Norrath's Keepers: Spider's Eye

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Gordish Frozenheart (click for map image) in the Norrath's Keepers camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum Level 63 - Minimum "indifferent" faction with Norrath's Keepers Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Spider's Eye'. Stories say that when the most ancient spider queens die their bodies turn to dust because of their age. That dust blows away, leaving two stones behind. Some tales say that the brain and heart become the stones; others say that it is the soul and the mind. They say that these stones have incredible magical powers when placed together to form what is called the Spider's Eye. Some say that the combined stone will grant eternal life to one that ingests it if they survive the pain of it. Others say that it turns the imbiber into a powerful half spider creature. One tale describes the planted stone growing into a magical tree; another says it's a nest of spiders that serve their new master. If even one of these stories is true, this Spider's Eye is a powerful item that might mean our salvation. This is important to us, please see if you can find the two stones and return them to us undamaged and separated. Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. Touch the portal to the Nest 0/1 (The Broodlands) The entrance is the dragon portal in the southeastern quadrant of the Broodlands. Loot 1 Large Spider Stone 0/1 (The Accursed Nest) Loot 1 Small Spider Stone 0/1 (The Accursed Nest) Head into the south wing of the Nest (fire area) and kill mobs there until you've looted the above items. They appear to be random drops with a pre-requisite number of kills before they have a chance to drop. Deliver 1 Large Spider Stone to Gordish Frozenheart 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains) Deliver 1 Small Spider Stone to Gordish Frozenheart 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains) Rewards: Up to 54 Radiant Crystals (number varies according to group's level) 1x "Norrath's Keepers Token" (faction turn-in item) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

It's definetly a kill mission. Just kill everything in the south tunnels till the eye's drop

Just ran this mission , ranger looted the large stone, got update , then later we had a mob drop both large and small stones , updated again , tl out and run for turn in ...large stone had dissapeared from the rangers inventory .. perhaps make sure that you have room in bags and it dont land on cursor and drop/destroy accidently.

I have done this mission twice and it looks like there are a certain number of mobs that you need to kill before the quest items drop. The mission is basically just kill everything until you get the two drops and then head to LS to due turn in. There is an exit at the back of the tunnel.

We headed through the south wing, killing everything in our path. In the clearing with all the corrupted mobs, a Corrupted Guardian dropped the large spider stone, and then a Corrupted Drake dropped the small spider stone 2 mobs later.
I'm of the belief that this is a kill mission, with the stones only dropping after a certain amount of mobs have died.
Not a bad quest, 54 crystals was our reward.

So this was the first Nest mission I ever did. I figured it'd be fun. Hoo boy was I wrong. We ran around for 2 hours killing every spider in sight, nothing dropped.
We then spent the next 3 killing absolutely everything in the zone, since we had no clue what to do.
The spider stones ended up dropping off a goblin in the middle of the zone, in a little side room with no particular named or indication of why he would even have it...
