You say, 'Hail, Samatansyn Flamecaller'

Samatansyn Flamecaller says 'It is a pleasure to meet you Taniana, I am Samatansyn Flamecaller, Warder of Tunare and Guildmaster of Faydarks Champions. I have studied here for many of my years until recently when I took up teaching. I have many pupils that undergo my vigorous [training exercises].'

You say, 'what training exercises'

Samatansyn Flamecaller says 'I have a series of tests that all new rangers of Kelethin are suggested to participate in. These tests will help you develop many of your skills including hunting and gathering and will also provide you with a chance to fashion your own Trueshot Chainmail. If you are a [ranger of Tunare] and are willing to begin your training I will be happy to explain to you how the tests work.'

You say, 'I am a ranger of tunare'

Samatansyn Flamecaller says 'Excellent Taniana, then lets get started! Here is your Trueshot Assembly Kit. You will collect various items from the Faydark and Clan Crushbone that will be necessary for creating your armor materials in your assembly kit. Once you have fashioned together a specific armor material you can then take it to a forge along with the applicable pattern to create your Trueshot Chainmail armor piece. Simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft and I can provide you with the material recipes and patterns for Trueshot Chainmail [Coifs], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Boots], [Legplates], [Gauntlets] and [Tunics].'

You say, 'I want to craft a boot'

Samatansyn Flamecaller says 'To create your boots material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Severed Orc Foot, 2 Spider Legs in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Trueshot Chainmail Boots.'

Didn't drop from any of the many, many Orc Centurians I killed in Crushbone or Greater Faydark. Dropped from the first Orc Conscript I killed in Greater Faydark.
Using the forge

I combined all of the materials to make the mold, but I can't use a forge. What's up here?

which orcs
# Oct 06 2002 at 12:37 PM Rating: Decent
what orcs do you get the orc parts from such as the following, eye, fibula, finger bone, ribcage etc..

RE: which orcs
# Nov 24 2002 at 5:43 PM Rating: Decent
The ribcage is found in crushbone off centurians.
the rest is found at orc hill
and the finger bones are found off orc pawns but I may be wrong

fibulas are on Slavers and warden only
boots

For this quest do I need to get double the ingredients to make 2 boots or will it make 1 pair of boots? Bracer ingredients only make one bracer. Found this out afterwards.
RE: boots
# Sep 05 2003 at 8:44 PM Rating: Default
Bracers : 2-slots.
Boots : 1-slot.
RE: boots
# Sep 20 2002 at 8:48 AM Rating: Decent
You only need to make boots once. They are always considered to be a pair.

Bracers, on the other hand you wear two of. So you will have to make it twice.
BRONZE
# Sep 14 2002 at 8:11 AM Rating: Decent
I have one bracer only. But the problem is how do I get the bronze, FAST. Each time I came in to Crushbone is it trains or the Emperor stand in front of me. The few times I came in without die I dosn't get any bronze.
can you only make one of these items?
# Sep 10 2002 at 11:27 AM Rating: Decent
I made the chain coif but when i try to make the boots it tells me i can't
RE: can you only make one of these items?
# Sep 10 2002 at 7:26 PM Rating: Decent
You can make it all. Just double check all your ingredients and make sure you left out the mold. You only need that in the forge.
What the HECK?
# Aug 28 2002 at 9:48 PM Rating: Decent
I have the RIGHT items, and they're in the container. I press Combine, and it tells me 'itmes cannot be combined in this container typw' The Spider Legs are not stacked. What's up here?

Hmm...Did you put the mold in the Assembly Kit by chance? If so it wouldn't combine, as you first have to create the material then combine that with the mold in a forge. If that's not it then I'm not sure what the problem would be. I know I didn't have any trouble with it.
Having Problem
# Aug 12 2002 at 5:51 PM Rating: Decent
I put all the items, (bricks, severed foot, spider legs) in the trueshot assembly kit. I get an error that says I am using the wrong container. What am I doing wrong?
RE: Having Problem
# Aug 15 2002 at 9:50 PM Rating: Decent
Figured it out. A spiderling leg is not the same as a spider leg. Oh Well, I am learning.

If I had to guess I'd say you're probably stacking the spider legs. Everything needs to be completely separated out (no more than 1 of anything in each slot) or the combine won't work.

Combine all items EXCEPT the mold!!! The mold is only needed in the forge. That should be your problem.

what is the loc. of this person to get this geust
lvl 3 ranger
RE: where
# Aug 29 2002 at 8:18 AM Rating: Decent
Can't give loc but can give directions.

From the Priest of Discord head straight over thje platform over the rope bridge.

Take the left hand rising ramp. This will take you to a platform with the bank on your right.

Take the left hand ramp again heading upwards.

At this platform you need to turn rught and head down the ramp that is positioned there.

The building that you want is the one marked "Faydark's Champions" and is on the opposite side of the platform.

The person to tlk to is towards the back of the hut.

Chain Mail Boots

This was a fairly easy quest to complete and it is refreshing to find a quest now that a lower level player can do and get a decent armor reward with magical attributes. It took me about an hour to do and now I am going for the rest of the armor.

I agree these are very nice boots for the effort it took to get them. I plan to keep mine for a goodly long time...or until an overly generous hi-lev cuts me a deal on some dwarven workboots. These really come in handy ...FINALLY able to kick those damn willowisps

I agree. I have the boots, 2 bracers and the coif. Nice to see quests worth doing for lower level chars. Armor looks good too. So far the stats on all the armor have been +STR and +STA.
