During the Rogue Epic 1.5, you receive two of Shakey's Dilapitated Noggins. The noggin is used for the Guise of Horror scarecrow illusion quest.

If you talk to Reebo Leafsway after obtaining the noggin, he will more or less brush you off:

Reebo Leafsway says 'You took care of our problem, _____, and for that you have my eternal thanks. With the new head you supplied, we should be able to squeeze a few more years out of Shakey. Not sure what you'd want to do with the old one. That dilapidated pumpkin is worthless. Moldy, dried out . . . doesnt hold a light.' He shrugs empahtically. " Go ahead and hold onto the thing if that tickles your fancy, though. may Karana watch over you in your travels!"

The Millers in West Karana, on the other hand, have a few interesting things to say. Henina Miller may be found at -2700, -5600.

You say, 'What scarecrows?'

Henina Miller says 'Yep, those scarecrows are snarky. I've told Cleet more than a few times that I'd like to cook their heads into a pie, but he won't let me get near them. Oh, there was a recipe book that the Hutchison's gave us as a gift that described how to bake five different wisp lightstones into a scarecrow head to make it glow. Ah well.'

So, in order to "bake" your Guise of Horror, you must kill five flighty wisps found throughout Norrath. Each of them is spawned once you enter their respective zones with Shakey's Noggin in your inventory.

They are trackable, move a little bit faster than bard speed, and remain up for about 10 minutes. They hit in the 1200s and are killable with a competent melee/healer combination.

When you enter a zone with the noggin on your character, you will be greeted with a message:

Out of the corner of your eye, you catch a glimpse of a brightly colored wisp as it darts by. It's moving at an incredible speed.

Seek out the wisp and kill it.

Flighty Rose Wisp in Befallen
Found: First room on your right upon zoning in.
Drops: Pulsing Rose Lightstone

Flighty Azure Wisp in North Karana
Drops: Radiant Azure Lightstone

Flighty Orange Wisp in Stonebrunt Mountains
Drops: Shimmering Orange Lightstone

Flighty Violet Wisp in the Swamp of No Hope
Drops: Glimmering Violet Lightstone

Flighty Viridian Wisp in the Plane of Growth
Drops: Reflective Viridian Lightstone

Find a baking oven. Combine the five lightstones and noggin inside. This will result in a Guise of Horror, your scarecrow illusion mask.

See my post under Shakey's Dilapidated Noggin. I copy/pasted the section of the Rogue 1.5 quest that rewards the noggin.

Confirming these wisps do indeed appear on track, and the ones in the four outdoor zones do indeed spawn precisely at LOC (0, 0). Unsure on the location of the Befallen wisp, but as the zone is tiny it doesn't matter much its not going far.
Bards

Bards can infact do this quest. These mobs now ARE 100% trackable, and I will post my findings of each one on the individual mob.
Can any class do this quest

They are in fact trackable, I just did this quest with a Rogue and I was able to track them as a Bard.

Just an FYI the combine can also be done in a spit. I just happened to be carrying mine with me. Good luck to all those doing the quest!

Mobs For Sure Spawn at 0,0 in the outside zones and are Definatly trackable and are definatly very easy to duo with rogue shammy combo. partially slow. best strat i found is wait outside zone for everyone that is going to fight the mob to go to center of zone (0,0) and zone in when everyone is there mob will be dead by time you get to 0,0. mobs despawn after 10 minutes or so though. tracking would be hard.

Minimum wait between spawns of the wisp in a zone is about two hours.

I think it spawns at 0,0 in the 4 outdoor zones, but we noticed in Stonebrunt it started out under the world, it wasn't visible until after it moved northwest from there. In Befallen I found it on the bottom floor (down the well) in the south. They are trackable. It paths at SoW/SoE speed, but moves at top bard speed with aggro.

Partially slowable, not too resisty, does not enrage, cannot be rooted/snared.

It only spawns when a bard or rogue has a noggin and zones in, other classes holding a noggin won't spawn it.
wisp info i have
# Jun 26 2006 at 10:40 PM Rating: Decent
they are all trackable as a bard for sure once slowed they are easy to tank.they have about 50kish hp. Also they seem to run around they outsides of the zone mostly the swamp of no hope wisp goes clock wise found it south of cab near the trail. The stone brunt one also moves clockwise they all spawn in the middle of the zone then they head north then move clock/counter clockwise. if you need any info send a tell to saar on maelin
Order
# Nov 07 2005 at 9:06 PM Rating: Default
Is there an order yo do them in? coz i got nk first, then sonh, no pop in stonebrunt, then no pop in pog, but pop in befallen repeating stonbrunt on/.... any idea
Untrackable?
# Oct 02 2005 at 5:29 AM Rating: Decent
Heh, i guess this is going to be a new feature most mobs get in this game, especially in any future expansions. Guess being able to aggro through walls/floors, having infinite mana, and not being able to be snared/rooted/feared/stunned wasn't enough to make some mobs insanely overpowered, now they have to be untrackable too. I can only imagine what new 'balances' will be added to the game if its still around in 4 or 5 years ...

Once engaged in combat with this mob, all healers will lose the ability to heal, and all pets will immediately die.
Good way to catch wisp
# Aug 25 2005 at 9:27 AM Rating: Decent
I found a really good way to catch the wisp every time without fail, no running bard speed nothing like that. Ok Step 1, form a raid of 72 people. Line them up across the zone, and get them to walk across really slow. It might take a few goes, coz i doubt they could walk across the zone in five minutes, but im trying to put myself into the zone of the people who made this quest! Get ya 72 peeps, walk them across the zone, and get them to drop bread crumbs to try and get the wisp to come in for some food, i think rice patties might be good F U SONY

Zoned into NK yesterday on my way to check out revamped paw and got the message. I had forgotten that my buddy gave me the noggin a while ago. I went running around, and actually saw the Flighty Azure Wisp on track. Granted, I was already pretty close to it, almost within sight actually, but it DID show up on track. I didn't take down the /loc, but it was at the very northern edge of the zone, centered east-west, just standing there. After about 30 seconds of me looking at it, it took off south towards the gypsey camp. I followed it for a minute, then it poofed.

Solo
# Jan 21 2005 at 1:30 AM Rating: Decent
All are soloable other then the befallen one. You can solo them by kiting them over hilly areas with selos and fleet of foot 2 and keep ahead of them. biggest worry is turning when u hit a zone wall etc which u can either da or use fading memories and ur dot should reaggro him before he regens any with u having turned etc.

Full instrument AA, rathe drums. KK, I soloed the Swamp of No Hope wisp and won with about 50% hp. Nearly died to the N Karana wisp. I had levi for SoNH but not for the NK wisp, perhaps this makes a difference??

Edit: Nope, doesn't seem to make one bit of difference. I believe the NK wisp is faster than the rest. Tried it with levi, had to zone. Just kited down the PoG wisp no problem. Gonna grab a tank and healer for NK wisp.

Any idea on how often they'll pop on zone?? an hour? eight?

If you dont have fleet of foot, you will get eaten. They are at selo (rathe drum) speed plus, and hit hard and fast. They don't have much HP tho, which helps alot.

They outran me with fleet of foot 2 and feran hide drum (35) which is better then rathe (34) even though they both hit hte cap so basicly the same 8-) but that is why i said u must use hills.

Honestly, take a group and someone who can either go defensive or become invulnerable to tank it. When i tried i got mine down to around 60% using fade and DA, but I only have decent hp considering.

Second time i went in with SK, Chanter, Druid, Cleric, Bard and someone else. We ate the mobs up fast, and killed all five in about 3 hours including ports and whatnot.
