Dalorio is located in the same building as the bank, in the room around the
corner with the long table.

You say, 'Hail, Dalorio Blistbobble'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Zonkers! You scared me! Well it is good to meet you nonetheless young Lobracawen. Many young Guardians of the Vale often come to me for guidance. If there is something I can help you with in your training you make sure you let Dalorio know! In the meanwhile I will be working on my [trade]. '

You say, 'what trade?'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Well you see Lobracawen, I have been an aspiring blacksmith for quite sometime now. I have spent mostly all of my spare time since I was just a wee whipper snapper like yourself collecting different materials and trying to craft anything and everything of value in our town forge. Blacksmithing has always interested me and that interest is exactly what led to the creation of my [special recipes]. '

You say, 'what special recipes?'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Well its funny that you ask Lobracawen, I have just recently perfected my smithing recipes for Proudfoot Platemail. I would be willing to part with my recipe along with a mold for each piece of this fine platemail to any apprentice willing to [collect the necessary items] to craft it. '

You say, 'I will collect the necessary items'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'You will eh Lobracawen? I am happy to hear of an upcoming Warrior of the Vale willing to collect the items necessary to craft their own armor. I must admit that you could really use some armor because it can get quite dangerous out in the thicket! Now back to business! To craft your own Proudfoot Platemail you will need my magical assembly kit that you will combine the items I ask you to gather for specific recipes. After you have done this you will use the pattern I give you along with the material you have fashioned and combine it in a forge to yield your armor piece. Now are you [ready to get started]? '

You say, 'I am ready to get started'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Very well Lobracawen, let's get to it! Here is my personal Platemail assembly kit. Inside this magical assembly kit you will combine certain items collected both from the thicket and our great city of Rivervale. It is my hope that while you progress in your training and through the different armor pieces that you will be able to learn of your surroundings both inside and outside the Vale. If you are ready to start fashioning your items simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to make. I have the recipe for Proudfoot Platemail [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. As a side note, make sure you craft your Breastplate last due to the difficulty of collecting the items for it.

You say, 'I want to make a helm'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Ok Lobracawen, for your helm material you will need to collect 2 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Large Yellowjacket Tarsi, 1 Ruined Wolf Pelt and 1 Jumjum Juice then combine them in your assembly kit. Once you have crafted your Proudfoot Helm Material combine it with this
mold in the forge to create your Proudfoot Platemail Helm. '

When you combine the items make sure that the pattern isn't in the box just the ingredients then when they combine it will say you have fashioned EXAMPLE Proudfoot Helm Materials. then you take that and the pattern to a forge one by the druid guild and combine the materials with the pattern. C-ya i had the same problem
What to do?

I tried this quest. I got all the ingredients and then put them in the box the npc gave to me. I tried to combine them but it said that i could not combine in that container. Anyone know what to do? Thanx in advance.

Ruined Wolf Pelt is a fairly common drop off both Black Wolves and Shadow Wolves.

Jumjum Juice can be purchased near the druid guild at the female vendor that stands behind the wooden counter/stall thingmajig.

Bricks of Crude Iron ore are a moderate drop off Goblin Warriors in the area outside the wall in Misty Thicket. These bricks are heavy (15) so be prepared to make a few trips or bring a weight reduction pack. You'll need 23 of these for a full suite I think.

The Large Yellowjacket Tarsi is the fun part. For starters, you actually need to get a Large Yellowjacket Tarsus. Tarsi would seem logically to be the plural form, but you only need one so is a grammatical error it would appear. Large Yellowjackets spawn in the newbie half of the zone and are a fairly uncommon spawn (more uncommon than Thorn Drakelings). Your best bet is to just keep killing things in the newbie area until they spawn. You'll need a tracker if you hope to get the two of these that are needed (one for helm, one for breastplate).
Large Vs. Giant yellowjackets

Is there a difference? I'm assuming there is. though we tracked the zone for 4 hours one day, never to see a "large yellojacket". I ended the day w/ 3-4 giant yellowjacket tarsi, but not one large. and no, the giant ones wont work (for me at least).

Large yellowjackets spawn in the area before the wall. Seems like they share spawn table with bats and drakes (bats being overwhelmingly more common). So just kill everything youre able to and maybe one will spawn. /shrug

You can use a Large Yellowjacket Tarsus instead of the Large Yellowjacket Tarsi. Fairly easy quest. So far I have accumulated all pieces except for the breast plate. I have yet to see or find any Giant Fruit bat rib cages or Giant Yellowjacket Thorax. Also the mossy rat pelts can be found on the diseased rats. Grizzly bear skins can be found on the Young Kodiaks.

Just FYI, Tarsi is the plural of Tarsus
