White Dragonscale Cloak  

First of all I just finished the quest and did my dance of happyness. I contacted one of the other guys that finished the quest and they conned indifferent to him. I conned amaiable. I also found a trigger phrase that he responded to that made it alot easier to hand over my White Dragon Hide(from Vox). I said "What wedding present" and he responded "Well she is quite fond of jewelry. And a black sapphire platinum necklace would compliment her eyes and beard so exquisitly". after i got my cloak he said the following: My fiance will be so excited! An exquisit ring for the wedding and a gorgeous necklace as my wedding gift to her. Well as promised, here is your white dragonscale cloak.

finally the changed the drop now u need white dragonscale hide or somtin like that now bards and castores are together agian (but castores still better lol)

you have to do it with the dragon HIDE not the SCALE the hide 55hp/mana necklace and 7 save all ring is what you need to complete thequest the item is magic thats all not lor / nodrop :)

Ok, is this a white dragon HIDE or SCALE? Quest says one thing, posts say another.

is the actual cloak now NODROP?
what kinda faction is needed?

i have the hide so will i need to MQ it with someone or can i just sell the finished cloak?

i have recently completed this quest a few day's after the patch happend i might be either the first or 2nd person to do this on the torvo server ...... me being a shaman loves this but would think its a wizzies wet dream because it has imporved dammage 3 on ice strike (my hardest nuke so far) i hit a max of 780 and the spell does about 640 ish i love this cloak and not trading it for anything in the wrold

Geez. Bards have their place and so do casters. Casters make damage. Bards prevent damage. Either way it adds up to fewer deaths involved in killing big creatures. If you wanna make a #### statement about how you feel, ask your local raid leader whether you are in the roll for the white scale. If mr. raid leader says "no, you can't be in on the roll," vote with your feet. If you want your shiny cape, ask the raid leader BEFORE YOU EVEN GET THERE if you can get in on a roll. It's entirely possible that the entire group is there to get the bard his epic and a caster will be excluded. Be polite and say "OK, but I was really hoping for a chance at the scale for my cloak quest. Thanks, but I'm gonna go do a Fungus beer quest for a couple hours and work on AA." If you want to REALLY make a statement, get together with a few other casters and make a real difference! It's not like there's so much other Vox gear you'll be missing out on if you don't go along anyway. And if 4-5 casters walk from a 20 person raid, maybe the leader will think more carefully about his looting policies. Once again, I don't care what class you play. I have played a cleric, a necromancer, a bard, a wizard, a warrior, and a mage to 60 or very close, and I have found that they all have their distinct jobs to do. You have NO idea how many times my FD'd necro has been the only one left after a ####'ed up raid went sour and I have been there to rez a cleric back into the game AND THEN twitch him up to where he can rez people (how about that? Twitching saves the day!) Anyone who thinks that any class doesn't have a serious job to do simply hasn't raided enough. Even druids come in handy -- they, too, are jacks-of-many-trades...their succors are just as lifesaving as the wizards'.

OK, yes, that was a rant, but I am quite sick of partisan class-********* It's all in how you deal with people. Be a whiny jackass when dealing with your loot/raid officer, and I say you deserve whatever you get. That is not to say that you shouldn't stand up for yourself, but it's ridiculous to come in AFTER the dragon's dead and demand rights to something the leader probably thought was ONLY for the bard epic. Bards, stick with your raid leader's decision. If he says that casters get a roll, put up with it and wait for your turn on the scale (if you're reading this, I KNOW you aren't trying to get your scale from Vox, which means it will be a while before you get another shot at Gore/Scalekeeper). Use your instruments creatively and the extra bonuses those selo's drums and Kelin's lute make will add up. A bard who won't or can't weave instruments is only half a bard.

Do you want to know how many better cloaks there are for wizzies out there EVEN WITH luclin out? A whopping 4.. Oh, so you bards will say so, then go get those and leave the scale to us. Well, one thing, these cloaks are rarer than the scale.. Scale can drop off 3 mobs. Vox, Gore and the Scalekeeper in the Hole. Lets run down the list.

Cloak of Piety - Mob is TrakAnon. Hmm.. I don't know about you, but i have seen Trak about as many times as I have lived through a Death Touch from Cazic! Also, with loot table, you would see this cloak on average once every couple months!

Shroud of Veeshan - Mob is Phara Dar. Cloak is Phara Dar's rarest drop you will find!

Astral Cloak of Tears - Ok. This is a quest cloak. I only mention this cuz it does have 9int. Other than that it is crap. Low AC, neg hits to STR and SVF.

Shroud of the Dar - Hmm.. Another quest cloak, from the WESTERN WASTES. By the time you could do this quest, Vox and Nagy are out, since you will be obviously lvl 55+.

My point. Just because it is a part of your epic, does not make it FOR YOU ONLY. I do believe the scale is ALL/ALL so that in itself makes it a fair share item.
