This quest provides alternate access to the Crypt of Decay, aka the Ruins of Lxanvom.

You say, 'Hail, Grimror Plaguebringer'

Grimror Plaguebringer says 'Grimror no have time ta talk. Gots stuffs ta do.'

You say, 'What stuffs?'

Grimror Plaguebringer says 'I wuz sent here by Zulort to, err. . . To gadder some alchemy type stuffs. Him have big plan, and need me to travel lots.'

You say, 'What big plan?'

Grimror Plaguebringer laughs. 'Me not tell you dat! Grimror keep secrets secret. You gonna help Grimror or no?'

You say, 'I will help Grimror'

Grimror Plaguebringer says 'Dat good!

Grimror Plaguebringer says, 'Grimror been getting compon ents for dayz now and Grimror still not finushed. You gonna get dem tings fur me?'

You say, 'What about dem tings?'

Grimror Plaguebringer used to answer 'Grimror need bile, dat stuff es strong here! But Grimror keent seem to git eet all. Bile comz from da leetle bugs. Keel little bugs, and geeve Grimror dere leetel bodiez and Grimror give yuuz anyting dat yuuz want. Dere be four leetel buggiez dat Grimror still neez, seegeen, scaveen, genereen, and harroon. Yuuz bring Grimror dere skinz and Grimror geeve you anyting yuuz want.'

Whilst that information about needing Larvae Flesh from Sengian, Scaevian, Generian, and Harrion Larvae is still correct, Grimror now answers:

Grimror Plaguebringer says, 'Grimror need bile, dat stuff es strong here! But Grimror keent seem to git eet all. Bile comz from da leetle bugs. Keel little bugs, and geeve Grimror dere leetel bodiez and Grimror give yuuz anyting dat yuuz want. Dere on four leetel buggiez dat Grimror still neez, two uf dem come from da fliez, one comez from da wurmiez, and one comez from the moss-skeeterz. Yuuz bring Grimror dere lavas and Grimror geeve yuuz, and yuuz freends, anyting yuuz want'

Hand in the four Larvae Flesh:

Grimror Plaguebringer says, 'Yuuz dun guud! But Grimror keent geeve you anyting, but Grimror have dis. Grimror also have seekret information. Krypt of Deekay in in here. Dunt tink yuuz wanna go in dere. Dere be mean old rotten keengs in dere, yuuz dunt want ta mess wif dem, dere also be udder sortz uf baddies in dere, be carefuul if yuuz goin dat way. Him have key ta get inna de Krypt, but Grimror knew da seekret way een. Dat bracer keen make da portil into de Krypt tink dat yuuz belongz dere. Guud barshin!'

Also have this from forums to help

1. Harrion Larva (PHs : 3 Malarian Larva )
2. Sengian Larva (PHs : 3 Tachnian Caterpillar)
3. Scaevian Larva (PHs : 3 Tsetsian Pupa)
4. Generian Larva (PHs : 3 Planarian Larva)

After handing the four types of flesh, and right before he says the "Yuuz dun guud!" speech, you get a yellow text saying:

"Bangle of Disease warding has been added to your keyring.
Your group has had keys added to their keyrings!"

If you are soloing this key, as long as you invite others to your group prior to handing the fleshes in, they should get the flag. I am unsure if they have to be in the same zone or not.

I did this while leveling my 54 (now 55) shaman. Invited a 62 warrior to PoD from my guild to get the flag and we did not get the AA. We got the bangle and stat upgrade to the charm (my first so it went to 9hp). Wonder if its bugged or is there something else I have to do?
AA Point?
# Nov 03 2004 at 12:25 PM Rating: Decent
Does this still give one AA point? I completed it today,a dn did not get the AA point. I did not go in the crypt yet, is that what I need to do? I did zone, and I still did not get it.
RE: AA Point?
# Dec 10 2004 at 12:20 AM Rating: Decent
Well, I did the PoD planar progression (kill Grummus) tonight and I did not get an AA point from it. I had previously done this quest however. I assume that you can only get 1 AA from either this quest or the planar progression quest.

it still works
# Oct 28 2004 at 9:35 AM Rating: Decent
I did this yesterday with the guild(the date was Oct. 27th 2004 started it on the 26th)!! Just followed the advice from the other posts and worked out great. It took me 2 days about 6 to 7 hours total over the 2 days. 3 classes u need is a tracker a cleric and CC. after that get anyting u wantthat makes you feel safe! Agro there is crazy. swamp rats seem to be the worst.

The turn in's are still the 4 larva. no skeeters or anything else just the 4 larva! Just to make everyone feel batter IT is MQ able and yes the group gets the aa point (aftre telling your stories to the Dwarf, and every one gets the charm boost!! A very nice one as a matter of fact. frist boost I got and it doubled in power!!

question i got my wood figurine after i told the stories of my POJ trial. is the boost already on it or do i have to redo the Trial again???

Not surehow the ac works on the bangle i placed it in bag then into a inventroy slot then into the bank and ac stayed the same?? but i do love my clicky RD

Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know if anyone's done this quest fairly recently. I did it once about half a year ago, in about a day and a half. Now I'm doing it again, and I'm not getting anywhere. The changes in PoD from the last time I did it confused me in the beginning, but I got the hang of the new larva graphics after a bit.

I spent an entire day quadding/kiting/rootandrotting the planarian larva, and no named popped. I don't remember it taking even a fraction of that long for any of the 4 last time I did it. And no i was not killing only larvae by mistake :).

My question is, is this busted, or am I just having a really bad day?

I did the turn in to Grimror on June 26th. We all got the key "Grimror's Bracer grants access to the Ruins of Lxanvom."

Those of us who had not already killed Grummus got an AA but those who had already killed Grummus didn't (which makes sense.)

Regardless, this quest is still working.

Did it 2 months ago, works great gives AA and charm point for the whole group.

The info posted is accurate it just takes for ever. A tracker makes it much easier

You still have to kill grummus if u want progression though.

Planar Progression?
# Mar 30 2004 at 6:20 PM Rating: Default
I know this grants access to the Crypt of Decay, but is it access like the alternate Tactics flag, or does this count towards further planar progression so that killing Grummus is not necessary?
RE: Planar Progression?
# Apr 28 2004 at 11:42 AM Rating: Decent
this is seperate to the planer progression and has nothing to do with it, you still need to kill Grummus, after you kill him you need to enter Codecay from the PoD entrance to finish your flag

this quest has nothing, Zero to do with planer progression.
Finding the bugs
# Dec 10 2003 at 1:58 PM Rating: Default
As has been mentioned in several previous posts, most of the larva are found underground. THis leaves you with a couple options of getting them.. the first and most common way is to aggro the spot and pull anything there. unfortuneately this usually results in taking a few hundred point of damage and maybe getting stunned. The easiest way, is to have your tracker get over the location and type /target a_malarian_larva (insert appropriate PH or named). once you do that, pull back to a safer spot, have someone paci/lull/harmony the mobs, and then pull the one you want. Only thing you really have to worry about is the Water/Land targeting issue.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 24 2003 at 10:47 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I also found that all of the Planarian Larva are under the world.
Mob under the world
# Jul 23 2003 at 10:13 PM Rating: Decent
Ok I had a problem tonight with the Harrion Larva. First of all the larva don't seem to spawn at all. They show on tracking but are under the world. So i killed the Malarian Crysalis and sure enough she dropped like 4 of them in my lap. After killing all of them I went back and repulled her (she had returned to spawn spot) and kiled her. About 10 minutes later I am overjoyed to see the Harrion on track. I go there and it is under the world again. I tried to pull the mob that spawned on the Crysalis spot which was named Malarian Gall thinking it woudl drop the babies like the Crysalis did but instead she summoned me and whumped me a few tiems for 379, I ran away adn she summoned me and whumpoed a couple more 379s. I hit Exodus. The Harrion is still sitting there under the world 6 hours later. No clue what to do to fix this or how it got broken. Looks like I have to wait until next server reset unless someone has an idea.
RE: Mob under the world
# Sep 01 2004 at 1:34 AM Rating: Decent
Often when i am tracking mobs i find they are stuck under the world, and my fix has always worked for me. Earthquake, or similar AE.
RE: Mob under the world
# Apr 02 2004 at 10:59 PM Rating: Decent
Realize I'm a little late in responding but in case anyone else had a simliar problem...if you can't aggro by just being close enough, try sitting. If sitting doesn't work, snare any other larva close by and drag it over the spot your track is pointing to. If I can't get proximity aggro, I can always get assist aggro.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 21 2003 at 9:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Been there. Done That. Just get close enough to aggro any of the underground Larva. They'll attack. Just watch out for the adds.

Think i just figured it out hehe, thanks to Pterk. They didn't change the quest, they just tried to help you out by telling you WHERE the worms spawn.

If you ever have tried to complete some of this quest, you know you have to camp a worm near the flies, one by the skeeters.. and etc. Grimror says "two flies, one worm, one moss-skeeter".. or something like that, sooo... the quest hasn't changed :)

Completed this quest last night (I know, COD flag no longer required, but I did it for the improved stats to PoP flag charm). Spent about 6 hours killing the damn slippery worms. In that time we got 3 Generian, 2 Scaevian, 1 Sengian and 1 Harrion.

Turned in Harrion, Generian, Sengian and Scaevian Flesh to receive the Bangle of Disease Warding. Everyone in group was flagged and then able to get PoP flag charm with improved stats and an AA point, even if they had no other flags prior to the recent patch which opened up the PoP zones.

Have just noticed the quest has changed. I have only killed 5 flies so far and have yet to see anything drop. I have some of the old larva skins....wonder if that quest is still good. Will post again on finds!

EDIT: Yes quest is the same, khaoishung ( nice name =p ) has a VERY accurate thread....follow that and you will get your flag too. The sengian took me several spawn cycles to get him to spawn...they all pretty much spawn around the same area though

This quest has changed as of the flagging patch. Grimror now asks for "leetle bugs" from two flies, one mosquito, and a "wormie."

Does anyone know what you have to collect?

I believe I've seen 'a diseased malarian' drop an item called a larvae that may be way Grimror needs, but I'm not sure if my memory is serving me true.

I'd like to do this quest, but I don't know what to hunt.

Broken!?
# May 06 2003 at 11:20 PM Rating: Default
The original quest can be confirmed to be broken. Go to Grimror and tell him the same things that the above quest says, but, rather than ask for the skins of various worms...he asks for 2 pieces from flies, 1 from "skeeterz" and 1 from worms...

I have no idea what he is talking about...but I am gonna try farming flies, worms, etc for them.

Regarding the old 4 flesh quest, I got 3 of them EXCEPT harrion...I tried camping it on the middle peanut island with a group and killed about 20 malarian larvaes to get the harrion to spawn...but nothing. This leads me to believe that:
A) I have horrible luck
B) This mob does not spawn anymore due to the change in the quest.

Of course, I can't be sure, but can anyone confirm this for me?
RE: Broken!?
# May 30 2003 at 8:37 PM Rating: Default
I have been swarm kiting the flies for about 8 levels + 6 aa's over the past week or two, and I've seen & killed the Harrion larvae 3 times. I haven't done any of the rest of the quest yet though.
RE: Broken!?
# May 07 2003 at 5:50 AM Rating: Default
We went there on Sunday evening (4th may) with the intention of camping this one, and lo and behold the little bugger marched straight across the little spur of land that stretches almost to the wall.

Flagged for CoD now.... :)

Finished this last night. Could not MQ as of 5/4/03.
I had 3 skins, another in the group had 1. Grum said something like "Dis not bes four!" and gave the skins back.
We hunted some more and I got the fourth skin. Turned in and group got keyed. Did not affect anyone else in raid mode.

Completed the quest today, the larva's that dropped the pieces are still the same and can be found in the same places. The wording is changed and may indicate future changes, not sure. Also you get group flagged when u turn in pieces, wonder if you were in raid mode if whole raid would get flagged?, something to try if anyone has time :)

Ok I have done this quest last night and it still works. Duo with 61 Druid friend for all pieces. Can be MQ'ed. Not too sure about this flagging for whole grp if you hand it in as a grp though. Too late for me to try now anyway :p

All named larva's drop the skin and on occasion (50% of time I think) an etheral parchy. As stated by all they don't cast and don't summon.

Harrion:
- PH are malarian larva found near the fly camps (hang right from GY). What a pain in the *** this one was. Just kill all the PH's on the 2 islands but trick is not to get adds from the flies and swamp rats. Harmony and sometimes pacify works on em. Once all done, pull larva and wait for Harrion to pop.

Generian / Sengian:
- PH for Generian are planarian larva found near the middle of zone. PH for Sengian are tachnian caterpillars left from the bone entrance of the castle. Suggest you hang around at half way point btw the NW corner and bone entrance and pull. Remember it's LARVA not larvae as PH's.

Scaevian:
- PH for Scaevian are tsetian pupa's (not PUPAL's). Just wait near the NW corner for PH and kill em all until scaevian pops. To kill time while no PH's are up pull some pulsing's as well (be careful to harmony / pacify or you get add city (there is always 4 pulsings in one dome)

Once you have all 4, just hand it into Grimor and get your bangle. Not too bad for insta clicky resist disease and mana free too. Of course the real plus is key to CoD.

More satisfying that zerging Grummus these days.

Hope this info helps.

Cheers,
Duke Khoa Von'Darkangelis

EDIT : Aye it does flag the whole grp - the person handing in gets the bangle but WHOLE grp gets flagged

Just did this for the clicky and can confirm this guide is still accurate. Will save yourself some time if you have a tracker but it really isn't necessary.

Did this solo as a 75 monk and could have just cleared all mobs in the listed
areas and was fine. Had to use a healing potion a couple times when I agro'd too many pulsings and had to feign once by the river when I had 8 on me (I got 6 of em <g>.)

In the north bubble where you'll spend most of your time you'll find you won't get more than a couple adds, certainly less if you pull to a wall. As you move closer south to the river the adds can start stacking up. Your PH's will often path across the river but they'll be back north soon enough if you don't want to worry about dodging the extra wanderers in the middle of zone.

Clicky does work from inventory but you do have to target yourself to use it.

Good luck!

The way I read that, the quest has no changed at all. The new text is simply giving more description about where each of the four larva spawn.

It *MIGHT* be saying that you need, a part from a mosquito, two flies and one worm now?

A friend just talked to the 'returned' Grimror. The final response is now different:

Grimror Plaguebringer says 'Grimror need bile, dat stuff es strong here! But Grimror keent seem to git eet all. Bile comz from da leetle bugs. Keel little bugs, and geeve Grimror dere leetel bodiez and Grimror give yuuz anyting dat yuuz want. Dere on four leetel buggiez dat Grimror still neez, two of dem come from da fliez, one comez from da wurmiez, and one comez from the moss-skeeterz. Yuuz bring Grimror dere lavas and Grimror geeve yuuz, and yuuz freends, anyting yuz want.'

Apparently, one drop still comes from larvae(worms), but one drop is moved to malarians(mosquitoes), and the other two are moved to flies. There are two fly types in PoD: tse tse and vetri, so likely each type drops one of pieces.
