Yo, i started a monky not long ago adn doing all my armor quests now. i started in freeport and their monk armor is agility based while this armor is dex based...i like it more hehe. i was wonderinf, can i do these quests instead? does it even matter if u start in other town?

These magical armor materials can then be combined in a loom with a magical pattern to create different Armor of the Silent Fist pieces. When you are ready to collect the items for a specific armor pieces please tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. I can present you with the patterns for Silent Fist [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes].' You say, 'i want to craft the gloves.' Seta Bakindo says 'To create your glove material you will need to combine 3 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Giant Fire Beetle Eye, 1 Chunk of Meat, 1 Ale and 1 Young Puma Skin in your assembly kit. I've spent literally DAYS trying to collect the woven spider silk off of the Giant Spiders, and haven't had any luck. Then, I finally figured out that they drop off of LARGE SPIDERS by accident, and have collect 10 in the last hour. Hope it helps you monks out.
Well, I've had no luck whatsoever getting a young puma skin...I was hoping a regular "puma skin" would work...*sigh*
As for Woven Silks...travel to NRo and/or EC and haunt the vendors...also can kill the spiders there for them, but the silks drop rarely in NRo and less so in EC.

Hopefully you people aren't forgetting the greatest resource for finding these recipes. Always check the most popular merchants that people sell to in the area where the component you need drops. If it isn't a nodrop item, chances are it will be sitting at the bottom of the list of some merchants inventory.

Annoying thing is I had to kill so many just to get ONE and I'm a cleric and had to get TWO for two bracers

Young Puma Skins drop off any of the cats in the Karanas. I got mine off a young lion in West Karana. =)

How do you make/where do you find the woven spider silk? I've never heard of it before. I've tried looking on the spiders around Qeynos, but so far nada. If I find out where they are/how to make them I'll come back and post.

Found what i was looking for, just had to look on the robe quest ;) They're dropped off of spiders, but i guess it's an uncommon drop... GL to all you monks out there
