Infected Paw

For those of you who do not know, Infected Paw HAS been re-vamped! It is now a lvl 70+ zone with elementals of sorts. I took my mid lvl necromancer and a lvl 62 Shaman in there to get some exp bonus for my necro to lvl and not 2 sec after we entered the zone, the Shaman was dropped. I was confused, did not know what was happening. I saw corpse above his name and could not believe it. Three hits and he was down. I tried to gate out, but could not do so intime, before another elemental popped right in front of me. This quest must be broken. I DO NOT advise going into this lair unless thee is a purpose. Please do your research before you end up dead.

I believe you're supposed to kill the ones outside in SK now. Everything from Splitpaw (Infected Paw) has been moved outside of its respective zone into SK. Makes things a lot easier in my opinion ;)

Anyone know where the gnolls spawn in SK now? I have scanned the entire zone with trackers and none to be found. Do you need to kill a certain PH to pop them or is this quest busted?
beyond the double doors

just so you guys are aware, NONE of the gnolls in Paw see Inv's,, it is EASY enough to Invis the whole party and run PAST the double doors AND the bridge (lev helps for those that have trouble with the bridge) ... There are at least 3 good camp/pull to spots back behind the double doors ...
IF only people would explore some before they run in and pull what ends up being the whole room ...
Follow Up

This quest was given to me as a lvl 33 Ranger. At level 24 I went into infected PAW with a party of 4 of equal lvl. Needless to say we died once inside the first set of double doors. There are very powerful casters inside and we had to have a Necro find and drag our corpses for us. Once again EQ is giving out quests that are WAY to difficult for the level they are for. We should have known.

Correction: We were all level 34 (not 24) when we went in.
Flooded Tunnel
# Oct 15 2004 at 8:24 AM Rating: Decent
I think the tunnel is #5 on the EQAtlas map but havent made it that deep in yet. Tried it with my Ranger and 2 Mages-the mages died and I had to evac to survive. The room with the double doors has a healer on the bridge that heals the attacking gnolls making it difficult to kill them - since he is on the bridge he is hard to hit with spells. Gonna have to go back with a full party and our own healer.
#5 on EQAtlas??

Is it referring to the hidden underwater tunnel shown as #5 on EQAtlas map?
Drink of the Gnolls

This one is turning out to be a pretty good task -I have earned 1.5 levels of exp and haven't completed it yet. Probably should be level 30 to attempt it but lots of nice Gnolls to fry.

It is not necessary to turn the rainwater in to anyone. Just looting it updates the task window.
Next step after looting 4 rainwaters is as follows:

"You have proven your worth to the spirits as a fighter but there is still more for you to do. You must once again venture deeper into the wild but this time you must explore the eastern tunnels accesible via flooded cave."

Haven't completed this one yet so I don't know what comes next.
