This quest begins with Marda in the Shaman guild hall of Oggok.
You say, 'Hail, Marda' Marda says 'Welcome to intelligence, young Tumytuk! Did you think all ogres were inept? Ha!! I hope you show the glimmer, we shamans need more within our ranks. Our race needs to evolve!! So, are you one of the smart ogres or have I spoken too many syllables?' You say, 'I am one of the smart ogres' Marda says 'Well, I suppose your intelligence shall grow. You will have to do. I have a mission for you. First, go and speak with Grevak of the Greenblood Knights. He will have a job for you. After you have performed some manner of service and advanced at least 5 ranks, return to me and ask me about my secret mission.' Grevak has tasks that will occupy you until you reach 5th level. You say, 'what about this secret mission?' Marda says 'I have heard of your advancements. You are a fine addition to Oggok. I require your skill in handling a delicate matter. I want you to run out to the Bouncer's keep near the entrance to Oggok. There, you shall find a froglok named Glib. He will pose no threat to you. He has come on business and I have promised him protection. Tell him the Greenblood shaman sent you. He shall fill you in. Go at once.' After she has spoken these words, Emissary Glib spawns at the very top of the Keep near the zoneline to the Feerrott. Get to him as soon as possible after talking to Marda as he won't stay there long before hopping off towards the Feerott and disappearing. You say, 'Hail, Emissary Glib' Emissary Glib `Gloop.. Are you the one? Who sent you?' You say, 'The Greenblood Shaman sent me' Emissary Glib 'Gloop.. Good. I am the secret emissary of the frogloks of Guk. I have come to help your community, provided, that is, that you help mine. Gloop.. I want you to track down and kill the troll hunters called 'slayers.' They are capturing our foragers in the swamps. Return their slayer necklaces to me and I shall pay you, but most important, find the slayer captain. Bring me his captain's necklace and I shall give you a secret. I must leave soon. If you need me, just ask Marda where I am.' When you have the items required, ask Marda "where is Emissary Glib?" to get him to spawn again. Upon handing in a "Frog Eye Necklace" (lore: Troll Slayer Necklace) to Glib: Emissary Glib says ' Your faction standing with OggokCitizen got better. You gain experience!! I see the regular troll slayer necks are worth 1 and the captains are worth 2. I will just assume some faulty math and not knowing precisely where I was into the factions. In any case, the new messages saves me a lot of headache. It isn't everything we faction hounds wanted - but its a great thing to have
Emissary Glib and Bubbgrip are both on same faction and its OggokCitizen. finally I know now. I was handing in the Frog Eye Nacklaces (for this test I used Collaboration on Glib) and my faction with these 2 npcs both went up to Warmly from Kindly. It is Amiable without the spell. So now I have good information. Will continue to look around.

I drank a double faction potion and handed in 20 more and was now kindly unadjusted. leaving me kindly with alliance and warmly with coll. then I handed in 59 more and then 10 slayer captain necks and I jumped to warmly with alliance. then 13 more slayer captain necks and that's where the whole thing stands now. What I cant figure is that since kindly is 500 point span and alliance is 300, then the 59 reg and 10 captain hand ins only got me 200-ish points. which would mean (making certain assumptions) that the reg necks are worth 1 point each normally (2 doubled ) for 120 of that 200 and then the other 80 came from 10 captain necks putting them at 4 normally and 8 doubled. but that does not jive with the first 20 which should be about 100 points.

Where does he spawn? Not in the warrior's guild from what I can see. I can't find Glib anywhere between there and the zone exit.
EDIT: NM, I finally found him by talking to Marda and then sprinting to the entrance and just waiting there. Still no idea where he actually spawns. His ZAM screenshot is not of anywhere I know in the Warrior guild.

He spawns in the watchtower as you first enter oggok at the very top.
I tried Murpa and she said "buy some of my stuff" and that was all. I tried Marda and she said "Knights!! COme at once. There is a foe of the Greenbloods to deal with"
Then the bouncers attacked and of course my pet killed them. If you are an ogre, why do you need to raise faction and if you are not an ogre-- how can you raise it? Just curious because i like having faction everywhere-- makes it easier.

I'm not quite sure how the spawn cycle works here but here is what i did. I had a 60 shadowknight with pet out and swam in the lake in front of upper guk. I just sent pet and slaughtered as many things as I could until one of the names below spawned and killed them. I would see one every minute or two. I think you have to keep slaughtering everything to get them to spawn because i think it may be random. Here is the log of the names of mobs that I killed (in order) and what item i got from turning in the Slayer Captain Necklace. I camped this over a few days, but this particular log is from a 4-6 hour stretch. Seems like the humanoids and the "a troll slayer"'s are not on the same cycle as i have seen them both up at the same time.

Troll slayers no longer appaer in Innothule swamp . I think this quest is broken

With the LoY expansion out is this quest still the same as outlined above?
A couple of days ago, I was in the swamp and saw the Captain for first time. I killed him and a few subsequent troll slayers... got a total of 5 necklaces... all titled same but one was from captain.... i gave them to my human monk and sat her at the front of oggok.
I had a friend make an ogre shaman and hail the lady in the guild with the below mentioned "Where is emissary glib?" she replies that he has just entered oggok. and is where you last saw him.
I had done this to check if worked... and upon hail from the one who hailed the shaman lady... he stopped and chatted. Figured same for anyone non kos.... well wrong.
He ran right past my monk, with me hailing away. So i had my friend do it again but this time come and hail him as well near zone... he hailed him... frog stopped... i proceeded to give the necklaces... got faction for 4 of them and coin only.... and one ... the captain's I am sure... got me the foragers pack... is 10slot nodrop lore weight 1.o and weight reduction of 50%. not the 25 as stated above.
this is easily done for any race... just need a shaman to spawn emissary.
Problem is finding the darn captain.
Is a nice bag that I am happy to own.

how long does it take for glib to spawn after i talk to marda....

I got the slayer captins necklace,(which is just the same as the ones on the normal troll slayers) and turned it in to Glib. i didn't get anything great but that is not the end of the quest. Next he told me to go talk to Groak, a froglock prisioner in Grobb and tell him that Glib sent me. Groak is the one simply called "A Prisioner" all the others say "A Froglok Prisioner". Wish i could say what happens next but I'm now KOS to Bashers so i can't get back in the town. Trying to get my faction back,(kill lynuga in innothule, or the named female troll in steamfront to gain basher faction). More to come, good luck all.

Killing one or two Troll Slayers ruined my faction with Trolls! ( never cared for them anyway, but now I am KOS!)
I did this quest today - went to Innothule for the Slayers, they can be found just North of the Guk entrance, roughly p800, n400. I got 3 necklaces in an hour once I found this spot, then off to Ogguk to try and find Emissary Glib. As reported here earlier, anyone can give her the line "Where is Emissary Glib?" to spawn him, and he'll take off for the Feerott zone line out of the tower. He's very quick, and I missed him the 1st time. 2nd time, I attacked him, Rooted, then memblurred with Screaming Terror. After my spell broke, he was standing still, and open to Trades. I got positive faction with OggukResidents, and some loose change - no Spear or Bag in 3 attempts (with an open inventory slot, naturally). He did mention the Slayer Captain, so maybe he needs a drop off that guy (never seen him) to give up the Bag.

Marda is at the Shamans Guild, it takes a while to find her, but when i found she doesnt give me that Quest. Brrrr and i am a Ogre Warrior and Amiably to her

Just ask Marda, "Where is Emissary Glib?" Be sure you spell emissary correctly.

I did that quest as a Wood Elf Ranger. Aye it's possible. :)
You just have to log with an oggre toon who will give the good sentance to Marda and make the Emissary spawn in the tower. Then, log back your main, go in Oggok inviso and wait, hidden, next to the entrance just after the first shop (strangely, ogre merchants are not KOS to me). When Glib (who should cons indifferant) goes to the exit, just give him the necklace and pray to have the bag. I was not lucky and got nothing but some changes and faction hits. I will try this again when the troll slayers will be gentle enough to give me their necklaces (rare loot, as it seems : I only got 1 necklace in 10 kills of those very underconned trolls).

Gave a Froglok Eye Necklace and got some silver and OggokCitizen faction. He mentioned that he really wanted the Slayer "Captian's Necklace." My guess is the better stuff comes only with this item.
