Find Averixx Quimeri in the southwestern Qvic caves at location -1676, -236, -411.

You say, 'Hail, Averixx Quimeri'

Averixx Quimeri says 'Greetings, traveler. What do you think about this golem? He is truly a wondrous creation. As far as anyone has been able to determine, he strayed from Inktu`ta, the Unmasked Chapel. He fell into the hands of the Muramites first, and they discovered that he is absolutely indestructible. The Muramites did give it their [best shot], though.'

You say, 'Their best shot?'

Averixx Quimeri chuckles, 'I admit to being quite entertained by the tales of their failures. Proof that despite their knowledge and power they do have weaknesses! It started out with their researchers poking and prodding him, but that didn't last long. Soon they resorted to their favored weapons and magic. The fools used every implement of destruction at their disposal in their attempts dismantle him. They slung their mightiest spells and threw their strongest warriors at him for days. Their testing ground was aglow with blinding flashes of light and sparks from enchanted metal clanging against impervious stone. In the end, when the dust settled, they did a pitiful amount of [damage] to the golem.'

You say, 'What damage?'

Averixx Quimeri says 'The onyx protector survived the ordeal mostly unscathed. However, the Muramites did discover the fragile nature of the jeweled eyes of the golem. Their efforts shattered his poor eyes. Gemmed pieces scattered everywhere. With his sight destroyed, and no way of dismantling the golem, the Muramites deemed him worthless and dumped him as refuse. Shortly after that, we recovered him and brought him here for [study].'

You say, 'Study?'

Averixx Quimeri says 'After studying him thoroughly, I believe he may be of some value to us. If we were able to get him working again he would be a great boon to my people. We would have an indestructible defense against the Muramites and their incursion. However, I'm afraid in his current state without eyes he is powerless. The many fragments have been carried off as prizes or scattered across the temple areas. In order to rebuild the eyes you would need restore them in a jewelers kit, using at least six different shards from each eye. If you could gather the various pieces and repair his eyes for me, that would be a start. I would also need a [method] to control the onyx protector.'

You say, 'Tell me about the method'

Averixx Quimeri says 'No doubt you've noticed that the legion is able to access the Lair of the Elite without the need of a Cipher of Txevu. They have been using some sort of a wand that enables them to control the gatekeeper golem at the entrance, commanding it to let them through unhindered. If you can restore the eyes for me as I asked and bring me a [controller's wand], I will teach you to use one of these wands so that you may pass into Txevu as well without the need to delve into the depths of that cursed lost chapel of Inktu`ta. Keep in mind that you will need an escort into Txevu to obtain a permanent power source for the wand. This may affect your decision.'

You say, 'Tell me about the controller's wand'

Averixx Quimeri says 'I saw Hexxt Ilk Klokk using one to enter Txevu. I would start with him if I were you. Be careful though, the Muramites with the ability to enter Txevu, the Lair of the Elite will not give over their possessions easily.'

You are going to need to do some collecting. You must find six fragments for each eye. Locations:

RIGHT EYE (all ground spawns)

First Fragment: -705, +595, -356 in Yxtta
Second Fragment: -852, +490, -356 also in Yxtta
Third Fragment: +2248, +2257, -476 in Kodtaz (pits in northwestern corner)
Fourth Fragment: -926, +1185, -432 also in Kodtaz (temple due north of Yxtta zone)
Fifth Fragment: -1270 -28 -433 in Qvic (in the caves)
Sixth Fragment: +433, +238 -416 in Qvic (at the lake in northwest corner)

Combine these fragments in a planar or collapsible jewelers kit (no-fail, trivial unknown), which results in Onyx Protector's Right Eye.

LEFT EYE (all dropped)

First Fragment: Confirmed drops: Dvoin M`sha, Ptav M`sha, Mnat M`sha
Second Fragment: Confirmed drops: A Kyv Silentbow, A Kyv Widowmaker, A Noc Savage, Dvoin M`sha, Ptav M`sha
Third Fragment: Confirmed off A Mastruq Bonereader, A Mastruq Steelskin
Fourth Fragment: Confirmed drop: A Noc Savage
Fifth Fragment: Confirmed drops: Mnat M`sha, A Ra`Tuk Scarblade
Sixth Fragment: Confirmed off An Ukun Fleshfeaster, An Ukun Ravager

Combine these fragments in a planar or collapsible jewelers kit (no-fail, trivial unknown), which results in Onyx Protector's Left Eye.

Hexxt Ilk Klokk drops a Wand of Golem Control. Give the wand and two eyes to Averixx Quimeri.

Averixx Quimeri says, "You've done it! We have both the eyes and the wand!. Hmmm... it seems that entering Txevu puts a greater strain on the wands than I had anticipated. This wand would not allow one to bypass the golem guarding Txevu without first being recharged by a power source. However, it should be good enough to coerce our onyx protector into destroying our enemies. Let's give it a test run and you can be the first! Shall we see, _____?"

Averixx Quimeri then attacks along with the golem. You must kill Averixx, whose max damage is around 1356. When Averixx dies, his golem goes back to sleep. Loot the Depleted Wand of Golem Control from his corpse.

A Wand Harness drops off raid encounter mobs in Txevu. Once you have both the Wand Harness and the Depleted Wand of Golem Control, you can click into Txevu by yourself.

Finally pulled all the stuff outta the bank and finished this quest (yes I know the zone is open, but i felt bad destroying the stuff since all i needed was 3rd piece of left eye to finish)...

can confirm after you click in, it does go on your keyring as Txevu Cipher

No Fail Combine
# Jul 11 2006 at 5:19 AM Rating: Decent
The Eye's are definately No Fail combines. Was feeling gutsy after spending 4 hours getting the different pieces for the Right eye, and attempted the combine with a Jewel Crafting skill of O. Succeed NP.
Final Fight
# Jun 29 2006 at 12:13 AM Rating: Decent
Final fight of this Quest, with Averixx Quimeri and the Onyx Protector.

We just did this with Cleric, Paladin, Beastlord, Beastlord, Shaman, Cleric (Bot).

Averixx hits about 1300 max. He is fully slowable, and has very few hitpoints, maybe in the 50-60k range. He does not Flurry. He does not Rampage.

The Onyx Protector hits about 1300 max. He is partially slowable, and quite resistant. However, he does not seem to do more than double-attack, and only does this very rarely. As a Beastlord, fully raid-buffed to 13,500HP and about 2100 AC, most of his hits were less than 100, and only two hits for max. He missed me, ALOT. He does not Flurry. He does not Rampage.

Golem has a near-infinite amount of Hitpoints, and insane regen, so don't expect to kill him, which of course you do not need to anyway.

Beware Averixx can summon the golem to his feet if the get too far apart, but otherwise it does not affect Averixx or the Golem (meaning they don't get stronger or anything)

Does doing this 1 quest also flag you for qvic by default?, as you have to go thru qvic to get to texvu.

The sad thing is that if you do the Qvic alt access and then do Inktuta you get all of Txevu key. So really it's more affective to do Qvic alt access and Inktuta, then doing the Txevu alt access, unless you don't plan do do anything in the rest of GoD anymore.

Ok thanks. Was hoping I could just skip to the next higher alt acces quest for my Shambot. oh well :-(
Armour pieces
# Aug 23 2005 at 8:20 AM Rating: Decent
Answer to my own post: Once you have all 4 armourpieces, my last one was from Yxxta, got evvacced to zoneline, when this happened i had already equipped the four armour pieces, evac went off, and as soon as i was zoned, armour pieces had dissapeard and i did /key and found that i was now Qvic flagged.
Keyring
# Aug 09 2005 at 9:18 PM Rating: Decent
I heard that Qvic access, armour pieces poof and you can just go in whenever u want. Does the wand and wand harness poof too? and go on keyring, or do u have to carry in inventory?
A few questions..
# May 30 2005 at 7:00 AM Rating: Decent
Just a few questions about some of the parts of this quest, any replies with info would be greatly appreciated.

Is any faction needed to do the hand in/get quest? If so, what?
In which area are the eye pieces in Yxxta?

Thanks in advance.

Turned in Left eye, Right eye, and the wand.

Shall we see, Saxan?"

Averixx Quimeri then attacks. His golem wakes up. We killed Averixx. His max damage seems to be around 1356. When Averixx dies, his golem goes back to sleep.

Reward: Depleted Wand of Golem Control is on Averixx's corpse.

I then was able to click the statue and zone into Txevu while inside a raid. Though I was the only one in this zone and my raid was elsewhere.

Interesting, a few hours later while ungrouped, I was unable to zone back in.

Edit:
I got this off the Ancient Cragbeast Matriarch in Txevu (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=15395):
Wand Harness:
http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=52450

This would seem to be the last piece needed for this quest. I will try to combine it in a jewelry kit and post the results.

Hey saxan any luck figureing out if the wand harness is the correct last piece or not?
RE: More info
# Jan 27 2005 at 9:02 AM Rating: Excellent
Yes, quest solved.

If you have both the depleted wand of the golem and this wand harness, you can click the statue and zone into Txevu. When you click it, you get a message in red text says with the wand AND the harness, you are able to command the golem to let you in.

There is nothing to combine.

This is a horrible quest. It is much easier for a guild to do the ikk4, uqua, ink raids to get here, than this alt-flag quest for each unflagged member.

name change
# Jan 02 2005 at 3:02 PM Rating: Decent
Request that you all rename this to easier backflagging quest for the highend guilds :)

seeing how unless you have a friend in a highend guild that can get ya in and get the raid drop, this is not doable in lines with the HOH/COD/tatcis/torment alt access quests. this requires acess to the zone you are trying to gain access to in teh first place by doing this quest

This is Definatly and Alt Backflag Means for guilds that are all ready there...

i actually wasted some time with this quest up untill i noticed the final piece came from a zone that i will be in soon enough with my guild.
RE: name change
# Mar 04 2006 at 2:26 AM Rating: Decent
im thinking the point to backflagging is so that one a guild that is ALREADY in txevu doesnt have to do inktua for one person...rather get them one raid drop and them do some work....makes more sense

Tumlina in Riwwi is the trigger, with warmly faction she gave me this quest,
after talkin with her she will give you her staue and send you to find Dramudi.Harvester Dramudi is in barindu, give him the statue and follow the text,he explains that overseer Oltix has the riftseeker belt and gives you a equippable bane weapon "sharpened stone blade" to plunge into his back. The overseer is in the same zone, killing him gets you his notes.

pixxt nemis is in kt, once the oltix part is done, going near him, he says something like she sent you, but m prepared, and 2 guards spawn, these are fairly weak, after killing them nemis is killable when you kill him (just like a kt trash) his rival Sem'tach will spawn in the kill spot.killing this one gets you Riftseekers right bracelt.

The Riftseekers Binding drops from zoo/cyno in Qvic

thank you Kobes,Cradic,Bodkin,Sinn,Lilliepad for your help on this.

Danaldor,

following is from theman over at eqlive:

Good news.
I have found the second of four pieces required to access Qvic.
Its the Riftbreakers Left Bracer.
I wont give a full spoiler here, but you can PM me and I will send it to you.
However, I have to tell you where to start teh quest, because the NPC that starts the quest, has FACTION ISSUES. He dies allmost as soon as he spawns... but hes on a 20-30mins timer.
You just need to know where to look.
The NPC is located in Yxxta. Inside the Primal Caves. At the entrance to the room where "Stoic Guardian" and "Vrex High Priest" are located. You prolly wont find these NPC, because they have the same faction issues. If you have a map of Yxxta, the location of the Stoic Guardian will be on it.
As if it wasnt bad enough that the NPC that gives the quest dies as soon as he spawns, he doesnt even have a unique name. His name is:
"a malicious trusik"
he is trackable, but he will be killed after 0-5 minutes.
Stoic Guardian and Vrex High Priest are no longer KOS.
Now to the faction issue:
"a malicious trusik" as well as "Stoic Guardian" as well as "Vrex High Priest" as well as "Caridwi" are now being attacked by Xounii Shape**SMURF**er ( in her respective from ). Xounii is a untrackable npc, who takes the form of the various animals in the cave. She is a raid encounter, hits very hard and procs a mezz. Stoic Guardian, Vrex High Priest and a malicious trusik will all attack her together, but only get her to 86%.
Im NOT saying that you have to kill her.
*** Spoiler begins here.
"a malicious trusik" gives you 9(!!!)-slot container bag. Never seen a bag with an uneven number of slots before. He asks you to collect 3 Cragbeast biles, 3 CaveSpider Venoms and 3 thingies from the bugs.
Combine and give result back to "a malicios trusik" ( you will have to wait for him to spawn again ).
He will give you a poison and tells you to take it to "the statue pouring water into the basin" in yxxta.
Go to the city area, clear the center where the statue is. Go close to the Statue and you get a message telling you that you have succesfully poisoned the Muramites water source.
"Pixxt Quyes" spawns and attacks. 1-groupable I believe tho we had many more.
Drops Riftbreakers Left Bracer.
*** Spoiler end.
You get no further clue where to continue your quest for the last 2 pieces. Even tho the "a malicious trusik"
says that by this quest you have to "prove" yourself, he does not say anything new after you complete the quest. He will give you the same quest again, as well as the same container.
Now I did give a spoiler. Sorry, but now others can do this quest and maybe find a way to continue.
Various things:
-Please fix the faction issue !
-Stoic Guardian and Vrex High PRiest and Caridwi give no quest.
-Pixxt Nemis in Kodtaz probably drops/gives another item, but she cannot be attacked and asks you if "she" sent you.
Please post if you find out more.
Lyndro help =(

the third known piece is the riftseekers binding, a raid drop from qvic.
not sure on the 4th piece of armor yet, but suspect its something to do with Pixxt Nemis in kodtaz.

Oltizs highest hit on our warrior was 1500.When i hit him with the blade, it poofed,at the end of the fight he dropped Riftseekers belt, and Oltixs weekly reports
he says she sent you didnt he and spawnse 2 personal guards.Kill these guards then nemis is killable, hits like a standard kodtaz mob.

Once nemis is dead, his arch rival Sem'tach spwans at the point of death, killing him will get you Riftbreakers right bracer, and sem'tachs notes.

Thank you Bodkin,Kobes,Lilliepad,Sinn,Cradic for your helping solving this quest!

The hints in the book led me kodtaz pixxt nemis is untargetable and indifferent, upon coming close
