You say, 'I am a young magician' Juegile Sohgohm says 'Excellent, you must have certainly heard of the [training exercises] all new recruits must undergo.' You say, 'what training exercises' Juegile Sohgohm says 'The training exercises that I have prepared for my recruits are very necessary for the development of ones intellectual and hunting abilities. You will be presented with a Beginners Sewing Kit first, that will be used to combine a number of different [magical items] to create an infused armor material. Your material can then be combined in a loom with a pattern that I will present you with to create assorted pieces of Arcane Order Armor.' You say, 'what magical items' Juegile Sohgohm says 'The items that are required for your armor materials will come from all area of Qeynos, including some of our merchants. When you are ready to collect the items for a specific armor piece please tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. I can provide you with the material recipes and applicable patterns for Arcane Order [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes].' You say, 'I want to craft trousers' Juegile Sohgohm says 'To create your trouser material you will need to combine 4 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Giant Fire Beetle Carapace, 1 Spider Legs and 1 Matted Greater Cat Pelt in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a loom along with this pattern to fashion your very own Trousers of the Arcane Order.' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Dose this guy even spawn any more! i even mad a ranger to track him and nothing so far....

I've found hunting the Giant Fire Beetle in West Karanas a waste of time for the Carapace. I spent a week killing dozens and no drop. I went to the East Commonlands and had a drop within an hour.

where, oh where can these be found...are they the same as plain lion pelts. any help greatly appreciated.

Where oh where do you find this item!? I been hunting and killing giant fire beetles in West Karanas but only once, just once, did one drop a carapace. But I sold it long ago before I realized I needed it to complete the Arcane Order Trouser quest. I must have killed at least 100 to 120 just got legs and eyes or nothing. I'm a lvl 16 mag.
They're fairly common drops in Eastern Commonlands. I bought mine in the Freeport wizard's guild (cost 1g 5c with 97 Cha), several merchants had them.

I put everything into the sewing kit and it wouldn't combine. Do the items need to come from a specific place or be a specific type?

Whoever took the pic for the stats, where did you get a giant fire beetle to drop anything other than eyes or legs. I even brought a carapace back from east commonlands giant firebeetles but that would not combine. Help please this is only item i cant complete.

Server got shutdown the other day for a quick patch. West Karana is now a zone i can play in again (was very bad link whenever i went into this zone). I had also completed the Paladin of Karana helm quest, with a large snake skin from Butchersblock.
So I tried the components I had in the bank again, GREAT it now works - Giant Fire Beetle Carapace from East Commonlands now combined.
I have the trousers!!!

There seem to be 2 types of FB carapace, one stackalbe and one not. I'd guess you need the other.

woven spider silks is found on giant spiders in west karanas. I can't seem to find the giant fire beetle carapace, its the last item i need.

where can i find woven spider silk, i think ive tried every combination of spider silk also i tried spiderling silk

To get woven spider silk, you first weave together 2 spiderling silks to get the spider silk thread. Do this three times. Then weave three spider silk threads together to get the woven spider silk.
Nope, Woven Spider Silk is a drop, not player-made. It's a moderately common drop off Giant Spiers in East Commons; I'm not sure where else it drops.
