Information needed: Task details Kelethin Half Elves | Qeynos Half Elves ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find Nala Goldenthorn in the second house on the left of the newbie lift -105, -205. Quest Items to get your Ancestral Book: Details? Completing this task yields you the Ancestral Book. Task given to get your Journeyman's Book Details? Completing this task yields you the Journeyman's Book. Task given to get your Expert's Book Details? Completing this task yields you the Expert's Book. Task given to get your Master's Book Details? Completing this task yields you the Master's Book. Task given to get your Grandmaster's Book Details? Completing this task yields you the Grandmaster's Book. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find Vor Westrider in North Qeynos near the Priest of Discord. You say, 'Hail, Vor Westrider' Vor Westrider says, 'And hail to you as well, traveler. What news? It's nice to hear from someone of mixed heritage like myself. I often fear our kind will never be fully understood by either elves or human. Though we pass through their lands, we are always a little [uncomfortable] in either community. At least we half elves understand each other.' You say, 'Uncomfortable?' Vor Westrider says, 'You know what I mean. When traveling through elven communities, we must duck under their doorways and when visiting our human kin, we receive skeptical stares at our pointed ears. Not to mention, it's impossible to find armor from either race that fits properly. Human clothing is baggy in the shoulders and elven armor tends to chafe in the . . . well. . . you know what I mean, [right]?' You say, 'Right' Vor Westrider says 'Tell you what -- I contracted a half elven artisan to make me a pattern book for armor specifically for us. I made a suit and it fits perfectly. If you'd like, I can make you a copy of the pattern [book]. I also have some advanced armor [patterns] you may be interested in.' You say, 'I'll take a book' Vor Westrider says 'Excellent, I can make you a pattern book, but first I'm going to need some materials. Bring me a fire beetle carapace for the cover, a patch of zombie skin for the pages, a golden bandit tooth for the clasp, and a lion tail to grind down and make a salve which will protect and preserve the finished product. I have heard these resources can be found in Western Karana. Once I have these things, I can create the pattern book for ya.' Quest Items to get your Ancestral Book: Fire Beetle Carapace, Zombie Skin, Bandit Tooth, Lion Tail You say, 'And the patterns?' Artisan Vor Westrider says 'These, I cannot give away, but I can share them with you provided you are willing to help make Norrath safe for us wanderers again. I'm currently working with the city of Qeynos to secure trade routes outside the city gates. We need someone to lead some expeditions and reduce the numbers of dangerous creatures out there. As proof of your deeds we do not want actual messy body parts, but instead we would like you to make impressions of certain body parts in impression books. These books will magically take deep impressions or even just surface patterns. Interested? The more difficult the expedition the more powerful the armor pattern, I can provide. I have also heard about a new [underground] place.' A task window pops up offering the following tasks: Blessed Impressions (which variant?) Revered Impressions (which variant?) I'm originally from Freeport but I haven't seen any information on it so I did the Kelethin Expert and Masters. Has anyone found an armor person in Freeport?

The amount of old dragon horns for the Master's teir has been changed to TWO instead of FOUR. Not sure when this was changed, but i got the quest today and it said 2 instead.

You don't have to be from that particulat home city to do the quests
My home city is Qeynos yet I got the grandmaster quest from Kelethin as I did a lot of Creator missions and thus it was easier to do the mission in Thundercrest rather than getting people to do DoNs in lavaspinners

The "cultural" part of this quest involves ONLY the first book.
So if you are looking to work on the tradeskills/armor for only the armor -- it is the only book you will need. The first book is required to make the Cultural Patterns and Molds.
It is the items used in the combines that determine if the item is Journeyman, Expert, Master or GM.
The remaining 4 Books should be the same for everyone -- as they are ONLY needed to make the patterns for the Augs.
Further -- you can make the Augs for any race and any diety.

You kill 40 mermaids in Kedge Keep by the way, not 50. And cauldron hammerheads also count toward the 5 sharks, not just "a cauldron shark."
sorry im missing the point of all this... how dou you make the armour itself? what is required and what kind of skills am i going to need to make it?

Anyone have any suggestions for an easier way to see underwater and find the sharks in Eruds?

What I did was: Stay on the surface of the water and back your viewpoint away to a third person view (mouse scoll out). Then I swam around pounding the F8 key to target anything closeby. That way I didn't even have to see them. As long as you can get them targeted, cast/range them and they'll come to you.
Thanks your suggestion helped. I killed my 20 and collected the pebbles and was happy as a clam that I would not have to swim around Eruds anymore trying to find and kill sharks. Then like an idiot I forgot to unstack the pebbles and had to go back and kill more to find three more pebbles.

Greater Fay Home city can get & make DoN armor. Cultural Forge loc is -63,+116 & the task giver is Artisan Nala Goldenthorn in second room on the left as u stand on the newbie lift Platform with your back to the lift.
