I have been hunting for those skins for a week and I mean like 7-8 hours each day in the same zone. I killed about 40 or so Gila Monsters (not Young Gila Monsters, those I don't count) and looted only 1 Gila skin.
Im about to give up and advice anyone who is still up for those quests to place a petition about the retarded spawn of such loot. Remember, more of us complain - higher possibility to see things changed for the better.

This quest is for evil human casters.

Under the guidance of Opal Darkbriar, a founder of our order, we study the darkest aspects of the various sorcerous arts so that we may aid and bring power to others who follow our patron deity, Innoruuk, the Prince of Hate. If you desire I will help you obtain a suit of [protective clothing] suitable for a practitioner of the sorcerous arts. Once you have been properly outfitted, return to me and I will aid you in obtaining a [Staff of Dismal Rage].' My necro has been hunting these skins for days and have not looted one skin. I have found the biles but no skins. I also have not found any merchant selling the Young Gila Monster Skins. If you know where they can be purchased please let the rest of us know.

Has anyone had better luck finding gila monsters than me? From level 1-8 i've found and killed one, and one i tried killed me (at level 4). Seems this mob is a BIT too rare, or i'm looking in the wrong place (NRo area closest to freeport).

All of the Rage Sorcerer line of newbie clothing is for human casters that follow Innoruk.

I have everything except the robe, no gila monster skins. I have found lots of bile, but not a single skin. Will give it up soon. It must be no drop because it isn't sold by merchants like the young gila monster skin.
