I've been working on this quest and had everything perfectly done...but for some reason it won't combine in the kit. I know I am not supposed to put the mold in the kit because I've done the boots quest so far, but I am perplexed as to why the hell it won't combine. Think it says something like "These items cannot combine in this container." -Talk about frustrating too...spent three hours not leveling so I could finish this quest and it don't work, ARGH!

Sten Harnak says 'Greetings to you Isola. I am Sten Harnak Virtuoso of Freeport. I have lived in Freeport and studied the art of songweaving here for all of my days. I am always eager to see new faces here in our concert hall. If you are here for a performance I am afraid it does not start till a bit later but if you are a young bard in training then I might have some [work] for you.' You say, 'What work' Sten Harnak says 'Well I have numerous concerts here that I must prepare for so I always must be sure that I have the best possible support as far as my fellow bards go. I am always seeking new young talent to sing in our concerts. If you are a bard I have made tasks for you to complete to see if you are a worthy songweaver. These tasks will test your determination and battle skills. I would only allow one that has completed all of my [specific tests] to sing in my concert hall.' You say, 'What specific tests?' Sten Harnak says 'If you are ready to begin your training I will assign you a number of tests. These tests will enable you to outfit yourself with a suit of armor only worn by the most respected musicians of Freeport. First, I will present you with a Songweavers Assembly Kit. In this kit you will combine certain [recipes] that will be magically formed into an armor material. Each one of these materials will need to be combined in a forge with the appropriate mold to make your armor piece.' You say, 'What recipes' Sten Harnak says 'I have the material recipes available for Songweavers Platemail [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. When you are ready to craft a specific piece simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. For example if you would wish to craft a helm tell me 'I want to craft a helm'. Also please keep in mind that the components necessary for crafting your breastplate material are the most difficult to collect so you might want to collect them last.' You say, 'I want to craft a bracer' Sten Harnak says 'A bracer is a very vital part of any bards arsenal. To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Brick of Crude Iron Ore, 2 Chunks of Meat, 1 Black Wolf Skin and 1 Cats Eye Agate in your assembly kit. It is not bugged. I bet you are stacking the Chunks of Meat! Put each Chunk of Meat in its own slot and combine. It works.

I had exactly the same problem today. Collected all the items but they won't combine. My boot and helm worked perfectly. But the bracer just wont combine. Rather frustating.

Do the centurians drop iron ore more often than pawns? Or relatively the same?
There is no skill check involved in making these items, though you could get a skill increase when making them. :)

The man who gives the quest will not respond to hails so u have to use driect says to get the items u need such as the Mold and kit

I see someone posted a comment about Wood Elves not being able to do this. Is that true? Also, I got the kit, but they didn't give me the recipe or mold (or is the assembly kit the mold). Do I have to ask for it again? Isn't the box NODROP?
You can probably do the quest but the armor isn't wearable by woodelfs. Its only usable by human and halfelf bards. Woodelf Bards have thier own newbie armor in greater Faydark. To get the mold, remember to ask for, "i want to craft <insert the slot name here>" Bracer mold is lore so to get the other bracer, you'll have to craft one bracer at a time. As usuall remember not to stack any times in the box.

Try again and look closely at the text he says after you ask him "what recipes?", he will give you an example of what you should say. Goodluck!

These new Quests are awesome! These should be done by any and all new bards, the bracers are my favorite peice so far!

Well not all bards. Looks like the Wood Elf bards get nothing. *sigh* It's bad enough we have to start in the stupid tree city of hell, and now we get no armor.
