They drop from Woodland lions or lionesses, not young plains cats, and the tails look like snake skin..

i killed like 20 young plain lions and not one droppe the scalp? ive been killing in WK, what do they look like

I just finished this quest. I hunted in WK for about 2 days killed 20 to 30 beetles didnt get a single brain drop went to EC and first beetle i killed dropped the brain and the next 3 did to. Its a much safer zone and the brains seem to drop more there.

Anyone know where giant fire beetle brains can be found? Been hunting giant fire beetles in Western Karana with no success.
I sent my Bard (who has Track) into WK to find them. The Giant Fire Beetles are on the East side of the zone, close to the Qeynos road marker. They roam up in the foothills. She killed about 20 before the brains dropped, whereupon I discovered the brains are no drop. They look just like Scarab Brains.

Went over to EC and got a brain after my fith beetle.

I wish I did. I was hunting in WK for awhile, then someone suggested EC. I'm there now... Lots of Giant Beeltes to fight, some yellow some blue, but still no brain.
