    You say, 'Hail, Aliafya Mistrunner'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'Pleased to meet you _____, I am Aliafya Mistrunner Preserver of Nature and loyal servant of Tunare. I have resided in this guild house for many of my years. I pride myself on being a mentor to many young druids of Tunare that come up through our ranks. If you are a [druid of Tunare] then I might have some work for you.'

You say, 'i am a druid of tunare'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'I am always pleased to see new faces amongst us indeed Ralen. However, I must learn if you are loyal to your house and your god by asking you to complete a series of training exercises. These tests will enable you to learn your way around this great land we call home and to pick up some very valuable hunting skills that will aid you in all of your battles to come. When you are [ready to begin your training] I will present you with your Leafrunners Assembly Kit.'

You say, 'I am ready to complete the test of loyalty'
Aliafy Mistrunner says 'There have been numerous attacks mounted lately by the orcs of Clan Crushbone. With their stronghold ever so close to us it is feared that a full-scale attack could level our city and at the very least, leave many of our bretheren dead by the hands of the filthy orcs. What I ask is that you bring me the detailed battle plans that only the highest ranking orcs could be carrying. Bring me these battle plans along with 2 pairs of Crushbone Battle Beads and I will surely reward you for your trouble.'

The Crushbone Battle Plans are dropped by Lord Darish in the Crushbone tower. The Crushbone Battle Beads are found on Orc legionaires and Orc emissaries.

Giving these items to Aliafya will result as follows.

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'There was no doubt in my mind that you could be counted on for this important mission. I will see that our tacticians get these battle plans so that they can be studied at once. Please take this Scimitar as a symbol of your dedication to your house and your god. You have done well, young Kiliak, may Tunare guide you always.'

Your faction standing with Soldiers of Tunare has been adjusted by 5.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Faydarks Champions has been adjusted by 1.
    You gain experience!

Can anyone tell me if this quest is active on the Agnarr server? My group camped the CB Throne Room for about 3 hours last night and didn’t see a single Battle Beads drop. It’s supposed to be Common so I started to wonder. Is this quest not available during vanilla and Kunark maybe? I couldn’t find that answer either.

The item this quest rewards appears to have been released about Planes of Power since it powers to its fullest during PoP so I'm going to set this as a PoP quest.

Just a note, I handed in 2 orc beads and the battle plans without doing any other step and received the Scimitar.

You're right, I removed the dialog related to the tunic since that's another quest.

On my Core Rules druid this entire noob armour set and scimitaer was done in 5 hours at around lev 9

hardest bit was lord darish but sow self, then go cb tr dot darish and run off, out run whole train with sow, keep snaeking back to dot him and keep out of range of huge train, when he falls over, nab the plans and zone

    all too easy.

in compariosn with my high elf core rules pally who took 3 weeks and 118 hours to get her noob armour set and was nearly level 17 when finally done, bloody giant sylvan bats

I am almost complete with this entire series of quests. I only have to get the Boots, and Cap, and my 17 druid will be laden with leafrunner gear.

I have to say, it comes at a price.

I had pure leather armor before, and almost every piece of Leafrunner that I have had has decreased my AC, and the more I put on, the worse it gets. The bonuses to stats are sweet, but if you are more worried about melee damage, you may want to re-think this quest.

Regardless, I plan on getting the last remaining 2 pieces, if for nothing else, for my own personal bragging rights, although if you really delve into this quest, you will see that there is nothing truly wonderful to brag about when it comes to this stuff. Good quest for newbies, not a great quest for 17 +.

Yes, while it's not a good weapon, I plan on getting it for my druid. Having a full Leafrunner set is my druids obsession. Luckily I met a level five ranger who doesn't mind helping with the quest.

    Battle Beads

I've been soloing in CB on Test and got a set of beads to drop off a centurion up on the trainer platform. I don't know aobut Darish though. I for one am not going in the castle itself for a while. haha

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these newbie quests supposed to be attainable by about level 10 or so? I don't think that killing one of the tougher mobs in CB and some legos or emissaries is worth a 5/24 magic scimitar. Just my opinion.

Of course, I haven't been in CB for a while, so I might be wrong on Lord Darish's level.

I've been able to kill Lord Darish several times with a group in the high teens. The throne room is fairly easy to clean out, they can be pulled one at a time, and Lord Darish only has one guard.

I would have to agree. In order to get to Darish, you or your group would have to be capable of clearing out the Throne Room and holding it until Darish spawns.

It's a lot easier to save up 40 to 50 p and journey to Oasis to buy a Combine Scimitar from the Gypsies.

The only difference between these two swords is that the Combine is heavier (and doesn't say Leafrunner).
