Willamina is found in the Plane of Knowledge at about -425, 1155 (south side of the central area, nearly under the bridge to the library).

You say, 'Hail, Willamina'

Willamina says 'The city is full of curious people all searching for something. Many have struggled for a long time to find their reward. Some are not even aware of what is it they are looking for, but will know it when they see it. Would you care to [help] me out? It will only take a moment.'

You say, 'I will help you'

Willamina says 'How wonderful! To pass the time I enjoy sitting under the trees and sewing together luscious fabrics. But now it seems my old sewing needles have all broke or gone dull, and I require a new supply. Bolcen Tendag has promised to purchase and deliver some for me, but he has not yet arrived and I worry about him. If you could locate him and ask him

Head over to Bolcen Tendag (in the good part of the zone, in the building that leads to the archway to the library at /loc +685,+952, -123 at the doorway, from the sidewalk you will be facing north.).

You say, 'I have come for the needles'

Bolcen Tendag says 'I feel just terrible that I haven't been to see Willamina yet. Due to my illness I barely have the energy to stand. If you could aid me in some way, I would greatly appreciate it. Mirao Frostpouch might have an elixir that would help me feel better. Please seek him out and ask for it.'

Find Mirao Frostpouch in the neutral part of town.

You say, 'I have come for the elixir'

Mirao Frostpouch says 'That poor lad, he's always catching ill this time of year. Unfortunately I am out of the medicine he needs right now. Perhaps if you could obtain the key ingredient I am missing, I could brew up a batch for you to take to him. I have heard Cador recently came into possession of some black lava powder. If you can convince him to give you some, bring it to me right away!'

Find Oracle Cador in the good part of town inside the Shaman building.

You say, 'Do you have any black lava powder?'

Oracle Cador says 'You are most astute. I do have a stock of black lava powder with me, but I will only share it with those who prove themselves worthy. Onirelin Gali is currently in possession of an artifact I need to better commune with the spirits. Please recover it for me.'

See Onirelin Gali in the evil part of town.

You say, 'I have come for the artifact'

Onirelin Gali pauses for a moment and continues, 'I am aware of that which Cador desires. Be wary of his ways for they are not always as they appear. Nevertheless, if he thinks this artifact will bring him greater peace, he may have it for a price. Certainly I have no use for it but what do I get in return? I'll tell you. Narik and I used to be good friends, until he became jealous of my relationship with his former companion Elisha. During our fight, he marched off with one of my finest jewels, and I believe still has it. Find him and ask for my jewel back. If you bring it to me, Cador may get want he wants as well.'

Find Arch Mage Narik in the neutral part of town.

You say, 'I have come for the jewel'

Arch Mage Narik slams his book shut. 'So, the snake has legs after all! Tell Onirelin if he wants this back, he can come here himself and kiss my. . ., no wait. I have a better idea.' He draws closer and whispers, 'Did Onirelin tell you why I took this jewel? I did it in response to him taking my lady love, Elisha Dirtyshoes. We were to be married until she ran off with him. However, she also ran off with my engagement ring I gave to her. It is quite valuable to me, and I would be most happy to have it back. If you can procure it from her, I'll give Onirelin his jewel back. He's suffered long enough, I think.'

See Elisha Dirtyshoes in the central part of the zone.

You say, 'Can I have the ring?'

Elisha Dirtyshoes sighs and says, 'Tis a painful memory, for sure. My love for Narik fell once I met Onirelin, but my love for him was not reciprocated. Now I am left with no one to share my life, with only this ring as a reminder. Narik may have it back if he desires it, but then I shall be left truly alone. Boiron Ston once held a door open for me, such a handsome dwarf he is. If he could only find more time to spend with me, giving up this ring would be no problem at all. Do you think he likes me? Could you ask him and find out?'

Find a dwarf merchant named Boiron Ston in the central part of the zone.

You say, 'Do you like Elisha Dirtyshoes?'

Boiron Ston says 'Aye, she's a pretty lass. And I am aware of her feelings toward me. I haven't had the courage to approach her though. My family standard has recently disappeared, and no dwarf is the same when their standard is in jeopardy. Seek out Caden Zharik and demand my standard back, I believe he may have lifted it from me.'

Caden Zharik is a Gnome found in the central area outside on a ledge.

You say, 'I have come for the standard'

Caden Zharik turns white with fear. 'Ah, so he sent you to rough me up, did he? Fine, but you should know you couldn't hurt me any worse than Agrakath Theric would! I'm in a bit of trouble you see, I owe Agrakath some money I haven't got. So I stole the standard to pay him off. If you could please find him and have him somehow erase my debt, I would gladly give the standard back.'

Find Agrakath Theric.

You say, 'I have come to erase the debt'

Agrakath Theric grins and says, 'So, that weasel Caden has sent you to settle his debt? And you actually agreed to this endeavor? Ha ha, very well! I shall transfer the responsibility of what Caden owes me to your shoulders. I have a simple job for you. Somewhere in the library there lies a book I have been searching for, but it has eluded me for quite some time. I believe it can be found somewhere in the upper levels. You are to venture into Myrist and seek out a tome titled History of Evils: The Age of Scale, and bring it to me. Do this one task for me and your debt shall be relinquished.'

The book is a ground spawn in the library, on the bottom shelf located at about -95, 975, 68 (about a 30-minute respawn on it).

Take the book to Agrakath and then retrace your steps.

Agrakath Theric eyes go wide with surprise as you hand over the book. 'Very impressive for one of your abilities. Here, take this note to Caden. He is absolved of his debt to me at this time.'

Caden Zharik eyes go wide with relief. 'Oh thank you thank you! Here, take the standard. And do apologize to Boiron for me. It shall never happen again. Again, thank you!'

Boiron Ston seems to perk up. 'Ah, 'tis a beauty, is it not? I thank you for its safe return. Perhaps I shall go and visit Elisha after all. Please take this letter to her, so she may be ready for me when I arrive.'

Elisha Dirtyshoes reads the letter and says, 'Oh happy day! Boiron will be visiting me soon. You may take Narik's ring back to him now. If you'll excuse me, I have some cleaning up to do.'

Arch Mage Narik says 'This is truly excellent. You have done well recovering this for me. You may take Onirelin's jewel and also tell him never to set foot near me again. Leave me now, I have much work to do.'

Onirelin Gali says 'How did you get this away from Narik? Oh never mind, I'm just happy to have it back. I shall give you what Cador desires now, keep it secure and deliver it to him.'

Oracle Cador says 'The spirits are restful now that this piece of legend is in safe hands. You may take this to Mirao for whatever purpose he desires it for. May your vision always be clear!'

Mirao Frostpouch takes the powder and quickly dashes it into a boiling cauldron. He then stirs it and pours the concoction into a small bottle. 'Here you go, this should make poor Bolcen feel much better. Hurry now, he's waiting.'

Bolcen Tendag says 'Oh thank you so much.' He drinks from the bottle, then reaches in his pocket and produces a set of needles. 'I believe this is what Willamina is in need of. Please take these to her and give her my best.'

And lastly:

Willamina takes the needles and smiles. 'Thank you so much, kind stranger. I can't tell you how much you have really helped by doing this for me. It's funny, you know. The entire city seems to be in a happier mood today. I can't quite put my finger on it, but everyone seems to have uplifted spirits. Oh well, thank you again. I have something you may find to be of use to you, if you would be interested. Remember, knowledge is the key to life.'

You gain experience!!

You receive Planar Traveller's guide. This book is then used for another set of quests.

Easy run for a newbie. Grab sow and start with the book you pick up by Sir Vervaldi and work backwards; unless you enjoy the interactions. Everyone is located by using the find button except for •Agrakath Theric who is in the corner up on the hill on the evil side; Onirelin is by the task master Tralina Duker; Bolcen is found by going to the good side and at the way up to the library and of course Willimina who you find sitting on the ground over by the tree between the small bank and the library.

i was curious about her and started talking to her and then i looked the quest up. I started with the book and worked backwards-- since my evil baby druid, who helped the rogue and sk with their epics, could use a faction modifier, i decided to see the quest through.

Nice run just the way I like it to no zoning to other places for drops.
Did it in reverse order as was posted took at the most 5 mins.
I agree to that its a nice way to find yourself around the Districts of PoK.
Complete guide?

Quite a way down now Heggs Adecimal posted this great link. Its pictorial and sequenced so anyone can read the above text and refer to this map and complete the quest in less than 5 mins. DON'T BURY HIS HARD WORK with cntinual nebulous posts about "How do I?" or 'such and suches post was great'. The quest iotself really has exhausted any further need for posts unles somehow the quest itself changes. Now to reiterate the hard wok done by Heggs Adecimal . . .

Talk about hilarious, skip everything and just go to the guy on the dark side of PoK and do the lil spill with him for the book in the Library to pop and sometimes the book is already up. Once you have the book hand it in and go from there. Otherwise you end up visiting everyone twice...

This is an excellent quest for role players who like to interact with NPC's. There is so much running back and forth that you will quickly learn your way around PoK. At level 30 I was amazed to get over 2 full blue bubbles of experience after turning in the Planar Traveler's Manual and a Hobgoblin Surprise to get my Beginner's Magic Manual. So amazed that I immediately did the quest again to get the Stealth manual to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Sure enough, another massive dose of xp for the Stealth manual. It's worth all the running around and I like interacting with the NPC's. A naked level one character can do this quest so there's no excuse not to.

Yes, a level one can do the quest for the planar travelers manual. HOWEVER, do NOT attempt to get ANY of the beginner manuals until AFTER you are level 20. The turn in NPC will eat your items and you will get nothing in return.

RE: Willamina's Needles
# Nov 13 2003 at 4:47 AM Rating: Decent
Willimina is right behind the big tree at the druid/wiz port in spot.
The above states that Cador is near the POT stone. That is incorrect. Cador is on the good side buidling on the far right. Mirao is the one in the building near the POT stone.
Good quest

Did this quest yesterday with my lvl 38 necro in the "reversed" fashion someone suggested. Took about 20 minutes.

Then:

Jumped up to the Bazaar and bought a Hobgoblin surprise which seemed to cost around 2-250PP on Firiona Vie. (Hobgoblin parts sold for around 30-40)

Jumped back down and handed in the Surprise and the Planar travel book.

Here is where I was a bit surprised; I actually gained two blue xp dots from this!
(and of course a pretty nifty item)

A quest well worth doing.

I have found this to be a very easy quest to do, I pretty much know it by heart. Every newbie I meet that is willing to do so, I take them on this quest, it's great exp for newbie and gives them a pretty good item to start off life with. And as others have said it has helped many of them learn their way around PoK. I recommend this quest for everyone starting off at level one, just run to the stone book near you, do this quest, then head back to your newbie area.
Good for level 1

I did this with my new level 1 ranger. By the time he was done with the quest he was level 2. Super easy, just time consuming. I did it backwards as suggested and thanks to everyone who posted where to find all of the people. The /loc were on the mark.

I did the whole thing backwards in the middle of the night when there were only 30 people in zone (no waiting for the book to spawn). I probably won't need this item for 15-20 more levels, but it was easy enough to complete the quest with Track.
Quest Itself
# Apr 09 2003 at 2:27 PM Rating: Decent
The quest itself was quite easy. Despite the need to run all over the PoK. I had gotten a ranger to track most of the people for me. The hardest part was finding where the book was located. In all, it was fun and quick. Afterwards I showed my brother and a couple others how to do the quest. At least this quest doesn't need lvl 50+ like most of the others in the PoK. Heh...

As other people have said, this quest gives you next to no experience. My fifth level Barb Beastlord got all of 2% experience gain from doing the whole thing. However, I decided to do this quest because it seemed to take me all over the Plane of Knowledge, and I had never been there before. (I took a long hiatus from EQ.) This quest is just fantastic for figuring out how the PoK is organized, and I would recommend it to others just to familiarize themselves with the Plane.

I combined information from Sage Dargadin's Post (with Rozwel's corretion) and combined information Luethar's Coords to Fed Ex post and information from Scholar Joeracke's post. I did a little reworking for clarity and checked with my own experience from walking through the quest and came up with the following:

Starting from the book and working back to Willamina:

Book: -100, +1000, +68 (so you know which floor)
next to Sir Geravaldi

Agrakath: -552, +1216, -124 Erudite
NW most corner of evil area

Caden: -342, +751, -91 Gnome
SE corner of the group of buildings you see as you enter the Inner Ring of PoK comming from Agrakath.

Boiron: +31, +322, -123 Dwarf
(NE of Caden) outside and west side of building by Neutral Part in the Inner Ring.

Elisha: +391, +944, -91 Human
From Boiron, follow the Inner ring NW toward the north side of town. She is in the first door on the right after you climb the stairs to the buildings.

Narik: +446, +146, -156 Human
In the caster building which is directly to left of Nexus Portal.

Onirelin: -651, +1051, -123 Dark Elf
In the building with the ramp up to the library in evil area. He is to the right of the door as you enter the building.

Cador: +700, +100, -155
SE most building of the good part of town.

Mirao: -90, -211, -155
Building in the middle of Neutral Area east of the library ramp building and west of PoT portal

Bolcen: +683, +951, -123
Good part of town, he's in the building that leads to the archway to the lilbrary

Willamina: -428, +1148, -124
Sitting under a tree in the SW part of Inner town (south of Library north of evil section).

PS...if you're doing this quest for experience like I was ...DON'T ...I got a blue or less for my level 9 warrior from doing this.
