At the zone border of Eastern Karana, by the Qeynos road marker (/loc?), are a knight, Sir Morgan, and his squire.
You say, 'Hail, Squire Wimbley' Squire Wimbley says 'Hello! Good to meet you. The road ahead is full of all sorts of nasty creatures. If I were you, I would speak with my master, Sir Morgan.' You say, 'Hail, Sir Morgan' Sir Morgan says 'Hail, traveler! Might I escort you through to Highpass? The path ahead is filled with giants and many other hungry beasts. I assure you, you will be safe with me. I must admit, I am quite experienced in the ways of the warrior. Do you [wish an escort] or will you [travel alone]?' You say, 'I wish an escort.' Sir Morgan says 'I shall be honored to escort you to Highpass, but you shall have to wait for a spell. I make trips every few hours. I also would be grateful to any who wish to donate gold coins to the upkeep of my armor. The rains in the plains cause much rusting.' You say, 'I will travel alone.' Sir Morgan says 'Then, good luck to you! May your faith protect you. Or at the very least, guide you to a grand afterlife.' Give him 5 gold: Sir Morgan says 'What a grand donation!! You must be a rich noble to be making such a donation. Here. I am but a simple warrior, but I found this lying on the highway to Highpass Hold. The lifeless corpse next to it had no more need of it.' You will get a random item, including the following: Patchwork cloak; Patchwork boots; Rusty Weapons; Silver Earring; Bloodstone; Halfling knife; 1st level spell scroll; shock of blades (mag 7), Bronze Dagger; Belt pouch; Damask cap; Mountain Lion Cape; Highkeep Flask; Snakeskin Mask; Drom's Champagne. this gives no faction hits or exp. Squire Wimbley's loc when near NK bridge is -10, +200. He roams toward highpass at some point of the day and then walks back to the marker.

Highkeep Flasks also drop from the Guards in Highkeep... a pointless coment this mabee,. but it might be the key we need to unravel the mystery of the sith,. i mean,,. er this quest...

I think this quest is for those that don't want to carry all of their copper and silver and gamble with this guy for a good item. But usually you loose. hehe

the drom's champagne is used in the paladin soulfire quest but it can be bought for about the same as you give the guy, also its used for getting drunk!

My guildmate got the 39 spell Column of Fire (sp?) or something like that off of him for giving him 5gp.

I forgot the exact name but he gave me a Claok with AC 5 (no stats)

They are nothing fancy, AC3, -5 Charisma, usable by most classes (but pure casters), sell for 9 gold 5 silver to vendor though.
I have received all of the above mentioned items with the exception of the Mask, the Champagne and the Damask Cap, and overall I would say that it is not worth doing this quest.
You will receive a lot of patchwork armor which only sells for 1 or 2 gold to vendor so you normally make a loss hen doing this quest.

Wow there is a nice rogue throwing wep for you the delay is a little long but, a rogue deadly strike with such a knife is 72dmg :)
not nessarily the best for the long fights but for a pulling tool useful a stack of these could come in hand no matter what lvl rogue

It's a pity this Halfiling Knife is lore :(
Aside from that minor flaw in your comment (about having a stack), I completely agree with you. In fact when I log on in a few minutes I'm definetly going to get one. Maybe it's a bit of trouble for one throwing weapon, but I'll love the comments I get from my group when they tell me to go pull and I come back with a mob thats missing near 100 hit points. :)
