener for help winning the fights and Encanis/Ankarv/Candaan/Cienna for the consultation on the fight mechanics. My necro page dropped on the first successful win.

#Raccoo, Posted: Aug 05 2015 at 11:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) She also has a charm that works on level 105 (although in its description it says it works to level 99). She was able to get three characters charmed before the first of their charms wore off.
Weighted Hammer of Conviction
# May 21 2013 at 3:17 AM Rating: Decent
Really easy if your cleric has Weighted Hammer of Conviction from Tacvi. Because you're casting on an NPC there's no recast delay timer. So it is by far the fastest way to heal her up to 100% before casting RGC in *both* human phases. It wont take longer than two cycles with one cleric and probably you'll get it on the first transformation with two clerics wielding this hammer.

Echoing Madness
# May 17 2007 at 7:32 PM Rating: Decent
Don't try Echoing Madness (virus mez) on the adds here.

It will land, but not spread. The spell data shows it will mez up to L73, and these mobs are L71-72 so in theory it should work...it doesn't.

I'm going to assume the virus effect works up to L70 only?? I'll have to test that, otherwise the event adds are specificly coded for virus mez to not work.

The Jagged Silver Shortsword is usuable by both ENCs and ROGs, so ENCs dialogue and item is the same as the one for rogues.
