I just did the combine using a lion mane from a woodland lion... the quest text states to use a lioness mane, but he's really lying to you (this doesn't exist)

This quest is available for Human Paladins of Marr.
You say, 'Hail, Edwardian Holyblade' Edwardian Holyblade says 'Greetings and well met ______. I am Edwardian Holyblade, noble paladin of Marr. I have devoted my life and my blade to the glory of Mithaniel Marr. I am also in charge of training all new paladins of Marr to make sure that they have the best training necessary. If you are a paladin of Marr I may have some [training] for you.' You say, 'What training?' Edwardian Holyblade says 'I have developed a training program for all young and upcoming Paladins of Marr. My tests will enable you to learn some basic hunting, navigating and armor crafting skills. All of these abilities will be very important on your path to enlightenment. If you are [ready to begin my tests] I will explain to you how the tests will work.' You say, 'I am ready to begin your tests.' Edwardian Holyblade says 'Very well ______, I look forward to seeing you progress through your training. Here is your special mail assembly kit. In this kit you will combine a number of components that you will collect from all areas of Freeport, North Ro and the Commonlands. The components that you will gather and combine in this kit will magical create a specific armor material piece. Each of these materials will be combined in a forge with the appropriate mold that I will provide you with. I will explain to you how the [recipes] work when you are ready.' You say, 'What recipes?' Edwardian Holyblade says 'Once you have crafted your material from the specific recipes I give you you will need the appropriate mold as I mentioned before. I can present you with the recipe and mold for Truthbringers [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. When you are ready to being collecting the components for a material recipe simply tell me what piece you [want] to craft.' You say, 'I want to craft boots.' Edwardian Holyblade says 'Boots are a wise armor choice because you never know what you will have to walk across and knowing your feet are protected is one less thing to worry about. To create your boot material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Lion Mane and 2 Wolf Meats in your assembly kit. I grew tired of hunting the few coyotes in N'Ro area... I headed to Ak'Amon via the PoK.. there are TONS of coyotes and small coyotes there- and even the small coyotes in the newbie area around druid circle and kobolds will sometimes drop coyote pelts.

There are a couple of different kinds of coyote pelts...but the kind you need for this quest (and for the Arcane Scientist armor too), is just a plan "Coyote Pelt". Not low quality. Not medium quality. Just Coyote Pelt.
It's really really rare. My pallie got lucky and got one after about a dozen coyotes. My enchanter however kept killing every coyote that moved, and didn't get one until he was level 12.

Well, I completed the boots, Breastplate, Helmet, Gauntlets and the Armguards, the only thing missing is the Bracer and the Greaves...
Question:
for the greaves I require 1 coyote pelt. Holyblade doesn't say which one...LQ coyote and ruined coyote doesn't work...I killed heaps of coyotes in N.Ro now, but noone dropped MQ or HQ pelts... any ideas?
secondly:
I need orc prayer beads..any idea who drops those?
the orcs in Ro or the ones in EC?

It would seem that the lion mane from a lion wont work but a lion mane from a lioness will.
I have found like 10 of these on ec vendors and tried one but must have got a lion one cos it didnt work, oh well its off to ec again with my lev 4 pally to try and get a lioness one.
Is it any wonder my char name is...

I just completed the Truthbringers Boots quest ten minutes ago, and a LION MANE works. I killed a woodland lion, not a lioness, the lion mane dropped, and it worked for making the boots. For those of you who cannot get the combine to work, do NOT stack the two wolf meats in the forge, put them in separately.

My friend is currently gathering the materials for the boots...and I'd like to say...why the hell do you need some wolf meat and a lion's mane for a pair of BOOTS?! Does the guy want a fur coat and a snack or something!?

I've done these quests with my Sk and my Monk. There is no such thing as a lioness mane, and yes a lion mane will work just fine. DON'T stack!! Have each peice seperate in the kit. And you need a turtle shaped carapce for the breast plate, that was a pain in the @$$ to find.

There is no such thing as a LIONESS MAIN (or atleast I have come to that conclusion) I tried using the LION main in place of it when combining the materials... It worked. I hunted 3 days for these and they never dropped... I actually ended up buying my lion maine from a vendor along with most of the other items that are required in this quest. Very nice look... i must be bugged because the BP part of the quest won't work for me =( I submitted a bug report... but GOOD LUCK and very fun trying to get all these items. Hope this was helpful.
hte breastplate isn't bugged.. u just need a green turtleshell looking stackable carapace, not the brownish one. Took me awhile to figure that one out too.
Someone must have succeeded if we have stats for the boots. Did they fix this? If not someone who has completed these boots post what you did.

Yes, the problem most people were complaining of(at least at the time of my post) was difficulty finding the Lioness Mane. The stacking issue is something people all across the board have suffered from, unless they've worked on Tradeskills before.

K ive been looking for the past 5hours now for that freeking lioness mane.... the regular lion mane doesnt work for me for some reason.... when he says lioness mane, does he mean get lion mane from a lioness and use that?

Which wolves drop the wolf meat??
I have killed a good hundred wolves in east commons, black and swadow, and have got no 'wolf meat', only 'chunk of meat'.

The trainer tells you to find a lioness mane.. well, you will never find it.. it is a Lion Mane.. also dropped by Lioness

Lions mane dosen't work, they won't combine, so like half of the other items in this quest, it is unattainable.

Thank you for posting this info, you don't know how many lioness i've been killing and finding no lioness mane but because of this I will finaly get those boots =)
