Syllina will make shadowbound armor for necromancers. She makes 3 kinds: boots, gloves and a robe. In addition, she will tell you how to make shadow silk for 50gp. This is made through the tailoring skill, so you either have to learn tailoring or have to buy it from a tailor.

You could always buy a vial of Prismatic Dye from the Bazaar and dye your hat black.

is this sceptre the same one also found on the floor of one of the rooms near the entrance of Lower Guk? I found a NECRO only NODROP sceptre on the floor up in a room that spirals beyond a waterfall when in Lower Guk once and thought it was this item. Take a left down the first fork of hallways when you get into Lower Guk land entrance, the hall leads up to this room. Go check it out if you wanna know if its the right sceptre, i cant be sure.
No, they are two different sceptres. The one in Lower Guk is for the Shadowbound Gloves. You need the one from Mistmoore (which is very easy to get) for this quest.
Yeah on this page it lists the Scepter as both the Scepter of Shadows and Scepter of Sorrow. It is really ID'd as the Scepter of Sorrow (don't think a shadow version even exists), which you get in Mistmoore by handing the flower on the coffin to the named Shadowed man standing behind the crypt. I believe the scepter of sorrow also works with the Wizard's weeping wand quest from what i've been reading.

i think shadow silk is the same difficulty as raw silk. My skill is only 30 something and i make shadow silk without a problem.

which merchant sells all the stuff for sadow silk or sells shadow silk
no merchant sells the shadow wolf hide (or skins or pelt). they drop random in ec, nec forest and misty thicket. I personally like the misty thicket because spiders are more common than nec, and get the silks there too. being erudite, i buy my spell gather shadows in painele. i have 36 on my tailoring skill, and no fail on both attempts.

there is nothing named Shadowbound robe.. its Robe of Enshroudment (or somthing like that)

anyone else noticed that the average price for the silk is 750pp, while the average price for the gloves that you require the silk for is only 90? :)

im a 25 necro. should i start doing this quest? i already have to skeleton toe. am I too low to start or could i do it with my guild's help?

i am also lvl 25 necro. i have some of the things needed for the sb gloves and boots...the hard part is definitely going to be the shadow'd man camps. probly not hurt to use my upper lvl druid to clear camp and let the necro loot the stuffs needed. all else, thus far since not much add is easy enough. got finger and toe from same mob in rathe near succor landing. the sceptor of tears was fairly easy when i walked...all live mobs in site, none in agro range. the next of course is this sceptor...wish me luck.

Hehe. To make shadow silk you will need a tailor or be very good in tailoring. The components are:
Boots- 1 silk swatch + 1 shadow wolf pelt + 1 scroll of gather shadows.
Robe- 1 silk swatch + 2 shadow wolf pelts + 1 scroll of gather shadows.
Gloves- 1 silk swatch + 1 shadow wolf pelt + 2 scrolls of gather shadows.
I don't know how high your skill must be.

Your tailor skill doesn't need to be very high. I think making these silks trivials at the same time as Raw Silk does.

I have found every shadow part I needed for all shadowbound armor quests and the harvester in Innothule Swamp, though I think all the different locations drop all items randomly.

I notice in the image for the item, the Iksar seem to be left out of the allowable races that can wear this item? I was wondering if anyone knew whether this was actually the case, or is this just an old image? I have an Iksar necro that is about ready to start this quest, and would be very disappointed if it turned out that we could *NOT* wear it.....

Iksar can wear this armor, but this pic must have beeen preKunark so the iksar couldnt be included b/c they dont yet exist at the time of this pic.

The sceptre of Sorrow is found in the Mistmoore graveyard. Behind the crypt, a renegade shadowman wizard stands (as usual, it's just a floating book). Hail him, and he will ask you to fetch a flower from the crypt for him. Get into the crypt and there will be a flower on the sarcophagus. Hand the flower to Ssynthi, and he'll give you +faction with SolusekRo and -Shadowmen, no XP, and a nodrop "a Sceptre". The Sceptre identifies as Sceptre of Sorrow.
