Tome of Dark Power

This quest starts on the top floor of the library in the Plane of Knowledge, in the council chamber.
You say, 'Hail, Councilman Srethix' Councilman Srethix regards you with narrow eyes, then smiles. 'Greetings. I am Councilman Srethix of Kartis. It is good to see some new visitors to our little corner of the cosmos. I certainly hope you can find what you are looking for here in the Myrist library. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that I am quite busy seeking some rare books at the moment, and I do not have much time for light conversation. Otherwise, I believe my aid Garuuk may have some chores he could use help with. That is, if you feel up to it.' You say, 'What rare books?' Councilman Srethix glares at Garuuk and turns back to you. 'You are interested in a job seeking knowledge, yes? Very well, I think I may have something suitable for you. I happen to be seeking an ancient tome containing some valuable information about artifacts of power. I have learned this book is somewhere in our very own library but so far Garuuk has been unable to locate it. Find me the Tome of Dark Power and I may see what other jobs I can pass along to you.' The book he speaks of is the "Locked Tome of Dark Power" -- a ground spawn at +50, +1050, -60 (bottom of a shelf, behind the tilted book. It is a small leather book hanging off the shelf above. The book case you are looking for is on the two floors down from the main floor, opposite NPC Bindral Argaff (Legendary Enchanter Illusions)). Return this book to Srethix. Councilman Srethix says 'Very impressive, this little tome has eluded my aid for quite some time now. How good of you to discover its whereabouts and bring it to me. But from the looks of it, this book has a strong, magically-sealed lock upon its cover. I wonder if Elder Tal Almad would know how to break it? Take this to him in the Plane of Tranquility and let him have a look at it. If he can open it, bring it back to me.' Go into the Plane of Tranquility and find Elder Tal Almad. Elder Tal Almad says 'Welcome traveler, are you here to meet with someone or are you new to this place?' You say, 'I am here to meet with someone.' (Doesn't look like you have to talk to him really.) Elder Tal Almad says 'Well then, if you do not need my assistance, I will continue my work. May you find that which you seek.' Give him the Locked Tome of Dark Power. Elder Tal Almad looks the book over carefully, 'This is a most interesting find indeed. You seek to break the seal that surrounds this tome? This may take some time, please be patient.' As he waves his hand over the lock and mumbles a few syllables, the clasp instantly falls open. With a surprised look he says, 'That was odd, the seal was easier to break then I thought it would be. It's almost. . . Well, it's almost as if the book had a will to be opened. I sense much power inside this tome, you best be careful with it.' He hands the book back to you. You receive an Unlocked Tome of Dark Power. Head back to the Plane of Knowledge and give it to Srethix. Councilman Srethix says 'It's good to see my instincts about the Elder were correct.' He opens the book, begins thumbing through the pages, and frowns. 'What's this? Some pages are missing, eight of them to be exact. I'm afraid this book will be of no use to me without those pages. You can have it. I wonder what happened to them, whomever had this book before must have removed them for some reason. If you find the missing pages somewhere, be sure to close them up inside the book and return it to me. ' You receive an Unfinished Tome of Dark Power. The book is a container at this point so have a slot open. Casting the spell Identify reveals "Item Lore: Missing pages 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, and 19.." The Pages of Dark Power drop randomly in tier one Planes (i.e., Disease, Nightmare, Innovation, Justice). Combine the pages in the unfinished tome to craft a Tome of Dark Power. Give this to Srethix. Councilman Srethix grins wickedly. 'You have done excellently. The tome will now serve my purposes. You may take this as a reward.' He pauses for a moment and continues, 'This task you have performed shows your confidence, patience, and the best of all, determination. Perhaps someday you would consider applying yourself to serve as an aid by my side? I can clearly see you have quite a broad spectrum of usefulness. I wonder why the missing pages are all prime numbers...
It's missing the first 8 prime numbered pages. But it could just be a mistake. Someone might have ripped out every other page and just missed the 9th and 15th :-)
2 is only divisible by 1 and itself. The definition of a prime number. Who says you don't learn anything in school. hehe
*EDIT* I found all of the pages in PoI. Dropped off random mobs. Rare chance for the page to drop. Seemed the higher lvl the mob the better the chance for a drop.

Yep, 2 is the only even prime numer.
A prime number is a number greater than 1 that can only be divided into an integer by 1 and itself.
I forget why 1 isn't a prime. A teacher told me once but the fact hasn't been needed so it was forgotten. I think it had something to do with composite numbers and/or the fact 1 is defined as multiplicative identity.

For a number to be prime, it has to satisfy the conditions that it be greater than 1 and it be only divisible by the number 1 and itself.
1 is not a prime number because 1 is not greater than 1.

Something to do with the fact that 1 is only divisible by itself. "Only divisible by 1 and itself" suggests that 1 and itself are two different numbers, which isn't the case with 1. So 1 is excluded from the definition of a prime number.
The bit of your reason I think is part of it too. Actually I think I just had a different way of explaining the same thing, hehe.

I ganked Pgs 2, 3, 7, 11 & 13 out of the Plane of Innovation the other night.
Someone mused to me that the result of this quest is the Cloak of the Wise...although seeing that it is not no drop, I am not sure how true this may be.

Find Minstrel Cirsaelle, then run West to the corner (right) there are no NPC's in this corner. Now face the South bookcase, bottom shelf, under slanting book (loc pos 53 pos 1054 neg 60 ... as previously posted)

Helped a guy locate the book the other night (one floor down from where you enter the library at the loc listed in the quest write up), it can be hard to spot under the slanted book at times. He had 5 of the 8 pages and had gotten all of them in PoD so it looks like they drop on all the "newbie" planes at random.

Locked tome of dark power is located at pos 53 pos 1054 neg 60 on bottom shelf. It is almost an instant repop after taken. Or at least it was.

im not sure but i think the book has a 30 min respawn time so someone probly picked it up before you

went to the floor and loc as indicated after talking to councilman sethrik, but couldn't find the book. so i searched all over the library starting at the first floor and worked my way up and still can not find this book. as of now, i have 3 of the 8 pages that are missing that dropped in PoN, but i am still searching for the book in the library.
if anyone else has any info on this, please post your info.
