To clarify things for you after the first turn-ins from crushbone and unrest. you re-hail him and say or click symbol then work. A dialog box will pop up for multiple tasks depending on which type of symbol you want to make. From there check your quest log it will guide you further. Hope this helps.

All of the recipes for DoN cultural armor changed. We don't have all the new recipes entered by any means.

where is the guy ya need for tinkering , a npc is supposed to give ya 3 books on tinkering , whick u can mem for AAs . first book cost ya 3 AAs , sec is 6 AAs, and 3rd book cost ya 9 AAs is that the same guy cogsworthy all he gives is the same quest that i got for my taikoring anyone help me out with this plz

For the New quest for Tinkering Mastery search for the NPC listed for Tinkering Supplies and hail him. He will have you tinker up a Stalking Probe (trivial 102), return that to him and he gives you all 3 books to scribe for Tinkering Mastery 1, 2, and 3.

Ok this is getting really frustrating. I can get the kills for the drakes in Tirrums and Lavaspinners. The fractured drake claws supposedly only count from the missions, but they dont count from nest or creator missions. WHERE do they actually count from??

I've found that the Fractured Drake claws drop from the Missions mostly. Like The Drake menance or Grounding of the Drakes. I have a count of 15 so far from them.

I did the Journeyman's Book of Gnomish Culture quest at level 53. I also had the Mercury Recovery task in my task list. After the last turn in for the Journeyman's Book, I did not receive the book. I think SoE may have made it so that if you're too high level you don't get the low level one.

Vidi Cogsworthy would not give me the task 'Scales of Skyfire' at 53rd level.

You need to be at least lvl 55 to get the Master quests. The general info says 60, but soe changed the lvl req's to be able to get the quest:

There are two forges right next to each other. The one closest to the bridge going to the bank/zoo/brewing merchants is the cultural forge.

I got really angry when all my combines were DNC, in the wrong forge that looked exactly like the right forge :)
If you tried in both and it still didn't work then there's a problem with the items you are using.

Where in Ak'Anon is the dang cultural forge? I've tried the combines in the 2 forges surounding the "Forge of Defiance" and it didn't work. Where is the damn thing? I've looked over all of Ak'Anon so I missed it somewhere?

I skipped that level partially for that reason, and am now working on the GM as it's good for DoN faction too, ie I may be able to talk people into grouping there. :)
I still wear the expert's gear, too bad nobody wants to buy it and the combines are not vendorable. Looks like they don't want you to use it as a skillup path either.

It seems they don't want us going into VP if we want to do the armor... Make sure youve done your vp quests before going after master quests

I'm killing delve drakes in lavaspinner and have killing about 40 of the 120 needed but i can't find any of the fractured drak claws. I've found some fractured drak claws in thundercrest during one of the missions there recovering some plant but the claws didn't count as the claws for the quest.I'm just wondering if anyone has seen the claws needed to complete the gm part of the quest. And as a side note during my killings i never saw any elder drakes with my eye of tallon anyone got info on them?
The items you have to loot may only count if looted form the mobs you are tasked to kill, or so it seems. I as able to loot about 30 Drop of Mercury, but only the ones looted from the Elemental Warriors counted in the firts part of my symbol task.
Here's a question for you, can you have a friend charm one of these mobs, hand it X items you have to loot, break charm, and then let you kill it? Do the items show up on the mob then? Do they count? And is that ok game play or something of an exploit?
After hours of camping the yard trash in The Hole don't think I wasn't considering it... I got maybe 28% of lvl 56 on those things alone... I'd really like to see the drops rates increased.

Yes, if you charm a mob and hand it the items you can recover them from it's corpse.
Yes, the items recovered by this count towards your total.
Maybe, it might be considered an exploit...... but considering the low drop rate of drops of mercury and the fact my main is a follower of Brell I was going to pull any stunt I could to avoid killing any more of Brell's Minions than I absolutely had to.

Once you kill the 50 ele Wars and loot 10 Drop of Mercury then you have to hand 4 em back to NPC. Then you have to go back, kill 5 Elemental Monstrosities and loot (thank god) just 1 Drop of Mercury from one of the dead Elemental Monstrosities. Then you hand 1 Drop of Mercury back to Vidi for your Expert's Book.

I've been cleaning the mobs in the hallway entrance to the Hole for days now. Killing 50 Elemental Warriors is no problem, but getting them to drop the Drop of Mercury is a bummer. When I hit 50 kills I only had 2 Drop of Mercury drop. The loot tables are pretty random, and I've gotten a full set of Loam Encrusted armor already, but only 7 Drop of Mercury. Other mobs in here like the Crusaders and the Monstrosities also drop the Drop of Mercury, but it doesn't count towards your task. Also, if group members kill an Ele Warrior it counts, but if they loot a Drop of Mercury it doesn't. Hopefully I'll finish tonight and have something neat to post :)

Well, if you have a chanter in the group, charm the Elemental Warriors, give them the drop of mercury, kill it and loot it, thats the way I did a couple of em. The drop rate on The Rathe seemed to be pretty good for me personally.
