There are ten Liber Brassica books in the game written in various languages. Together, they give details on how to craft Xanthe's Earring of Nature (named after the first person to discover the recipe, Xanthe Ravenwolf). The recipe also yields the 59th level druid spell Protection of the Cabbage (named for a long-running inside joke with the EQ community).

Combine the following nine ingredients in a forge or New Tanaan Forge (no-fail combine, only use one of each):

* Demi-Sec Champagne
* Mistletoe Cutting Sickle
* Golden Idol of Tunare
* Blessed Fishing Rod
* Star Ruby Encrusted Stein
* Ceremonial Solstice Robe
* Lotus Pie
* Misty Thicket Picnic
* Lucky Cabbage

The ingredients each take high tradeskill ability to craft, but they're also droppable, so they can be purchased from other players if necessary.

The results are Xanthe's Earring of Nature (DRU/ALL), and Protection of the Cabbage, a 59th level druid-only spell. If you are not a druid, go see Rebecca Cabbageleaf in Fungus Grove at -1449.70, -803.12, -276.99.

You say, 'Hail, Rebecca Cabbageleaf'

Rebecca Cabbageleaf seems lost in thought and looks up only briefly from her work. 'Oh, hello ______, welcome to the New Thicket Inn! If you'll excuse me, I'm a bit busy copying this [scroll]. I'll be with you in a moment to chat, or to trade if you've come about the [earring]'

You say, 'What earring?'

Rebecca Cabbageleaf looks up again, 'Oh, have you come about the earring then? That's wonderful! As you probably know, the druids have recently completed an ancient ceremony, and some delightful people who weren't druids were able to participate. Sadly though, only druid's were able to use the Earrings of Nature that were created with the ceremony. I've been collecting spare earrings of Nature from those who can't use them, and giving an Earring of the Solstice in return. It's a good deal all around, as we both can benefit from the trade. If you have an earring of Nature to trade, just give it to me and I'll happily swap you, and if you don't like it, you can give it back.'

Give her your Xanthe's Earring of Nature to receive an Earring of the Solstice (ALL/ALL).

I know I can buy all the stuffs in bazaar, but is there any level and faction restriction for this quest? I am a 40 halfling druid. I also don't know where is lady. Is it safe to get here without be attacked by mob, since Fungus grove is a too high lvl zone for me. Buy the way do I need to go to anywhere to initiate this quest?

Yes you can do it. All you have to do is get all the items and combine in a forge. Can't fail the combine

One quest (series of quests) would be the coldain ring or shawl quests in Thurgadin.

Doing the quest due to I was a pally (and the FT I itself that I wanted...), I found that you can forge them at the horses' stables in Bazaar. Yes truly it is a no-fail item.

Can a Druid get to her by casting Egress?
# Jul 25 2003 at 11:57 AM Rating: Decent
I read an article on another site and that person said they just cast egress while in this zone and it takes them right to her. Anyone have any info on this if it's correct?
Is there a specific type of forge?
# Jul 24 2003 at 10:13 AM Rating: Decent
The quest says 'Combine the following nine ingredients in a forge' - is it any forge that has the word forge on it or something else? I know that there are lots of forge's around in many different areas and zones and I have not had a need to use one before. Just getting as much info as possible before I do this.

Any regular forge, the type that just says "forge" at the top.

Be careful not to use a cultural forge "freeport forge, Troll forge" etc.
grrr

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 26 2003 at 9:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You need all 9 items. Did you eat something? The combine worked fine for me and it even raised my smithing to (4). It's a no-fail combine with all the needed items, I don't even think you could do it with less than 9 but looks like it sucks to be you.

It's easy to buy the components without having to buy the whole kit from one person...I got mine yesterday (6/10/03) for around 3300pp from buying single items from various people...I needed four more items, got them from one person who said they sell the whole kit for 4.5 kpp. Got the Earring of Solstice and thinking of doing it again for Xanthe's earring, not too bad of a set.

Excel spreadsheet

I saw a spreadsheet somebody put together once where it had colors for each skill and then had all the sub-combines all in one spreadsheet with location for vendors and trivials and all. Does anybody know where I can get a link to that again?
