    /loc of Abigail?

Example of a quest with multiple faction requirements.

You need somewhere around 25 faction (mid indifferent) to get the quest from Abigail (Clerics of Tunare) and amiable to get the needed Bar of Ronium from Lord Searfire (Temple of Sol Ro).

    You say, 'Hail, Abigail'

Abigail says 'Greetings! I am the holder of the secret of the [Breastplate of Ro]. You may rest here. You are quite safe within this camp of paladins.'

You say, 'What Breastplate of Ro?'

If less than around 25 faction (low indiff):

You need to prove your loyalty to my temple. Go to Felwithe and seek out the Clerics of Tunare. Prove to them your faith. Then ask the leader of this church if you are a [honored member].

Go to Felwithe and find the paladin guildmaster Tynkale. If you hail him he says. "Hail, noble _____! Can you be of [service to the Clerics of Tunare] or are you not from our order?"

Ask him "am I an honored member?" and he responds with "Yes. The light of righteousness shines from within you." when you have sufficient faction or "When you have furthered your service to the Paladins of Tunare, we shall make conversation." if you do not.

    Once over:

Abigail says 'The Breastplate of Ro mold will be awarded to you. First, you will perform a test of strength. Go to Faydwer. There you shall seek out and destroy the Teir'Dal who carry the dark cauldrons!! They have been venturing into our lands and capturing many Koada'Dal and Fier'Dal for cooking purposes! Bring to me two of their dark cauldrons.'

The Dark Cauldron drops from "an ancille cook." Hand in two:

Abigail says 'I instructed you to return with no less than two dark pots.'
Abigail says 'You have earned the mold. You will now need go and speak with Thomas about [Lord Searfire].'
Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare got better.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Anti-Mage got better.
    You gain experience!!

You receive a Mold of Ro Breastplate.

    /loc of Thomas?

    You say, 'Hail, Thomas'

Thomas says 'Welcome to our camp. We are paladins gathered from many lands. We have been called to this land by our deities. Ours is a crusade of righteousness. Have you happened upon us by chance or do you [seek the sacred molds]?'

You say, 'Who is Lord Searfire?'

Thomas says 'Lord Searfire is a great forge master. He was called forth to the land of fire lakes. It is said that he now toils in the name of Solusek Ro within a hidden temple of that land. He and he alone knows how to obtain [ronium], a needed component for forging the sacred Armor of Ro.'

    You say, 'What is ronium?'

Thomas says 'It is an alloy created from two rare metals. Only [Lord Searfire] knows the formula.'

Once you get the mold for an item, you need to talk to Lord Searfire, the Dwarven Smith in The Temple of Solusek Ro. He must consider you amiably (with which faction?) before he will deal with you. He will then give you the Sol Cauldron and tell you how to do the next step, which is acquiring the ingredients to make the metal ronium. These are: Melatite (Dropped by MB and MC Clockworks in Solusek's Eye. You can also sometimes buy them from the Gnomes in Solusek's Eye since many players sell them if they find them), Two Bars of Enchanted Platinum, Mistmoore Granite (from Gargoyles in Mistmoore), the Sands of Ro (from sand giants) and Soil of Underfoot (Get from Priestess Ghalea in the Kaladim cleric's guild for 4 fairy dusts [need at least amiable faction for this]). Put them in the cauldron and hit the combine button and you will get a bar of ronium. You do not need the blacksmithing skill to combine these.

Once you get the ronium, you need to combine it with the mold in a forge to make your item. Any regular forge will do (don't use the race forges). You need at least 15 skill points in blacksmithing for this.

Need all dialogues, current faction hits if any, /loc's of quest mobs, quest items, minimum faction information, any other missing information.

Well this set of armor for pallys is the midway armor for you, same as Ravenscale, Dark Forge, Crafted, Cleric Quest when there was only 50th lvl this was the armor you recived before you went to the planes, it was (and still is IMO) great mid-lvl armor. though nowadays you can see lvl 5's in full sets of this, but technically you are suppose to get this armor your self and all the pieces drop in the lvl apropriate places. when i was but a young druid 20ish.. most of my friends who where my lvl still wore Bronze and Chain, nowadays the twinks rule.. and i see lvl 15 druids with better than what im wearing, and when i was thier lvl i wore full leather.. with no wisdom items and my trusty FS scimmy and Shiney Brass Shield.. (the SBS was my most prized posesion)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 08 2001 at 10:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Am i missing something here?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 13 2001 at 6:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You really should quit complaining. Really. At least you HAVE a lot of interesting quests. Druids have almost no quests, while you have some that give some great rewards. Also, questing is, at least in my opinion, much more fun than camping anything (Plat ring for Paw, for example), and, the rewards for your quests are great as well. Don't complain just because you have difficult quests. Be thankful that you at least HAVE some quests.

You know...for faction with Lord Searfire...you can just kill dervs...get as many Dervish Cutthroat rings as you can...buy them from people in Nro, and go to Sro to turn them into that Orc guy...(turn right from zone in...and keep going against the right wall..you'll see him)...he's on the Temple of Ro faction...that's how I did it...much easier than killin shadowed men 8)

    Good luck 8)

The best way to increase faction with Ro and all his minions is by killing Shadows. Just about every class needs some item they drop so it shouldn't be hard to get a shadow group together between level 30 and 40, especially in WC.

Hehe. LoL.. This is not the hardest part of Ro armor quest.. A group of 30ish to 35ish Can go in to MM and camp all the things needed at 1 time. And while your at it you can camp 2 other things. Here the best way I have see it done.. Get your group into MM castle, and tuck them away in the Maid room.. There are 3 pops in the maid room, so having a bard or chanter is a must. Clear that room, and you have about 28 mins to take out the 2 that pop in the hall, and the other 2 that pop in the butler's room right next to the maids room. After you have cleared those 2 rooms you should still have about 18 to 20 mins left. Run to the kitchen which is right down the hall. You may not even have to go in.. See's the Anicile Cooks can see though the walls.. Pull them back to maid's room.. Kill'em. Get your pots.. Also in the maid's room, 1 garg will spawn.. If you want to get more MM Granite, just pull the 2 gargs that are right next to the kitchen. In 1 trip here and 2 hours of playing.. I went from lvl 36 to 37, got 5 Pots and 7 pieces of MM granite. As far as faction goes.. Just go to Paineel. And spend about 3 hours killing skellies in the newb zone. This is the best place to get bone chips.. I got about 700 in the 3 hours I spent there.. You only need to turn in about 250 to get the amiable faction.. But, if you are doing any Ro quest, this should be 1 stop you make. Cuz, cleric guild love them bone chips.. And love you for givin'em to them. The most difficult and pain in the ars part of Ro Armor is getting the Melatite. Which only drops in Sol A off the Clock works.. But, from what I have seen. There is a bonus to doing the Ro armor, cuz number 1 your learn your way around alot of difficult places, and number 2, you always get more than what you need. When I went to Sol A to farm the Melatite, I not only got 12 bars (weighing in at 5lbs each) but 3 Charred Guardian Shields, 1 Molten Cloak from Gabbie who pops in the clock works castle, 2 Mitirl Quills (Junk) but good fer newb's and some other crap like Defrenite, mineral used in makin totemic armor..

So, to sum it up.. Yes the quest is long, yes some of the Ro' armor is no where near as good as other armor obtainible at the lvl.. But if you do the quest, your bound to get a lot of goodies to make cash along the way.. I just make the Ro' Bp's and sell'em for 1200pp each.. Not a bad deal considerin it only cost 220pp to make.. And I sell the bars of Ronium for bout 600 to 700pp each. So, I hope some of this is useful..

i hate MM.i was there and i got all the way to the kitchen with a 34 warrior, 46 warrior (myself), and a 57 pally. the dining room is rough and botht imes we got the whole room and almost died. first time the 34 war died and pally just gave him a revive. he had to use LoH on me. it was pretty scarey. anyway while i was there i got 2 cauldrons and 4 pieces of granite. when the pally died when we got like 6on us i got stuck in the kitchen, so i logged and waited for the rescue party to get there, then i relogged. MM can b a tricky place and i just advise people to BE CAREFUL.

    # Feb 11 2001 at 4:56 PM Rating: Default
This has got to be one of the biggest pains in the *** to do considering what you get for the reward. I'm a dedicated Paladin so I did the quest. Not only did I have to get all the regular components for ronium, but I then had to give the Clerics of Tunare in Felwithe about 14 stacks of bone chips!! Took me forever to get enough to get the proper faction. Of course then you run to Rathe Mtns and then run again to FP to FINALLY get the piece of armor. Oh well I guess it was worth it. Tests your patience and skills as a Paladin.

Ugh, don't do bone chips for Tunare faction. Give muffins to the dwarf in the hog caller inn in freeport, cheaper and alot easier to get.

You get a faction hit for 1 but you can hand them in 4 at a time to speed it up.

Key to killing MM... take along a level 49 wiz and train the entire castle to zone, 2 supernova AoE spells kill em all nicely. Loot up! I did this, it was funny as hell, bit of lag when the spell goes off since so many things are dyin at once lol

yeah right man like a lvl 49 could get 2 novas off in time. After the first one they would most likely all agro him and hed take like 5 seconds of hits and die. and good luck gettin that second one off cause i am nearly POSITIVE that at least 1-3 ATLEAST if not all of them, will agro him and he wont be able to get the spell off without gettin interupped...but thats just what i think, i could be wrong :P PS i got nothing against wizzys..hell i think they are the ****!! :P

PB AoE spells like Supernova don't have a mob limit - hence the way AE groups work, by creating as big a train of mobs as possible and having 3 or so wizards use PB AE spells to kill them all. Of course, an enchanter is also necessary to keep the mobs stunned and stop them from reducing the wizards to a pulp. :)

In this case, you probably wouldn't manage to get 2 Supernovas off, but 2 wizards could do it. And 2 novas would kill most mobs in Mistmoore outside the castle, not too sure about inside though.

    RE: Dark cauldron no drop?
    # Sep 17 2000 at 6:14 AM Rating: Default
    NO =)

They're no drop. However if you can get to the Kitchen in Mistmoore and kill the cooks, they drop quite frequently. I camped maid/butler for a while to get fangs for my Warrior. I broke the Kitchen a few times, and kept it broken for a few rounds each time - I must have seen 25 cauldrons drop. I looted about 15 of them, then they took too much space in the bank so I destroyed most of em ;P.

The same goes for granite: If you can get to the Maid/Butler rooms, just camp those and get all the granite you need (there is a gargoyle in each of the rooms). I would avoid the 4 garg room, as there is a roamer - if you're not high enough level and he aggros, the whole ambassador room will come (or is that called the negotiator room? *shrug*).

RE: where is this dark elf camp
    # Nov 12 2000 at 6:02 AM Rating: Default
The camp is in Lesser Faydark, which is probably why some are having trouble.

The dark elf camp can be found a few different ways, and wandering around aimlessly is not one of them. If you know where the Orc Chieftan or Nybright Sisters camp is, its very close to there. It used to be some empty tents, but now hosts the DEs that are highly aggro.

If you come from Steamfont or Greater Faydark, follow the wall left of the entrance (past SF entrance if you are coming from GF) until it turns right. Go right, but when you see hills coming a bit out from the zone wall, and it looks like something could be hidden on the other side, go away from the wall. I dont know what level these things are, but you don't want to walk right into the camp.

If you can find the Mistmoore zone, coming out and heading to the right, you will pass a camp of 4 sisters (nybrights) and not far past that you will see the camp. Its more obvious from this direction, but still stay a good distance away.

I have hunted the Teir'Dal Elites and Prophets for hours at a time (great xp) and none of theses things dropped.....maybe they are EXTREMELY rare and not worth ur time or this is incorrect. It is possible they drop off the priestess or dragoon which is too high and i never got a chance to kill. As to answer ur question, they are located along the wall, taking a right and following the right wall for abour 1 minute and ur there...be careful they're VERY aggro. hope this helped good luck =)

    Mistmoore granites and dark cauldrons
    # Aug 24 2000 at 1:59 PM Rating: Default
The dark cauldrons are the hardest items to obtain. Being a high elf paladin of 39th rank, I naturally needed a help from two of my guildmates, a level 53 shadow knight and a level 50 magician. We entered the castle invisible and waltzed directly to the kitchen. Beware, there are a few castle inhabitants who can see through invisibility. Once we were inside the kitchen, the shadow knight initiated the attack, while the magician quickly created a pet. I joined the melee after the first cook was down. Blessed Tunare both cooks had the dark cauldron on them. After that we moved to the maid/butler rooms and pulled from there. In the end, we walked away with a good number of granites and a few dark cauldrons. Alas, much to my guildmates dissapointment, no fangs were dropped.

The breastplate statistics are quite dissapointing considering how daunting the quest is. However, its shiny silvery look makes all the efforts worth it.

May Tunare be with you in your quests,

Nothing major here to add, but wanted to pass along two bits of info, one, no smithing skill is required, my paladin has never smithed a thing in his life, and has made 4 pieces of Ro Armor, and two, the Ro BP is a greater lightsource too, very handy to have I think, and it's not mentioned many places. It's a great piece of armor.

[I have been told that this might have changed, and that now you need to hunt down some Tier Dal cooks in Greater Faydark. There is definitely a new dark elf camp in G Fay, so this might be accurate]
Actually, the new DE camp is in Lfay. Along the mountain you would follow to the sister camp or MM.
