You say, 'Hail, Aliafya Mistrunner'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'Pleased to meet you Ralen, I am Aliafya Mistrunner Preserver of Nature and loyal servant of Tunare. I have resided in this guild house for many of my years. I pride myself on being a mentor to many young druids of Tunare that come up through our ranks. If you are a [druid of Tunare] then I might have some work for you.'

You say, 'i am a druid of tunare'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'I am always pleased to see new faces amongst us indeed Ralen. However, I must learn if you are loyal to your house and your god by asking you to complete a series of training exercises. These tests will enable you to learn your way around this great land we call home and to pick up some very valuable hunting skills that will aid you in all of your battles to come. When you are [ready to begin your training] I will present you with your Leafrunners Assembly Kit.'

You say, 'i am ready to begin my training'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'Here is your Leafrunners Assembly Kit Ralen. In this kit you will place a number of [magical components] that will be infused together to create armor materials used to crafting Leafrunners Leather Armor. Once you have created the armor materials you will then take them to a loom along with the correct pattern to fashion together your armor piece.'

You say, 'what magical components'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'The components you will need to collect for your armor will take you to all parts of the faydark. These items can be found on some of the deadliest creatures and also on some of our most trust worthy merchants. Once you are ready to begin creating your armor pieces simply tell me what piece you [want] to craft. I can provide you with the material recipes and patterns for Leafrunners [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Boots], [Leggings], [Gloves] and [Tunics].'

You say, 'i want to craft bracers'

Aliafya Mistrunner says 'To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Wasp Wing, 1 Coyote Skull and 1 White Wine in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a loom along with this mold to fashion your very own Bracer of the Leafrunner.'

coyotes in gfay

There are coyotes in gfay itself. I found mine along the west edge of the zone, near the BBM zone line. Use Sense Animals to find them. At 9 and 10 (did the quest twice) I really couldn't stand toe-to-toe against the coyotes, but fear kiting them worked pretty well. Dropped a skull maybe 1/3 of the time.

I WENT TO NO RO AND BOUGHT A SKULL THOUGHT A DRU SHOULDNT KILL ANY TYPE OF WOLF
Coyote Skulls

Very distasteful for Druid to be killing wolves - very strange quest. I bought 2 coyote skulls off of a vender in South Ro (one standing alone closest to FP) and avoided the embarrassment...
Trivial?

It's a no-fail combine, but I got a skillup to 1 Tailoring on the second half of the combine.

There isn't a triv on these. They don't require any skill. So I guess that would mean it trivs at 1.

Coyote skulls drop from black wolves.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 27 2003 at 5:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Idgit! they drop from Coyotes NOT black wolves otherwise it would be black wolf skulls! two differnt breeds of canine. (added) eh? they put a coyote's skull in a black wolf's head?? how stupid is that?? that's like putting a Thick grizzly hide on a black bear for crissakes!

Which "Black Wolves"?

Are you talking the regular wolves in GFay and everywhere else?

I haven't hunted wolves in quite sometime - but I don't remember ever looting a Coyote Skull off of a Wolf.

Or - do we get these off of Coyotes?

I saw a post recently that they are now in LFay ...is this true?

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

The black wolves in Greater Faydark (or in any zone for that matter) drop coyote skulls. The coyote skull was added as a drop fairly recently (within the last few months). I have personally looted coyote skulls from black wolf corpses in Greater Faydark, East Commonlands, and Nektulos Forest.

<sarcasm>As an added note I'd like to thank whoever decided to rate my post down. That'll teach me to be helpful.</sarcasm> If you think I'm wrong, go check some of the boards for other quests of this type that use coyote skulls. Do you think everyone is lying? Or go kill a few wolves yourself. It may take a while (the skulls are a rare drop) but you'll get one.

Since I didn't want to slaughter poor black wolves who were looking at me with such trust and affection (well, amiably), I went to SRo to kille a few stinking coyottes.

Drop rate is rare, too, just like for wolves - so don't bother and kill wolves in GFay.

rangers?
# Aug 04 2002 at 9:35 PM Rating: Decent
I am a wood elf ranger, I lied and told Aliafya that I was a druid of tunare, she gave me the kit and told me which components to get. I have created the material needed for one piece of the armor. Will I be able to complete this, and wear it, or must I only be a druid? And, where do I find a coyote skull?

Only druids can wear this armor. More specifically, only Wood Elf or Half-Elf Druids.
