Doing this at lvl 5 is a crock. The Gnoll pelts only drop from elites and commanders. You are not going to be killing them at lvl 5! Sure you could try buying one or beg someone to give you one or loot it but you are not going to earn this at lvl 5 by killing for it. Lvl 8 or 10 but not 5!! Other than the Gnoll pelts this is easy.
1) Brick of Crude Iron Ore: Drops from most any gnoll in/around Black Burrow (pups & scouts dont drop it). Orcs in EC drop it. Vendors sell it.
2) Brown Bear Feamur: Got it off brown bears in South Karana.

If I remember correctly The Pelts and the Bear Femer are not nondrop so if you just wander around for a few minutes you should have no problem buying them in Qeynos :)

as of today, Wednesday, Nov 13, 2002..ore is dropping plentifully off the gnolls in Q hills and in blackburrow.
Not getting the pelts..just HQ gnoll fur, and other grades, thanks for the tips on where to find the pelts.

No ruined pelts do not work the normal pelts usually drop commonly off elites

I just got the boots, they are AC 5 Dex +2 and Cha +1.
The Femer is a rare drop, so good luck in finding it.
As for the pelts, try at the temple, I found mine there.

I bought mine in the shops in Qeynos. Look around almost everything you need for this armor you can find in shops. You really only need to loot the no drop items and the iron, the rest you can buy easily. I know I did. SO far I have all of the pieces of the armor except the bracers (which I have heard are broken and the greaves). Only need the documents for the bracers and the black wolf tooth for the greaves. All the other items I have.

The pelts are droped in blackburrow off of gnoll guards and higher.

hmmm when did u do this....went to BB to get ore and all i was getting was pelts...
