Find Cartographer Slipgear in Corathus Creep at -285, +200.

You say, 'Hail, Cartographer Slipgear'

Cartographer Slipgear says 'Bzzt! Well hello there! It's always nice to see a new face! I get so tired of all the same faces and places, don't you? Unfortunately my left leg is jammed and all I can do right now is walk in little circles! Bzzt! This has made it pretty hard for me to finish up the maps I have started of the surrounding areas. Would you like to [help]?'

You say, 'I would like to help.'

Cartographer Slipgear says 'Great! What I need is really pretty simple. I've managed to overhear some of the new arrivals talking about some of the surrounding areas and they sure do sound really exciting! Bzzt! Since I can't go there myself right now I was hoping you could visit each one and then come back and describe them to me so I can add them to my maps. Do you [accept the mission]?'

You say, 'I accept the mission.'

You are presented with a task window with several options. Select "Explore Stoneroot Falls."

You have been assigned the task 'Explore Stoneroot Falls'.

Cartographer Slipgear has asked you to visit some of the locations he has been hearing so much about lately. Visit each location and return to him with notes on what you have found and he has promised to reward you for your efforts.

The Living Isles

Giant mollusk-like creatures with impenetrable shells and incredibly slow metabolisms drift near the base of Stone Root falls. Know as the Living Isles, their exposed backs are home to some of the most dangerous wildlife in Darkhollow.

The Deeping Way Trade Route

The Deeping Way Trade Route consists of a network of bridges which crisscross one another along the precipitous Stone Root Falls. Less than one hundred years ago, it served as a bustling trade route of the Shiliskin Empire. Since the siege of Xill however, the trade route has fallen into misuse and is regularly beset by drachnid raiders. Only the battle-hardened remnants of the Xillstart legion remain stalwart enough to patrol its length.

Versarin, the Fallen Outpost

Long ago, Versarin Outpost server as the Xill's first line of defense. Since the fall of Xill however, the Outpost has fallen to ruin and neglect. The drachnids now use the hallowed out tower to practice their reanimation rituals on the corpses of shiliskin victims.

The Ruins of Xill

Xill was the first shiliskin city to fall to the drachnid invaders. Although the city has remained in ruins ever since, several members of the drachnid lower caste have since scuttled into the rubble to claim the area as their own.

The Coral Bog

Giant coral growths rise from the shallows south of Stone Root Falls. In these shallows, the witheran gather to feed and spawn in the murky waters. During the flood season, the witheran gather in such numbers that the water itself appears to squirm with life.

Dying while Zoning into UNDERSHORE
# Oct 01 2007 at 9:29 PM Rating: Decent
I zoned in from 2 sides (there are two zones into undershore) one takes you under the falls, the other aove the falls. Point being. DOn't move. you'll fall into a bed of water NO 20K falls. IF you move however cause you don't want t have to climb back up a rock to get on some path .. you can speak to the corpse summoners in GH.

DID the undershore. hard part was knoing you had to go up above the water where there are actually dead trees (stone) and walk around there. NO invis seeing mobs there so your safe. basically just run around the place. as you come out the falls see invis mos on the bridge and past the bridge on your left. There will be a small group of fighters and some healers. on the right of the falls is a citadel type area a stronghold of some sort. In the first few bildings on your left (as you pass through the gates) is a raid mob (full fledged General) He cons red and is scowling. keep invis up as the sea creatures like to snap at you. other than that your fine on invis. Oh wait the left side of the zone has other suckheads and an elaborate walkway system. Mainly the zone is segregated to keep see invis mobs on left of zone Non-seeing invis on right. GO by that format you'll survive. GOOD LUCK!

To catch the Deeping Way location you have to be pretty close to the bottom. I came in floating via the falls, and approached the spot from above. The coordinates given are fine as to the x and y, but your vertical has to be as low as about 70 to fulfill the task stage.

You need to either zone through the tunnel next to the falls you are jumping off or have levitate of some sort when you jump off the falls.
