Ssynthi may be found at -55, +385, in the graveyard behind the mausoleum. He is on Temple of Solusek Ro faction.
You say, 'Hail Ssynthi.' Ssynthi says, 'I am Ssynthi, [Warder of Ro]. Would you do a simple [service] for me?' You say, 'A Warder of Ro?' Ssynthi says, 'I have renounced by ties to the shadowed men and become a follower of the one true flame, Solusek Ro. I have hopes that one day my brethren will see the errors of their ways and cease their mindless war.' You say, 'What service can I do for you?' Ssynthi says, 'The body of my true love lies within this tomb. I seek a token to remember her by - the flower which lies atop her coffin. I would get it myself, but the tomb is warded against my kind. Since I can not enter, I ask you to fetch it for me.' Fetch the Flower from inside the tomb at location -26, +376. It presents as a bag atop the coffin. Give it to Ssynthi. Ssynthi says, 'Thank you. Since you have done me a service with no thought of reward, I offer you this small token of my favor.' Your faction standing with Temple of Sol Ro got better. Your faction standing with Shadowed Men got worse. You gain experience!! Faction is +1 Temple of Sol Ro , -1 Shadowed Men.

It's viable... just not very reasonable (to raise faction via this quest).
At this time, we only know the numeric values for a couple of the Sol Ro quests. Some of them, such as Stein of Ulissa give a +5 faction hit --so maybe there is a quest in the known list that would be good for your purposes.
Killing:
a shadowed man (Nektulos Forest)
a shadowed man (Commonlands)
a shadowed man (Lesser Faydark) +1
Are also known to raise this faction. We can assume that Nektulos and Commonlands is also +1, but confirmation would be nice.

the flower is NOT in lesser faydark. it is in the building right next to ssynthi. just walk around to the front side of it, open the door, go in, pick up the bag, go back out and hand it to him. it is that easy
Ssynthi is at location -61, +372 in Castle Mistmoore behind the Mauseleum. He is a shadow man whose visible manifestation is an open book.

Looked at the loc given, and even ran around the LDoN crypt entrance area and no groundspawn. It was supposed to be a 60 sec respawn when in the tomb, which is now locked, so whats it now in LFay?
Couldn't find a rogue to unlock it. Even tried using my rogue and trying to time it so it just starts opening the door when the 5 second camp is up but not fast enough. Finally I just pushed myslef into the door and cast Yonder and boom I was INSIDE and got the flower. I had to evac out and come back to hand it in but no biggie. Tomb needs to be unlocked again.
I am unable to find this quest NPC in Lesser faydark. They do not appear on my rangers tracking list

He's moved back into Castle Mistmoore. I've updated the quest description accordingly.
From the Greater Faydark entrance to LFay travel directly South all the way to the South wall. Ssynthi is located at the base of a tree on the south wall within sight.

The flower is NO RENT and LORE, so one flower at a time. Another flower reappears on the coffin after 62 seconds - pretty quick.
You must be at least indifferent with Ssynthi (TempleOfSolusekRo faction) to do this quest. If not, raise your faction first by killing Shadowed Men or better yet go to South Ro and do the Cutthroat Rings quest with Ortallius or the simple 3pp quest with Rathmana Allin.

Well im not sure if theres a block on it or not,but it seems to work nice for necro's,especially for clarity 2,and if they dont have harvester it works for getting the faction up for that also.Plus its super easy,just watch out for the pits surrounding it on the left and right sides heh.Ive done that a couple of times and had to gate out =(

Actually the Clarity doesn't work. This is actually the Septre of Sorrow (listed in Allakazams as septre of shadow), used in the Necro quest for the Shadow bound boots and the Wiz quest for the Weeping Wand. If you use the spell identify on it it will show the full name.

So this scepter you now get has a charge of clarit II on it. I'm a necro and I can't right click on it to work, which sucks, so what level do I need to be in order to use the scepter?

the scepter is quest related so probably not functional since it involves so many quest.There might be a block on the effect.

I'm curious to know what to do with this sceptre. Says it's needed in several quests but I can't find it listed on the Allakhazam quest item list, I have no clue what to do with it.

I tried to do this to raise faction and the shadowman said get away from me! I cant even raise faction with these guys by doing the flower quest? What the heck did I do to deserve this?

To raise faction with Ssynthi, also known as the Temple of Solusek Ro, you have to kill the "regular" shadowmen found in various places around Norrath. Lavastorm, West Commons and Lesser Fay just to name a few. Once your faction with the Temple raises some, you should be able to do the "flower quest".

Well, as I understand it, the story is that the tomb is "protected by spells" i.e. hallowed ground. He can't set foot on it.

Well its funny you say that. I seen people who miss the part about the floor traps and reach for the flower from the sides and wammo YOU HAVE FALLEN FOR 300 Hp of DAMGE! hehehe.

actually more like 30 hps of dmg
i have not seen the flower in 4 trips there, i fall down each time for only 10dmg, trying to get behind the coffin. is the flower part broken? i want the staff for sb gloves.
