Can you say RE-DEEEEKE-U-LIS. I'm going to venture that I've killed probably 300 of the mobs listed that can drop this and have never seen one. As a side note duoed with a shaman friend there for about 4 + hours yesterday and got....
5 caster crests
2 hybrid crests
1 melee crest
and killed 5 tier 4 named and 1 tier 3. I'm trying to complete this for my druid but was playing my ranger and let me just say....without even trying I completed hybrid marsingers 1, 2, and 3 in about 6 hours....***** you sony.

On 07-24-04, our first etched priest crest dropped from the High Priest ph for the Archon in Tier 4. (after many hours of searching)
The Tome of Dark Healing had dropped some days ago and my cleric won the roll. When the priest crest dropped, there was no roll because I was playing bots. Okay happy cleric..me. Of course, now I made plans to live in Hate for another month to equip my druid.
On 07-25-04 another priest crest dropped from a nearby High Priest. Within the hour the Archon spawned and dropped the Tome. Happy cleric and druid. I recommend forgetting about the level 2 and 3 mobs. Other crests dropped also as we cleared mobs in Tier 4. No crests for any category dropped for us in Tier 2 or 3. We play on the Drinal server.

I agree with this person. I spent a year and a half hunting in PoHate, and I've only see 1 etched priest crest from tier 3. Today, when I needed it for my shaman, I got a group together and went to tier 4 side to confirm this advice, and a hour and half later one dropped from 10th or so high priest of hate. An etched knight's crest dropped too during that duration. Crests do seem a lot more common compared to tier 3 and even 2.

Can anybody confirm that the drop rate is still ungodly low?
The drop rate continues to be extremely, EXTREMELY low!
But grats my cleric Metanis on Veeshan finally got his last night. We camped this with strong groups 3 times with each session running to 10 or more hours and the sessions separated over a week apart. We killed any priest mob we could find and also the Ven golems (along the south and west walls mostly).
One finally dropped off "a Templar of Hate" in a room with double doors located at neg300,neg70.
FWIW, We stayed and killed more mobs and found that the repop in this templar's location was a Champion of Hate.
If you are camping this I can only offer my condolences for it will be a long and agonizing camp.

I actually have the Marsingers Glittering gem on my main cleric, and my alt Shaman. Plus both of them have etched priest crests to MQ. Yea, they are rare, but I've had consistant drops of them. You just have to be dedicated to achiving this item. The exp in tier 4 was pretty nice up till lvl 66, 66+ its a nice addition to your camping.

The Etched Priest's Crest is a myth. 150 vics/temps/HP's dead, 0 drops. In clearing the mobs that are in the way of the cleric-types, I've seen 2 sorc crests and 1 soldier crest.
SOE, fix this goddamn quest. I'm guessing there's an extra zero in the deminator of the drop rates. It seems that drop rates on crests are 1/30-1/50, but for priests it's 1/several hundred. I wish it was reasonable.

Well seems my petitions and bug reporting only caused one thing, they made the crests non existent for all classes now. In last 2 weeks I have gotten 3 crests for other classes total when I used to get 5 or more a day, just never a priest crest.
So seems SoE decided instead of making it drop better we will just nerf drop rate for all classes.
Can't wait till WoW next year.

okay this is a update form my post below on the BS drop rate of priest crests.
its now been 13 days since we been trying to get a priest crest to drop. We kill at least 100+ Veng Golems, Vicers, Templers and High Priest a day and we still have not got one Crest in 13 days.
This quest has to be broke for priest class or the drop rate is so messed up it might as well be totally broke. I hate not being able to finish a quest so I keep plugging away at it hoping though.
I have easily finished this quest for all other classes but priest so for you other classes go for it its not that bad, just priest class quest sucks for the Crest :(

I've been doing PoHate camps on and off for most of september. USually go up there for 3-5 hours at a time. Great xp. I've killed vicars at SE corner, Templars at gallows and steps, and t4 High Priests at Gallows and south wall.
I've not seen the priest Crest drop EVEN once. In that time, i've seen 2 Int Caster crests..
Anyone else having insane rare drop rates for the quest? At this point, the cleric, druid and shaman i usually go up with have all the parts (thru #4) EXCEPT the crest..

My group has been working Hate now for 3 weeks straight 10 hours a day at least. We have killed Priest Crest mobs near gallows, along back south wall, and some in the SE corner. I lost count of how many but at least several hundred priest and not one damn Crest.
So far in the time we have been there we have gotten the following Crests to drop. 5 Soldier, 3 Knight, 16 Sorcerer and ZERO PRIEST.
It's one messed up quest, with caster mobs getting a easy go of it for sure.
We have petitioned and Bug reported, but hell will freeze before they do anything.
Update: we spent 5 days along back wall doing High priests thinking it would drop more on the harder mobs but it doesn't. We moved to SE area doing Vicers and Veng Golems to see if any better luck in that area but after 2 days still nothing.

The Etched Priest's crest dropped the same day from one of the wandering Highpriests of Hate, I lost count of how many of those we killed. But yes the priest drops are much rarer than all the others, I just wanted you to know they do drop and don't give up hope.
When all else fails just sacrifice the group's monk, works like a charm up there.

no way you can do this quest if youre kos to tunare right?

Faction with Tunare shouldn't be an issue, since the quest givers are antonican bards and not Tunare. They say when you talk to them that they don't care if you agree with their politics or soemthing like that implying that anybody can do the quest regardless of faction.... so I don't think you'll have a problem.

Anyone have a link or stats on this reward: Gem of Piety? It's used in the 3rd part of quest, which is sweet....
