Rewards are class-specific armor pieces. Druids receive Greenvale armor, monks receive Stillmind armor, and beastlords receive Beast Tamer armor.

You say, 'Hail, Barowsar'

Barowsar says 'Greetings, ______. I have heard your name spoken among the few dragorn that find their way here to visit Master [Lenarsk]. They say you are an enemy of the Muramites? If so, then let me greet you properly.' The dragorn bows deeply. 'Apprentice Tanner Barowsar at your service.'

You say, 'Who is Lenarsk?'

Barowsar says 'Though I call him master, Lenarsk has been more like a father to me. My true father, Noble Jelvan the Eldest, I have not seen since the Muramites captured the High Council of Eight. I was but a young hatchling then, and Lenarsk, my father's tanner, hid me within a tapestry and took me to safety into the wilderness. Now that I am old enough, he has taken me as an apprentice, teaching me to cut and shape leather into armor. If you would be interested, I have leatherwork for your [hands], [wrists], [arms], [head], [chest], [legs], or [feet]. You may find it useful in your battles against the Muramites. It is yours provided, of course, you can perform a favor in return.'

Hands

You say, 'Hands?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, Harbinger's Spire was once a dragorn lookout tower which Mata Muram has since claimed and bent to his own purposes. He uses the spire as a beacon to receive news on his domain. Some of his captains possess infused crystal shards which can be used to send up beacons from Harbinger's Spire. Return to me with one of these spire control shards as well as two glistening murkglider pelts to hide it in. I have heard rumors of a small force of dragorn in Dranik's Scar that still stand against Mata Muram. If we can disrupt the Muramite communication network, we may buy these rebels time to plan their next attack. It's a small thing, but until I am old enough to fight, it's the best I can do to help them. In return for your help I will reward you with a masterwork set of leather gloves.'

Spire Control Shards drop from various named in The Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Glistening Murkglider Pelts drop in the Wall of Slaughter from yard trash.

Wrists

You say, 'Wrists?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, my kin believe that all the dragorn were created by the death of a single dragon, Dranik -- the great father. The first dragorn to walk Kuua created many things in his honor. Among these creations was a fearsome battle standard painted with a drop of blood from each of Dranik's firstborn sons. The last dragorn armies to carry the banner fell to the Muramites. No one can say where the Blood Standard of Dranik has gone, but the recovery of such an artifact would leave me in your debt. If you return with this banner as well as with two Dansk branches, I can remake a haft for this standard to fly again. In return, I can offer a finely crafted leather wristguard as your reward.'

Dranik Blood Standard drops from named in the Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Dansk Branches drop a kyv heartstriker in Nobles' Causeway.

Barowsar says 'The Blood Standard of Dranik! I did not believe it still existed! This will bring hope to the few dragorn who still resist Mata Muram. I only wish I was ready to join them. Thank you. As promised, here is a leather wristguard as a reward.'
You gain experience!!

Arms

You say, 'Arms?'

Barowsar says 'I have little memory of Kuua before the Muramites came. I was but a hatching when they began to pour into our lands. I have heard stories though, stories of green mountains and fields of Dansk blossoms. If only I could see it all now. If you can find a map of Old Kuua, one drawn before the coming of Discord, I would like to study it to remind myself that this land was not always twisted by Discord. Bring me one of these maps along with two Dansk blossoms so that I may imagine the world of my elders. Do this and I can reward you with an ornate pair of leather armguards from Master Lenarsk's collection.'

Map of Old Kuua drops from named in the Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Dansk Blossoms drop from ikaav yard trash in Nobles' Causeway and The Ruined City of Dranik.

Head

You say, 'Head?'

Barowsar says 'I was too young to remember fully, but when Discord first impinged upon our world, treachery and paranoia crept into the lives of my kin. Only one dragorn, Noble Yemall the Arcane, kept his wits long enough to realize what was happening. Yemall toiled tirelessly to counter the effects of Discord. Although his efforts were in vain, it is said that he was able to author a treatise before the Muramites seized him. This treatise, entitled The Duskfall Chronicles, contains his reflections on the nature of Discord. No one knows what has happened to this text, but if you are able to recover it, I can study its teachings and perhaps begin to understand why so many of my kin turned on one another. Bring me this treatise along with two Muramite ritual scrolls to help me understand the nature of Discord. Do this and I can reward you with a leather helm from Master Lenarsk's collection.'

Duskfall Chronicles drops rarely in Nobles' Causeway and the Wall of Slaughter.

Chest

You say, 'Chest?'

Barowsar says 'One of my greatest regrets stems from the fact that I only have vague memories of my father, Jelvan the Eldest. I have not seen him since the Muramites came and then I was only a hatchling. It is said that he carried a scepter granted by Dranik himself. This scepter will glow as long as its owner is alive. If you can recover his scepter along with three tattered chimera pelts to conceal it in, I will be able confirm if he is still alive. I can reward you with an ornate leather chest plate that I made under the tutelage of Master Lenarsk.'

Tattered Chimera Pelt drop off chimera in the Wall of Slaughter. The sceptre requested is Dragorn Elder Scepter and drops off Tiorpat Tornwing in The Ruined City of Dranik or Velitorkin in Wall of Slaughter.

Legs

You say, 'Legs?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, Kuua was not the first world touched by Discord. I have heard many stories of past conquest told by the Muramites. They say that the last ember of a Discord-ravaged city will burn for many years, long after the ruins of the city itself have been covered over by time. Some say it's the city's spirit, slowly dying. Others claim it to be a side effect of the Discord's lingering magic. Regardless, these embers are highly valued by the legions of Discord, for Mata Muram rewards them to his fiercest captains as war trophies. If you can bring me one of these embers along with three dragorn-crafted metal bowls to contain it, I can keep this precious item away from the Muramites. I do not think the last remnants of a destroyed world should be flaunted with such irreverence. Secure these from the Muramites and my leather leggings shall be yours.'

Dragorn City Ember drops from Pyrique Redwing in the Wall of Slaughter. Dragorn Metal Bowls drop from dragorns and girplans in the Wall of Slaughter.

Feet

You say, 'Feet?'

Barowsar says 'When Discord first descended upon Kuua, many of my own kin turned traitor. There is talk of a traitors' stone which is etched with the names of all dragorn who conspired with the Muramites in those dire days. The Muramite captains carried these stones and used them to determine which dragorn to slay outright and which to spare with a life of slavery. If you can bring me one of these Kuuan traitor stones, now found on some of my twisted brethen, along with two Muramite Dragorn slaver whips, I can bury these items for good. If the dragorn are going to make a united stand against the Muramites, we need to forget about the treacheries of the past and stand together as one united force. Burying this stone will bring us together as a people. Bring me these items and I can reward you with a finely crafted pair of leather boots. Good luck!'

Kuuan Traitor Stones drop from various named in Nobles' Causeway, the Ruined City of Dranik, and the Wall of Slaughter. Muramite Dragorn Slaver Whips drop from dragorns in Nobles' Causeway, the Ruined City of Dranik, and Wall of Slaughter. On hand-in:

Barowsar says 'Well done ______. I understand the Muramites guard these well. I'll bury this stone so the dragorn of Kuua can move on from the horrors of the past and instead look to the future. As promised, here is a pair of finely crafted leather boots as your reward.'

Looks like Lenarsk actually gives out a higher grade armor quest requiring a little more difficult to obtain items. Looks like ou may need a higher faction requirement also. I am max ally but did not know about this quest till today.

[Wed Oct 20 05:59:32 2004] Lenarsk says 'Hail to you stranger. Though I must be careful, I now know that you are sympathetic to our plight. I, Lenarsk, was a most-favored tailor to the nobles and famous hunters. They would come from far away seeking my shop, clamoring for my wares. But alas, the Muramites changed all of this when they infected our lands. Fate can be harsh at times. And yet here you are. Perhaps our mutual goals will encourage us to walk the same [path] together.'
[Wed Oct 20 05:59:43 2004] You say, 'path'
[Wed Oct 20 05:59:43 2004] Lenarsk says 'By now it is apparent that I hold no favor toward those Muramites and I also know that you don't look upon them kindly either. Therefore, I have a proposition for you. I know that you alone will not be enough to rid our lands of these invaders, but any sorrow you can cause them will bring me unending joy. Help me in my cause to wound the Muramites and I will repay your courageous deeds with some of my unfulfilled [orders].'
[Wed Oct 20 05:59:50 2004] You say, 'orders'
[Wed Oct 20 05:59:50 2004] Lenarsk says 'Why, as I said, customers from many lands would seek me out to create handsome one-of-a-kind pieces. I'm sure I still have a few of these left waiting for owners that will never arrive. Yes, I believe I have something for your [head], [arms], [wrists], [hands], [chest], [legs], and [feet]. I will give these to you if you help me.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:00:00 2004] You say, 'head'
[Wed Oct 20 06:00:00 2004] Lenarsk says 'I have a wonderfully woven cap that was meant for the son of a noble. Alas, both father and son fell victim to the wicked Muramites and were forcibly marched through the causeway to their deaths. In exchange for the cap, I seek the walking stick of a certain dragorn elder that also perished during the march. I have heard rumors that the stick was enchanted such that were it to be lost it would find its way back to its owner. You must bring back Patorav's walking stick to me. Also, the Muramite guards that gleefully killed our leaders were given awards. Find me two Muramite Noble's March awards as well.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:00:23 2004] You say, 'arms'
[Wed Oct 20 06:00:23 2004] Lenarsk says 'When the Muramites invaded, some took over my shop and either stole or destroyed everything. Why, I even lost a beautiful leather pouch I had been creating for one in my family. I can't stand the thought of that Muramite with a gift meant for a loved one. Please return this pouch to me so I know that my hard work did not benefit one as evil as a Muramite. I also ask of you to bring me back two spiked discordling collars so I know that at least some of those that destroyed my shop have been dealt with.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:00:44 2004] You say, 'wrist'
[Wed Oct 20 06:00:45 2004] Lenarsk says 'Very little is known to us about the riftseekers. We do know they do wield powerful magic that can create portals that have appeared in our lands. I believe they are wholly creatures of magic. I have heard whispers that the heart of these beings is not the heart of a mundane beast. No, in fact, I have heard that their heart is pure magic. Bring me one of these hearts so I may find out if any of the magic within it may be used to enchant the pieces of leather raiment I create. In addition I am running low on quality feran hides so I will need you to bring me back a couple of those as well.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:01:04 2004] You say, 'hands'
[Wed Oct 20 06:01:05 2004] Lenarsk says 'I have a pair of gloves that has the suppleness of leather, but the strength of iron! I am willing to part with these if you retrieve an artifact. Find the axe that was once wielded by Makyah the Fierce. Never did a more magnificent warrior stride the field of battle and when he was lost, so was a large portion of my people's hopes. Return the axe to me so that once my people see that it was found, we may find the hope and courage necessary to defeat our foes. You will also need to bring me two fine chimera hides so I may craft a sheath worthy of an axe wielded by a legend.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:01:45 2004] You say, 'chest'
[Wed Oct 20 06:01:46 2004] Lenarsk says 'As celebrated as I am as a master crafter, my mentor was so much more. One of the last pieces he created before passing away was a vest for Jayruk the Hunter. Many times did Jayruk narrowly cheat death, not by the strength of spear or swiftness of bow, but by the sharpness of his mind. There was a time when a trap they laid for a pack of feral bazu failed to contain them. Enraged, the bazu began a charge toward some homes and would have surely decimated all in their path were it not for Jayruk's [quick thinking].'
[Wed Oct 20 06:02:10 2004] You say, 'quick thinking'
[Wed Oct 20 06:02:10 2004] Lenarsk says 'He quickly managed to anger the lead bazu and trick the pack into following him. Blinded by rage, the pack charged after Jayruk as he led through them a narrow ravine. Hidden by brush was a long drop which Jayruk managed to avoid by deftly jumping to one side and clinging onto the cliff face as the bazu fell one by one to their demise. A few days later though, Jayruk disappeared without a trace. Find and return this vest so that I may study the technique that created it. In addition, to honor the memory of Jayruk, bring me three bracelets made out of bazu nails.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:02:39 2004] You say, 'legs'
[Wed Oct 20 06:02:39 2004] Lenarsk says 'After our forces fell and the Muramites swept through our lands, they pillaged everything in sight. They stormed into my home and shop, stealing what they could and destroying everything else. One particularly nasty Muramite took great pleasure in the destruction of my home. I want you to seek it out and exact revenge. You will recognize him by an amulet he proudly wears. Return to me with this as proof that you have accomplished the task I have lain out for you. Three of the henchmen with this Muramite leader were disgusting discordlings that tormented me needlessly. See to it that this trio pays for their twisted deeds by also bringing me three discordling hooves.'

[Wed Oct 20 06:02:54 2004] You say, 'feet'
[Wed Oct 20 06:02:54 2004] Lenarsk says 'I had a customer who was a famous hunter in his day. Though not the most celebrated hunter I've served, Vrago was still widely recognized as a hero for tirelessly protecting our people from the wild beasts that roam our lands. He and his cadre once saved my life as I was returning from a trip. As repayment for saving my life, I was creating some boots for him. Before I could fulfill my debt to him, the Muramites captured him and tortured him in their twisted Proving Grounds. I have been told by witnesses to this horror that the one that carried out his execution was awarded a cruelty medal for capturing him. Find the bearer of this medal and repay my debt to Vrago by dispatching him. Return the medal to me and I will give you the boots I had intended for him. To complete the boots though, I will also need two chimera gut strings.'

My name is Dhegorn and I am a 68 Enchanter on the 7th Hammer server. Having found the Spire Control Shard, Dranik Blood Standard, Kuuan Traitor Stones, and Duskfall Chronicles, I decided to set out to find the Silk version of quest. After a tireless few days of searching, see invis mob beatings, and mob conning... I have found him.

In the Wall of Slaughter.. to the far West of the zone.
Your Location is -1036.90, 841.32, 79.18

You say, 'Hail, Korshawn'

The old dragorn studies you for a moment before he begins speaking in a low gravely voice, 'So, Dhegorn, is it true what my kin whisper? That you have come to fight the Muramites? Hmm, you're ten years too late. Half of Kuua's warriors who would have fought by your side are now nothing more then [bones].' The other half have already sworn allegiance to Mata Muram. I'm not so sure which half is better off.?'

You say, 'what bones?'

Korshawn says 'Many dragorn have fallen to the armies of the Muramites. As a chaplain of Dranik's forces, it was my responsibility to guide the passing of the dying warriors and bury their bodies so that they will be honored even in death. I buried each member of my unit, one by one, until only I remained. Consumed with despair, I abandoned the war effort to seek a life of solitude and anonymity.' The dragorn gazes off into the distance before continuing, 'Your arrival has been the first hope many of us have had in a long time. I wish I could join you as you make your stand against the Muramites, but I've long ago hung up my battle [heirlooms], swearing never to fight again.'

You say, 'what heirlooms?'

Korshawn says ''I still have my battle dressings. They are part of an ancient set handed down from Dranik's chaplains before me. Perhaps you'd be interested in cloth armor for your [hands], [wrists], [arms], [head], [chest], [legs], or [feet]? The pieces are light and supple and served me well in the field. I can give you one piece for each service you perform in the interest of the children of Dranik.' '

You say, 'what hands?'

Korshawn says 'Harbinger's Spire was once a dragorn lookout tower which the Muramites have since bent to their own purposes. I studied there as a young chaplain, and I shudder to look upon what has those discordlings have done to it in these past years. Mata Muram uses the spire as a beacon to receive the tidings of his domain. Some of his captains possess crystal shards which can be used to control the beacon rising from Harbinger's Spire. If you are able to steal one of these crystals, it would mean a break in the Muramite chain of communication. Return with one of these spire control shards as well as two discordling finger bones. If enough shards are taken from the Muramites, they will be forced to abandon the tower.'

You say, 'what wrists?'

Korshawn says 'We were created by a single great dragon, the great father known as Dranik. The first dragorn created many things in his honor. Among these creations was a fearsome battle standard painted with a drop of blood from each of Dranik's firstborn sons. This banner was carried by my kin through many battles and it has seen us through much strife. The last dragorn armies to carry the banner fell to the Muramites over a decade ago. No one can say where the Blood Standard of Dranik's Sons has gone, but the recovery of such an artifact will leave me in your debt. Return with this banner along with two hooked chimera claws to use as nails. I will ensure that the standard hangs over the mass graves of those who died fighting the Muramites. It's the least I can do to honor their deaths.'

You say, 'what arms?'

Korshawn says 'I respect your willingness to help, but this will not be an easy task. As you may know, the armies of Mata Muram are but one aspect of Discord's deep shadow. The Darkening ravaged not only the denizens of Kuua, but also the landscape as well. Many of our old landmarks no longer stand, and the sky -- once blue and vast -- now seethes with ash and storms. If you can find a map of Old Kuua, one drawn before the coming of Discord, it may help me to infer the location of the ancient barrows of my kin. I need to find them before the Muramites manage to pillage the graves of my ancestors. Return with one of the old maps as well as two jagged noc tusks so I can hollow them out and create a safe place to keep the map. Do this for me and I can reward your efforts with my cloth arm wraps.'

You say, 'what head?'

Korshawn says 'When Discord first impinged upon our world, sentiments of treachery and paranoia crept into our lives. Dragorn turned on dragorn and soon longstanding friendships ended in bitter squabbling. One dragorn, Noble Yemall the Arcane, kept his wits long enough to realize what was happening. Before the Muramites came, Yemall toiled tirelessly to counter the effects of Discord. Although his efforts were ultimately in vain, it is said that he was able to author a treatise before the Muramites seized him. This treatise, entitled The Duskfall Chronicles, contains his reflections on the nature of Discord. No one knows what has happened to this text, but if you are able to recover it, I may be able to understand why so many dragorn met their end. Bring me this treatise along with two rugged murkglider skins to make a book cover. I will reward you with my former battle hood.'

You say, 'what chest?

Korshawn says 'Before the Muramites came, the High Council of Eight ruled over Dranik. The eight nobles, lead by Jelvan the Eldest, each carried scepters that were said to be carved from the bones of the first dragorn sons and etched in ancient runes. It is said that these scepters will glow as long as their owner is alive. I have not seen the council since the Muramites overran our city, but I have heard that their scepters were handed out by Mata Muram as war trophies. If you can recover one of these scepters along with three Kuuan oil candles so I can study the runes, I will reward you with my former battle tunic!'

You say, 'what legs?'

Korshawn says ''As you may know, Kuua was not the first world touched by Discord. There have been many others, for I have heard the Muramites tell stories of past conquests. One of the stories they tell is that the last ember of a Discord-ravaged city will burn for many years long after the ruins of the city itself have been buried by time. Some say it's the city's spirit slowly dying. Others claim it to be a side effect of the Discord's lingering magic. Regardless, these embers are highly valued by the legions of Discord, for Mata Muram rewards them to his fiercest captains as war trophies. If you can bring me one of these embers along with three Dragorn Muramite insignia necklaces, I can reward you with my former battle leggings. I have no need of them any longer, and I can use that ember to light the pyres of my kin who have fallen to the Muramites. It would be an honorable tribute to both my kin and the unknown city that have both fallen to Discord.'

You say, 'what feet?'

Korshawn says ''When Discord first descended upon Kuua, many of my own kin turned traitor. There is talk of a traitors' stone, etched with the names of all dragorn who conspired with the enemy in those dire days. The Muramite captains carried these stones and used them to determine which dragorn to slay outright and which to spare with a life of slavery. If you can bring me one of these Kuuan traitor stones, along with two ikaav braids so I can hang the stones for all to see, it may enrage the remaining dragorn who are unhappy with Mata Muram's rule. In time they may gather the spirit of will to once again rise up against the Muramites. Your reward shall be the cloth slippers I wore back when I, too, fought against the enemies of Dranik.'

Just finished did 2 of the Hand ins.

I gave Korshawn the Dranik Blood Standard and 2 Hooked Chimera Claws.

Korshawn says ''You've recovered the banner! And to think I thought it lost for good! I'll be sure this flies over the graves of my fallen kin. May its glory rekindle the spirits of the dragorn still under the Muramite whip! As promised, my cloth wrist band shall be your reward!' '

and that silk armor that was posted above, looks like the next step up above this one.
looks like you need warmly to do the tier 1 quests and ally to do the tier2.
Only for Leather Classes
# Oct 16 2004 at 8:38 PM Rating: Decent
I am a 68 high elf wizard, just got Ally with this guy and the rest of the OoW quest guys. He did not offer me the quest, which makes me believe there must be a quest guy for Plate/Silk/Chain wearers also. I received text along the lines of "Hello Ruphus, I've heard about your efforts to aid my kind against the muramites, etc etc, but there is nothing I can do to further help you or teach you." He said the same thing at Warmly....

So only need warmly for quest, and either I need some kinda flag (which I highly doubt considering all the drops come from zones that don't require flags) or most likely, he only offers the quests to Leather Armor based classes (Lenarsk doesn't respond at ally either)

If anyone finds out who the caster/plate/chain people are, let us know!

Plate pieces

Bazu Hides make chain armors with smithing skill, not plate. Plate is player made via magnetic pieces of armor.

Guess we have to find another NPC who gives out the plate version of this quest.

Thanks in advance.

Have any plate classes done trade ins for these items? If so can you post some stats etc please =) Just wondering in they give decent items for plate class wearers as the items are all leather apparently.

Need a bit higher faction than Warmly. I'm not totally sure right now what I'm sitting at as far as into Warmly, but when I first got there I was warmly and he wouldn't talk to me. Went and killing some noc, ukuns and kyvs in DS came back and still warmly and still no talking.
MQ?

Can this be mq'd? I have an ember, and my twink lacks legs :(
RE: MQ?
# Oct 14 2004 at 12:01 PM Rating: Default
Nope. Can't MQ any OOW quests that I've seen. Plus you'd have to do a hell of a lot of factioning to get both chars to warmly to do the quest.

I have been told you need warmly faction with dranik loyalists.

Killing Kyvs and Ukun's will give this faction. I believe Nocs will also.

Does anyone have information regarding the faction of Barowsar (or what may be killed to raise faction with this NPC)? Currently Barowsar 'Glares Threateningly' at my WoodElf Druid (leather would work here) and I have the appropriate pieces for the gloves ... just lacking the faction to get the NPC to respond to Hails. I have not currently tried the turn-in, in fears I may lose NO DROP items. Any help here is appreciated thanks!

edit: thx for the reply folks! still working on that faction now ... can anyone describe the reward for a druid's hands ??? thanks again !

Question
# Oct 12 2004 at 9:15 PM Rating: Default
Is this quest for leather only classes?
If not does he need diffrent items for diffrent classes?
RE: Question
# Oct 13 2004 at 7:05 AM Rating: Default
From the text given i'd say these are leather classes only. The npc that gives the quest is Apprentice "Tanner" Barowsar. A tanner is someone who works in leather. Can anyone confirm that these are for different armor classes or are there different npc's for various armors in other zones?

True the quest does say that its leather, but there are items that are made of leather that are all/all

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=16140

My question is... are they class spacific quests or are the items all/all?
are they no drop?
or atttuneable?
RE: Question
# Oct 13 2004 at 12:41 PM Rating: Default

Got "Stillmind Cap" monk only, 115 hp, 4 regen/DS. I'm a monk. Either it gives class-specific armor depending on your class, or I just got lucky.

Edit: Done a few more of 'em.

Stillmind armbands- 19 ac, 10 sta, 115 hp, 100 end, improved block I

Stillmind Sandals: 17 ac, 110 hp, 20 atk, 2 regen

some resists and other stuff too but i'm lazy, sorry =/
