Goriba Thugorson is located beside the Berserker trainer.

You say, 'Hail, Goriba Thurgorson.'

Goriba Thurgorson scratches her beard and says, 'What do we have here? A young [berserker] perhaps seeking fame and glory?'

You say, 'I am a berserker'
Goriba Thurgorson says 'To be honest, I do not think that fame and glory will become yours so soon, but I can instruct you on how to make a helpful set of armor if you are [interested].'

You say, 'I am interested'
Goriba Thurgorson says 'Take this assembly kit. With this kit, you will be able to combine the various components necessary to make your armor. I can instruct you on how to make [boots], [leggings], [bracers], [gloves], a [coif], a [gorget], or a [tunic]. I suggest you wait to make the tunic last, as it is the most difficult item to construct.'

You say, 'I'd like to make the tunic.'

Goriba Thurgorson says 'To make a Stonewrath Tunic, you must obtain two small pieces of ore, two goblin brains, one giant bat fur, and one snake fang. You should able to find the animal parts in the Butcherblock Mountains and the ore somewhere here in town. Once you have combined these items in your assembly kit, take the Stonewrath Tunic Material to a forge along with this mold to create your new tunic. Once you have made your tunic, return to me and I may have another [task] for you to complete.'

You say, 'What task?'

Goriba Thurgorson says 'Venture to the nearby Dagnor's Cauldron and find four scalded rat skins. Once you have these items, return to me and I will reward you.'

Upon turning in the four Scalded Rat Skins:

Goriba Thurgorson says 'I see you have embraced the rage burning from within and have accomplished your task. Take this axe as a reward.'

You gain experience.

(No faction gains for this turnin.)

Hunt in Steamfont for these. Some rats drop 2 at a time. Very annoying when hunting for Gnome items that never seem to drop...

As of 5/22/04 atleast, the scalded rat skins from the freeport newbie area will work for this quest, got my my 4 skins in about 6 kills, and collected a backpack full of plague rat tails while I was at it

As of 7/4/06, you can still get the Scalded Rat Skins in West Freeport's newbie area and turn them in for the final task. I have a 6 level Dwarf Berserker and turned them into Goriba Thurgorson in North Kaladim.

I tried going to the Cauldron to kill the scaled rats, Its very hard to find them there, even with my ranger. I killed a total of 15 and got 1 skin. Im going to try my luck with the large rats in qeynos.
My advice:: Don't goto the Cauldron

I was wondering around in the Qeynos newbie zone killing large rats for their tails and after about ten minutes had four of these, just thought I'd mention it. You can use the PoK to get to Qeynos and have your newbie weapon by the time you're level two or three.

Infected Rats in the Feerrott also drop the Scalded Rat Skin. My young zerker was soloing them easily at level 4. Just be careful of the wandering orge guards if you're KOS to them.

Wouldn't try doing this at under lvl 10, or you will get killed by the Aqua Goblins and Undertow Skeketons. A LOT of adds here (In the Cauldron). If you can, get back up. (I did this with a 53 Druid for heals and buffs)

They drop off about 1 in 5 Scalded Rats in DC.

Hurler- 9 Dwarven Zerker
Dobur Frizbeecatcher- 37 Froglok Shaman
Uzamaki Naruto- 25 H. Elf Cleric

Drugaal's list is a little inaccurate as it is shown 07/07/04... I think what happened is that some recipes require 2 of an ingredient, but Drugaal only looked at the "Required Item" list down the left side of the Quest info. The accurate count, including making 2 Bracers (not Lore) is:

12x Small Piece of Ore
1x Runnyeye Warbeads
1x Spiderling Silk
3x Goblin Brain
1x Giant Bat Fur
1x Snake Fang
3x Bat Wing
9x Bone Chips
1x Skunk Tail
2x Aviak Eye
1x Giant bat Wing
1x Pristine Skunk Claw (Quest text says Claw instead of Paw, at least)
4x Scalded Rat Skin

No wonder beserkers are so crazy - they use a skunk tail around their neck, brains on their helm and tunic, and eyes in their boots - and kaladim seems like a pretty warm zone... can't imagine that stuff smells good in the warm summer heat...

I took the scalded rat skins from Qeyons newb area to the guild master and gave them to him. No axe. Suggestions? Possibly only Dagnors Cauldron skins work?

Well I can tell you that I had one skin from a Cauldron rat, and got the other three from rats in Misty Thicket and had no problem getting my axe. Just a friendly reminder to make sure that you always turn in multiple items unstacked...I make that mistake all the time (d'oh).
