You say, 'Hail, Sollari Bekines'

Sollari Bekines says 'Hello, there! I am Sollari Bekines of the League of Antonican Bards. I am at your service to train you as best I can. There have been a number of young bards entering our concert halls lately seeking guidance. If you are a [young bard in search of training], I might have some work for you.'

You say, 'i am a young bard in search of training'

Sollari Bekines says 'You need to look no further then, I can surely provide you with the knowledge you will need to make it in this world as a songweaver. The exercises that you will need to complete will test your
gathering and fighting skills. Once you have completed your training you will be outfitted with a suit of your very own armor! When you are [ready to begin] I will explain to you how the training will work.'

You say, 'i am ready to begin'

Sollari Bekines says 'Here is your Wind Spirits Assembly Kit. In this kit you will collect a different items that will be combined in certain quantities to create infused armor materials. These armor materials that you create can then be taken to a forge along with the applicable armor mold to fashion together a piece of Wind Spirits Armor. When you would like to craft
an armor piece you must simply tell me what piece you [want] to craft. I will then provide you with the recipe and mold necessary for creating Wind Spirits [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates].'

You say, 'i want to craft a helm'

She gives you an Enchanted Helm Mold.

Sollari Bekines says, 'To create your helm material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Iron, 1 Coyote Skull, 1 Bat Fur and 1 Honey Mead in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Wind Spirits Helm.'

The easiest place to get a coyote skull would probably be in the newbie area in the Steamfont Mountains.

Coyotes all over the place there and they are the terror of all the level 1-3 Gnome newbies.
Bat fir seems common

I dont know if I just got lucky or if they fixed bat fur. I had NO problem finding it. I think it is pretty common now
Time for a run

I would say travel to get the cyote skull. I went and got mine In Greater Faydark cauz when you use the scion it turns out to be quite a bit closer than North Ro.. You would probally have an easier time finding them on merchants in East Commonlands than you will in Kelethin..
Drops

You can buy lots of the other components in and around Qeynos hills, but the coyote skull and bat fur I have yet to find.

Btw, Color is about the same as royal frosted velium armor.

Um, bat fir is one of the more common items in Qeynos hills

Now I see people saying you can find coyote skull sin Q. Hills but after killing probbaly around 50+ wolves of all varieties in Q. Hills and WK from level 1-9 I never scored a single one. I even scoured the vendors and never found one. Low and behold I travel to EC and they are everywhere. Vendors had them, wolves were dropping them. So basically if you want the coyote skull just make the trek to EC. I guarantee you will score one.

how 2 get everything
# Jul 15 2002 at 3:59 PM Rating: Decent
OK i had a little difficulty with some things but here are where you can get everything.

The crude iron ore drops off ANY gnoll in bb, MUCH more commonly as the lvl of gnoll gets higher

Coyote Skull - Just go to Qhillz and kill ANY wolf u see be it rabid or reg, you'll find one.

Honey Mead - forgot exact name but once you go into gates, there is a vendor that usually has VERY high prices, you can buy it from him, costs about 5 SP

Bat Fur - This was the single most annoying part of the whole quest. Go you Qhillz or NQ and kill "whiskered bats" ONE dropped after about 30 kills for me (note, large whiskered and giant whiskered will not work!)

Hope this helps someone out there =)

Smith or not to smith

This might be a stupid question but... How much smithing skill do you need to make the wind spirit armor pieces?

I have done a few of these little bard quests in FP and Qeynos...you don't have to worry about having any smithing skill to do it. I have never failed and never ever heard of anyone else either. BTW, these aren't too bad of quests either. The armour looks cool. The Qeynos green is a bit of a diff shade than the FP one, but good newb quests nonetheless. I enjoyed them.

Coyotes Skulls

I have gotten them off of Rabid Wolves in the Qeynos Hills, and also off of Gorge Hounds in Eastern Karana, So I would guess they will fall off of any "Dog" (on 4 legs)

Hated by Bards but helping them just the same.
