Cedric Trallus may be found in the Stonebrunt Mountains in the tents east of the zoneline to Gulf of Gunthak at -4445, -3400.

You say, 'Hail, Cedric Trallus'

Cedric Trallus says 'Hello ______, chancing a journey to Brokenskull are you? Many have ventured there, but few have returned. I was favored by the will of Thule to return here in one piece, although I would not call my [journey] exactly successful.'

You say, 'What journey?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Our spies in Erudin were able to learn that a voyage of Deepwater knights was setting sail in search of Brokenskull Island. Our priests in Paineel had received several visions from the lord Cazic telling of great powers that might be found on this island. Our group was instructed to follow their ship across the waters and explore the island should we find it. Find it they did, and more then they ever bargained for on that [cursed isle].'

You say, 'What cursed isle?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Just as the Deepwater knights were about to drop anchor near a small cove on the island, we attacked them. The magic cloaks we had placed over our ship did their job all too well. We took them by surprise and our forces easily overpowered them, but our battle was joined by a [third force].'

You say, 'What third force?'

Cedric Trallus says 'A group of strange creatures crawled up the side of the boats and began to attack everyone on both sides. They cut through many of us before we were able to retreat our forces back to our ship and turn our sails away from the island. Several of the creatures pursued us through the water with amazing speed. We fought them off and we forced them back into the sea. We were able to slay one of them, or so we thought. We brought the [body] back to Paineel for the priests to study.'

You say, 'What body?'

Cedric Trallus says 'When we docked here in Paineel we were carrying the body off of the ship when suddenly the creature came to life. It threw several of our knights into the water and then jumped in himself and swam off into the ocean. We suspect that it used some form of magic to fool us into believing it was actually dead. The necromancers of Paineel are not easily fooled in matters of life and death. We greatly desire to study the [organs] of these creatures to learn the secret of this new magic.'

You say, 'What organs?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Bring me two samples of these creatures internal organs for our priests to study and we may share the secret of their magic with you. Something tells me you won't come back alive though.'

Hand him 2 x Luggald Organs (not parts, which are a different item for a different quest). You can get these in Dulak. After zoning in from Gunthak, to the left is a "wooden wall" or ship. This hides a secret entrance into some tunnels. In these tunnels is a 3-way bridge, and this is where the organs dropped.

Necromancers receive the spell "Auspice." Shadowknights receive the spell "Blood of Pain."

You gain experience!!

Cedric Trallus takes the organs from you and lays them down on the ground before him. He begins to slice and separate the organs from one another with a wicked looking dagger. Dark blue blood stains his robe as he probes the strange flesh. Finally after several minutes he smiles and pulls a parchment from a bag at this side and begins to draw several runes using the dark blue blood. 'Take this, I have discovered the secret of their magic, or so I believe. Of course it might not work and you'll end up actually dead, but we'll never know till you try will we?'

As you take the scroll from him you notice a sickly burning odor in the air. You glance down at Cedric's robes and notice several holes beginning to form where the blood touches his [robes].

You say, 'What is happening to your robes?'

Cedric Trallus glances at the burns in his robes inquisitively. 'It seems an aspect of the luggald's system is acidic in nature. Perhaps we have yet to find the secret of their comatose state. I'll need more samples to continue my research. This time bring me purified samples of their bile, blood, and saliva and I will study them.'

These are random drops off various luggalds. Handing in the three items:

Cedric Trallus takes the vials and holds them out in front of him. He begins to recite an incantation and the vials rise and float in the air in front of him. He ontinues to chant as each of the vials begins to glow and then grow dim in turn. Cedric picks up a large potion bottle and places a rolled piece of parchment inside. He then holds it before him causing it to float in the air as well. Each of the first three vials floats over the potion bottle and a distinct amount of each liquid is poured in, causing it to bubble and shake. Cedric reaches out before him and takes the bottle from the air and hands it to you.

You receive a Glowing dark blue potion.

Cedric Trallus says 'Fear is a weapon to be used against your enemies, ______, but we can not afford to let it cloud our judgment as well. Drink the potion and new power will energize your being.'

The potion has the effect Luggald Blood, which causes 300 hps of damage and summons a copy of Spell: Comatose.

I did the turn ins at level 43. I made 3 yellow bubbles. The organs can be found around the 3 way bridge. Then go north through to tunnel to the first right and go down that tunnel to a large room. The Blood, Saliva and Bile can be found in this room.

At lvl 52 I have almost made a full level of standard XP by hunting for any of the drops in the rooms near the enraged soulstealer spawn. FYI nothing dropped there other than luggald flesh.
Will update after trying other spots as posted above/below.

And remember I am "More KoS than you"

edit: Bridge area seemed to be a regular organs drop spot...definitely first cavern on right after crossing long bridge for bile, blood, saliva

The door is in reference to the Luggald Caves in Dulak. Refer EQ Atlas map and note the label Luggald Caves. Then refer to this map for the 3-way bridge in the caves (left / west of the A).

Captain's Room has all 3
# Apr 12 2008 at 12:22 PM Rating: Decent
Camped the *Captain's Room* at the end of the tunnels, waterfall area. All 3 (blood, saliva, and bile) dropped in fairly equal amounts. Couple hours of clearing the end room and the stair area leading into it and had 5 sets before I ran out of room in packs. Never did get the named Incantator to pop tho.

Just a small note: For Comatose you only require one bile, one blood, and one saliva.

I thought you needed several and found out that you cant turn in another set and get another spell if you turn in organs. And Luggald Blood if you turn in bile, blood, saliva.... NO additional experiance though.

took a chance - you CAN skip the first part and do only the second half of this quest by starting the conversation with "What is happening to your robe". After several days I had several bile, blood and saliva but NO organs and decided to take a chance. WOOT!
Finally got the saliva
# Jan 31 2007 at 7:53 AM Rating: Decent
Got the organs off the mobs on and near the bridge, got the Bile,Blood in the room with the tile floor and water fall with the two pools, hunted for a couple days here to try and get the saliva with no luck, then I ask someone in the zone if they knew where saliva drops. Take the tunnel to the right AFTER you cross the bride, it will go back to a large open room (cave) go all the way to the back wall edge and set up camp. Got the saliva off a Blackblood Nightmare but was told they drop of all mobs in this area. Got the Blood and Bile off Servants of Hate and Emmisary's on the tile foor.
Hope this helps someone else....Good luck
Finally got the saliva

I completed this quest at L48. Completed both Auspice and Comotose at the same time that is. I received 40% XP for both spells. It's worth doing early if you can get a group to go to Dulak with you.

The saliva, bile and blood dropped from the area around the north-most room.

It took a couple hours of killing everything in sight with a couple high level friends helping.

The saliva was the most common and the bile was the last item to drop. Lots of jewels dropped and the tridents make great pet weapons.

Did the first part of this quest 29 Oct, 2005 and got 2 organ drops off the same mob on 1 respawn cycle. Cross the 3 way bridge....where it ends there are 2 spawns there, one seemed to be a constant Hatebringer Initiate spawn (the SK version of luggards) posted on the right side of the bridge end.....He dropped an organ each time. Watch for roamers coming towards you from the tunnel ahead, as well as the cleric version of the luggard posted on the left side of the bridge with him. I'll follow up this post as i finish with the 2nd part of this quest.

if you need the organ's you need to camp them on three way bridge, dont know why but for some reason that is the best spot. there are three or four 'servant's of hate' that roam onto the bridge, kill them & YOU WILL get organ's NP.

I found all components in caves way in back.I went into dulak through hidden entrance invis of course and straight back way back to the big room.thing I went through 2 doorways(no doors).I went down steps and right to the right of steps I set up camp.Single pulled from there and medded there when needed. It only took me about 10 kills to get all things needed (saliva, blood, bile)Seemes like they dropped of emmisary.I'm a 58 necro and soloed them with no problem.I just doomed sent pet dotted and aggro kited.ran back and forth along wall so I wouldnt get any adds.Did the turn in and got almost 1 full yellow bubble on AA.Not bad!And the spell comatose. Now time to try it out.

oK I just completed this quest. What happened to me is i read the other posts here and came up with nothing the first 2 times hunting for the organs in the first room to the right. I did however go to the very end room in the tunnels(past the bridge but not past the big door so its actually second to last room) and got all 3 of the other drops the bile, blood and saliva to drop off these mobs. Then just out of morbid curiosity went to Cedric in SB and did the hail thing and followed the dialogue. Went back into the luggald caves to the first room on the right and within 30 minutes had both of the organs. not sure if it was just a fluke or if it actually kicked the server when i did that and made them start dropping the organs. But it worked and thats my story
DONE!!
# Feb 13 2005 at 7:54 PM Rating: Decent
well i just heard about the spell comatose and when i saw it was a good sk feign death spell i went on a search, finally i found what i had to do and went on a mission with my guild, we lead a raid into the deep under body of the luggald mines. Finally from my research on the item drop we start in the room before the high mob. dark blood Assassin drop bile, blood, & saliva off them at a 80% drop rate & are randomly drop so you may get double so bring another sk friend or necro to get the spell together, also the other mobs in the room will drop the bile&blood & saliva every so offen. Now to find the organs, you just have to go to the first little tunnle in the mines as you first come in on the right, after 20 to 30 mins i had gotten 4 organs two for me & two for my guildie who was also wanting it. well that my 2cp for this quest, its very fun.....

MQable
# Jan 06 2005 at 5:12 PM Rating: Decent
Did a successful MQ of Comatose with the wife today, after she LD'ed on the last drop she needed. Since I was playing my Shadow Knight questing the same spell, the NPC would obviously accept it, and did. If you read up on the LoY haste neck for the pure melees, it seems that it works if the reward is usable by the person doing the MQ. As for any other class doing the MQ, use at your own risk.
XP TOO?
# Oct 26 2004 at 3:05 PM Rating: Decent
Not sure how this worked out but at lvl 52 upon turning in bile, blood and saliva I received 10% regular xp was a big surprise. I a hume necro though. Also it was trivial for me but didn't die soloing this had a couple close calls. If you invis you can bypass everything go into second room and in the far right corner there is enough room to pull 3 mobs as singles, then you can start breaking them up took about 36 total kills to get my 3 pieces. Before this I hunted down by entrance and cleared first room with nothing more than flesh drops got all my drops in second room.
Got It!!
# Apr 29 2004 at 1:58 AM Rating: Default
Finally got mine, about 3 hours camping in the second last room, didnt feel like going into the last room behind the door.

All yah do is invis, run to the end of the luggard tunnels, goto the far right corner of the second last room, get pet goin, start killin, once yah clear the top section of the room, it is easy, make sure yah leave a minute or so between kills so they dont pop on yah unprepared, about 20 minute respawn, didnt time it exactly. You can aggro kite to your hearts content, use that manna skin spell too, invaluable for close quarters aggro kiting when yah have to run past mob occasionally.

Was using casc.dark, env.bolt, asystole, and bond as dots, mob went down without any recasts, just gotta be careful if dark runs out near death and it aggros another mob...

Oh, this is for the blood, bile and saliva, the luggards near the entrance to tunnels drop the organs...
