This group monster mission begins with Guard Draugdin at -155, 0 in Highpass Hold (a little south of the entrance to the non-instanced Highpass Keep).

You say, 'Hail, Guard Draugdin'

Guard Draugdin says 'Hail ______. Don't mind me, I'm just reading though a [book] I found on a crazed goblin that I killed recently. He was trying to start a riot in the basement of the Keep.'

You say, 'What book?'

Guard Draugdin says 'After looking through this book I realized why he was a crazed goblin. He had become obsessed with the idea of [control] of High Keep. I don't know what inspired such a ridiculous notion in his head, but it obviously drove him mad.'

You say, 'Control of High Keep?'

Guard Draugdin says 'Yes, he had it all planned out. Why don't I read you some of this to give you a [glimpse] into his mind.'

You have been assigned the task 'Storming the Keep'.

In order for the goblin revolt to be successful, you must free the goblins in the jail! Make your way to their cells and fight through any guards who stand in the way, for they hold the key to your success!

You can play a level 50 Goblin Warrior, Goblin Shaman, or Goblin Firestarter.

"Iron Jail Key" drops from any named guard or captain.

Free 5 jailed goblin 0/5 (High Keep)

In the jail cells in the basement: one per cell. You must give a goblin a key in order to "free" it, after which it will despawn and your task will be updated.

Slay 20 guards 0/20 (High Keep)

Generally, NPCs with the word "guard" in their name count towards this step. Some captains also count (not all of them do).

Note that merchants and quest NPCs will also attack you on sight, but do not count towards the 20.



Reward is either Fur-Lined Plate Boots or Pickclaw Trinket.

The Location for Guard Draugdin in not listed correctly.
He is located at -275, -325, -23.

I have tried this several times. The best we have finished it was in 47 minutes. I average about 50-55 minutes to do it.

We use:
1 tank
1 shammy
4 mages

That seems to be the best set up. The tank can pull and draw agro from adds.

I tried that group composition as well. It worked nicely. Previously we tried 2 shammys, 2 mages, and 2 warriors...and that group sucked. No dps. Definitely go with the 4 mage, 1 war, 1 shammy.

Doing the mission is fairly easy. You'll probably kill more than the 20 guards just to get the keys. At level 68, I got about a yellow of regular xp from this. Anyhow...

I did this mission once today(and once last night, but i had to leave before the end), ater doing the other mission like 7 times, and you DO get the same exp as the other, BUT when we did it with 1 shammy, 2 mages and 3 wars it took us 1.5 hrs, the key dropped like every 7 kills, we got 3 in the first 20, then had to kill like 10 more to get other 2, i havent tried with the 5 mages and 1 shammy, but the other HPH mm is MUCH easier, and faster, but this is just my experience with it

I ran this one several times when DoD was new and nobody was doing HHK MM missions. It was like pulling teeth to pull people away from fairy.

Anyway, after I got the layout down I could pull the mission and finish it in around an hour-1:10 or so. Having as many mages as you can helps alot. Multiple warriors is a waste.

And this is the last post I have time for.. In this mission I trioed it with the wife as usual and we picked one warr, one cleric and one mage (with one heck of a pet.. yes, pet is your friend) This mission is much easier than the mission opposite of it where you play guards. In this one the killing 20 guards is really easy, they don't have random pathing and agro, are mostly single pulls till you get upstairs. Group temp is great, see other posts on the other hhk MM (I don't want to be the one to get it nerfed) This mission is straight forward, no huge secret to share, but I must stress that the pet comes in real handy, so grab a mage (or 3). I'd post more, but there isn't much to say on this one and I really need to get to work. Have good guard slaying.

important to note is chest is down by golblin prisioners and you can not open till you turn in 5 keys but as soon as you loot the chest you are kicked from zone. if you have killed the 20 guards then you get the xp, if not just the loot.
Another Couple Notes

If you zone out, you will actually zone into the real Highhold Pass and will no longer be a goblin. But you can get back into the mission by heading to Guard Draugdin and saying 'glimpse' again.

If you do happen to loot the chest before you kill 20 guards <like we did> then:
(A) You WILL get kicked out of the zone back to HH Pass.
(B) You CAN still get back into the mission by saying 'glimpse' to Guard Draugdin again.
(C) You WILL get your AA/xp if you finish killing the 20 guards <we did>.

Guard Draugdin is in Highpass Hold at n144, n2, p1. If you're looking at the entrance to HighKeep, he's on your right.

Loot 5 jail keys "Iron Jail Key" drops from any named guard or captain.
Free 5 jailed goblin In the jail cells in the basement: one per cell. You must give a goblin a key in order to "free" it, after which it will despawn and your task will be updated.
Slay 20 guards Only NPCs with the word "guard" in their name count. During our mission one or two of the captains counted (but not the other captains) and some of the guards didn't count. Assume it's bugged.

Monster Choices:

Goblin Shaman lvl 50

In this mission, you start with gear in your inventory and should equip it. It's not automatically equipped.

Fur-Lined Plate Boots transmute to Decorated Plate Boots at level 63.
