You say, 'Hail, Gorvoroth'

The dragorn bows as you approach. 'Greetings. I know not of your heritage or family, but I beseech you none-the-less. My farms are being overrun by roving murkgliders. Too many dragorn warriors have been slain or conscripted by the Muramites and now there's no one left to defend us forgotten serfs. I beg of you, spare my life and slay as many murkgliders as you can. Bring me their blood for its scent will ward off the rest of the hive. Please help. The Muramites have forgotten us.'

Bring him one Seeping Murkglider Fluid, a rare drop from murkgliders.

The dragorn takes the blood from you. 'Thank you, ______. This should keep the murkgliders at bay for a while. Let me know if you recover any more.'

With the change in the faction system now telling you what faction gains and/or losses you get, I can report that the quest gives:

Your faction standing with Dranik Loyalists has been adjusted by 1
Your faction standing with Overlord Mata Muram has been adjusted by -1

Found it better to sell these for 100pp+ to Vendors. Seemed a lil more worth my time 8)
not lots of faction here

For curiosity, as much as anything else, I just turned in 14 fluids. Was at dubious when I started, was at dubious when I finished.

So I am adding my voice to the chorus: This is not a quick way to good faction.

stay with it

bout 2 weeks ago i got the Ext.Enhance V shoulders with nice stats to boot. Excellent upgrade but i do warn you guys doing it. This faction quest is not for the faint of heart. was 66-67 when i started this so woulda been better if i was actually getting exp but it took allllong time.. Trust me though later on the gear is nice...keep it up and go on odd times when no one is avail for groups. I did get a few augs from this zone but they are rare so only count em as a bonus to exp or faction.good luck
1 hit per turn in

Why is everyone complaining?

You act is if you expect the factioning for loyalist to be easy. I have never bought anything for loyalist turn ins, but do turn them in if I happen to loot them. The armor you get it warmly and ally is well worth the xping in oow zones to get the needed faction. I am currently at amaible, and have most of the drops I need for the turn ins, other than the raid mobs. This is very doable, just dont expect it to happen overnight, or with a few k worth of turnins

5 kyv hearts (other faction quest) took me to dubious.

13 fluids and I went from Dubious to Apprehensive.

The fluids did cost me about 35k though.

I am ally on both my druid and warrior, it did take a little while but was quite easy. This was all done in basically 2 zones. RcoD where almost all mobs added to loyalists and 2nd was in DS on the 2nd floor of the castle at DS/NC zoneline.

all of the kyvs on 2nd floor are lt blue to lvl 70, dont summon. Little tricky to make enough room because there are many wanderers and some see invis, but once you clear a few you just plow through them. I would do the castle spot 2 box'd w/ dru/war in down time between exp and raiding.

RCoD is also quite good not only for the faction but for the decent loot, and 75% + of the oow armor quest items drop here. So farming the items needed for the quest and lots faction hits all in one.

I finally made it to Kindly -- I figured I was this close so I went to bazaar to buy some... Well... I'm up to 7 more turned in and still Kindly --- Tip - Don't waste your pp on these in the bazaar for the faction hit seems LOW... REALLY LOW....

The way someone explained it to me is that the faction for turning in these seeping murkglider fluids is worth about 10 kills each.

When I loot them (rarely), then I offer them for sale, and if no one buys it, I turn it in. I certainly don't mind killing 10 extra critters for faction. I think it's a couple thousand kills to get the needed faction for quests - which means it's a couple hundred bloods to get the same results.

You actually only get (1) faction hit per turn in- the same as for killing (1) mob.

You missunderstand faction quests then. Even though you only see 1 faction message, the amount of faction is close to 10 mob kills. Each quest provides a different amount of faction, and even some mobs offer a different amount of faction.. Think of it as being somewhat like exp. Just because mobs are dark blue, doesn't mean they all offer the exact same exp. Exp is calculated by a total number. It might take 952,000 points to level up, and some mobs might give you 2500 points, others may give you 32,000 points. Factioning works the same way.

No -- Tinque has it correct. Starting at kindly (500) and after turning in 30 seeping fluids, it took me another 220 kills in DS to reach warmly. You get only 1 faction for each turn-in of the seeping murkglider fluids -- and one of the worst quests in EQ.

Just mass kill -- this quest is a waste of time

Just did this, It didnt do much at all. Killing kyvs/Ukuns/Nocs have only gotten me to Dubious faction and i have been doing this whenever i have time to. Any ideas on where to go to get great faction hits? I am not worried about the exp at all, so i dont care where i have to go just as long as i get this demned faction. Thanks for any responses :)

Handed in 8 fluids and still threating, so do not expect fast street to faction with these. Don't pay alot of plat for these, since they do not seem to help you ton's with getting your faction up.

As rare as the seeping fluid is, the faction hits should be bigger

Just spend 8.2k on 3 fluids....From apprehensive it didn't go up once, horrible faction hit. I would strongly suggest not buying fluid for faction unless you are rich beyond your mind. Fluid is just too rare and expensive for the horrible faction hits.

# Nov 08 2004 at 11:06 AM Rating: Decent
i have turned in 7 seeping fluids so far and i am still in the threatening faction, i have spent the last 4 days killing kyvs and nocs non-stop, i must have really pissed this guy off :(

Gorvoroth glares at you threateningly - What would you like your tombstone to say.

But he still gave me the quest, took the blood, and gave me faction. :-D

Still threatening, though. heh.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 12 2004 at 8:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Seems sort of ironically appropriate that someone who would normally want to rip your head off anywhere else in EQ would let you do a quest in the realm of discord?

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 07 2004 at 10:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Maybe once you become an ally you'll get a free month of EQ2!! hehe More than likely it will "flag" you for something else.....maybe to go to an undiscovered area with new riches,or perhaps get an Artifact item you can show to all your friends(ie:Scarecrow,Tin Man,etc...) Or maybe SOE will contact you to offer you a chance to name a new server ...LOL
